Wells Fargo Bank Reviews

Wells Fargo is one of the worst banks ever. Absolutely crooked bank, they removed money from my deposit I had made, and then said I had to prove to them that I had made the deposit!!! They have been investigated for fraudulently opening accounts for people and charging them already. The problem is they have little competition when it comes to large banks. They have minimums on all accounts that I have, and absolutely horrid charges. The service at this bank in Mountain View has always been poor. In fact, I just asked them a question and they gave me the completely wrong answer. They have now moved to a building across the street, with little to no street parking and the branch is like a sussage, where you have to enter from one door, get your transactions screwed up, and then leave from the other end of the building!!!

I had the misfortune of dealing with Wells Fargo Mt View Branch trying to close a safe deposit box that belonged to my deceased father on behalf of the estate - pre cleared all my documents required, informed them of my travel plans to come down from Washington state to handle the affair on 5/24/21 -1 6 weeks in advance of my arrival, , got the green light from Bhawana Kocchar “premier” banker (yea right), spoke to Ms Kocchar to confirm everything was in order by phone twice- confirmed everything was in order. Arrived at the bank at 9:30 am, it is now 11:30 and they are still trying to get permission from the district manager. Even after re-emailing the permanent conservatorship papers. This branch displays such impressive incompetence, I am challenged to find a more incompetent crew throughout my banking experiences dealing with the estate. I guess I can honestly say that I am pleased to say there is no way I would ever let Wells Fargo have a single penny of the 7.5 million dollar estate and as conservator - I am pleased to say I will never be returning to deal with this incompetent crew again. What a joke.
I would like to apologize for the treatment you received when visiting this branch, Alan. Allow me the opportunity to have this experience thoroughly reviewed and addressed. When I Googled Foreign currency exchange this was the only bank to come up so I thought they would take my Can$ but unless I opened or had an existing account there Wells Fargo wouldn't exchange my $$$. So for anyone looking to exchange foreign currency don't bother even walking in the door unless you have an account with them or are willing to open one.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Jennifer. I truly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Please email me at [email protected] with your, full name, phone number, mailing address, Google username, and also mention your review on a Wells Fargo location (no account numbers). I look forward to addressing this matter. -AJ, Wells Fargo HL Social

I've always liked the service here. I have accounts at two banks, and this one always has the shortest lines and most helpful people. The mortgage specialist gave me bad info, so I'm deducting a star (this would be a one-star review if I hadn't double-checked). They have international currency exchange and safe deposit boxes at this branch.

Outstanding service! It would be very hard to find any professional service that will go out of its way to help its customers as this branch has. Here's my story.... My mother had Alzheimer's and lived in the apartments a few blocks away. This was her branch. The staff here ALWAYS went out of its way to welcome her and her dog, Scotty. The employees made her feel special and amongst friends. But wait! There's more. Alzheimer's is a cruel disease, and one of the sad truths is that it can affect someone's judgment. Sadly, my mother often fell victim to scams for she just didn't have the ability to smell fraud as she used to. Leave it this Wells Fargo to help us family members be alerted if our mother did any activity that was out-of-the ordinary. (Disclaimer: Hey, we did have power of attorney (POA), so everything was all above board.) I have to give credit; there was at least twice that this branch saved my mother from falling victim of another scam. Over four years ago, we had to move our mother away from the area and into an assisted living center so that she could get the care that she deserved. But, four years later, we were back in the very same branch as we had to set up a Trust in her name. Although banks traditionally have a high turn over rate, this bank had many of the same employees it had four years ago. They all fondly remember my mother, and each had their own story of some of the sweet things that she did. After that, what can I say? Well Fargo offers a lot of services such as public notary, Medallion Stamping, and other amenities at no cost to its customers. But, regardless, it's kind of hard not to go to a bank that really treated your mother like royalty.

It's rather surprising for me to consider writing a review about a bank, however the staff at this Wells Fargo location is amazing! I've encountered many friendly people at banks throughout the years, and a few not so friendly / incompetent ones. And, after I had enough of Bank of America and Bank of the West. I'm here. (I'm still also at Chase, they are a solid second-place for me.) I've been in the bank quite a few times since opening my accounts. Each time, every person I've met has been super-friendly and nice. I haven't been to other locations much, so I don't know if it is company wide or just here. I suspect, just this location. Anyway, the staff is exceptional in attitude, service, and competence.

I just broke up with Wells Fargo and I'm surprisingly sad about it. I had a mortgage, checking, and savings account with them, and I've never gotten anything other than prompt, effective, professional, and friendly service. What a rare and wonderful combination in a big business! I've actually looked forward to my interactions with WF employees. Clearly, management has done an outstanding job in both hiring and training. The only reason I left was that Chase offered me an amazing deal for refinancing my home mortgage, and unfortunately, Wells Fargo wasn't able to meet the rate :(. Were this a difference of a few bucks re a different savings account interest rate, I'd have absolutely stayed with WF, but alas, it was a difference of many thousands of dollars, so I had to regretfully break off the relationship :\.

I walked to the bank earlier today and the workers at this establishment are hands-down the most friendliest people I've met at a Wells Fargo. They suited my needs and made me feel comfortable being there. This is now my go-to bank.

I came on a Saturday evening at 5:50 pm to open a bank account, and I was able to open it by 6:07 pm. Loved the professionalism of the staff and their going out of their way to open my account. Look for Jonathan, he is a great guy
