Zach was very professional and thorough. He arrived early and since the house was empty was able to start early. He took pictures of everything that would be a concern, went through the pictures with me, explained what it was showing and said what needed to be done to correct the issue. Speaking to relatives who are also in the process of purchasing homes and knowing what they paid for their inspections, $700 - $800, Weatherstone is a good value. I would definitely recommend Weatherstone to friends and family that are in need of a home inspection service.

I chose to use Weatherstone based on all the positive reviews and initially thought they performed a thorough inspection until we moved in and realized the oven didn’t work. The inspector turned the oven on but didn’t have the intuition to open the oven to ensure it was actually working and getting hot. I called Weatherstone and explained the situation. It took the owner, Matt, several days to respond claiming the oven worked when his inspector looked at it and then several more days to have a another conversation to clarify that was not true. He promised to reimburse me for the cost to repair the oven and then I never heard from him again. Weatherstone Inspections (and the owner Matt) does not care about you or your property and have made no effort to make the situation right. Who knows what else they missed. I cannot recommend Weatherstone Inspections in good faith. The intention of this post is to prevent more innocent person from being wronged.

I have used Weatherstone for multiple home inspections and I would not use anyone else. They are very professional and very thorough with their inspections. They communicate clearly and let you know exactly what is going on with anything they find immediately. They also get out to the house quickly and get their reports to you immediately. Just a great company.

The appointment was made for the day after I called. Justin R. arrived on time and conducted a great inspection within 3 hours. He was happy to have me tag along and was receptive to answering every one of my questions. He climbed the roof, crawled in the attic spaces, and provided good information about everything I pointed out. I ordered a house inspection and a scope sewer inspection. They also provided the sewer video. I paid $340 for the house inspection and $170 for the sewer inspection. I wholeheartedly recommend Weatherstone Inspections.

Very please with the whole experience, very Professional and curious. The office staff was awesome with setting up the appointment. We had Dan come out and inspect the house, and even though it was the last one of the day for him on a Friday he took his time an went through the entire house. He left no part out. He took his time to explain everything to us down to the paint chips on the walls. Overall will recommend to everyone.

Justin was professional and very thorough. When I booked the inspection I wasn’t offered the radon test or informed that it wasn’t included until I received the report. I find it odd since it’s a dangerous gas commonly found in SE Michigan!

Weather stone or provided an inspection for us in 2018 as first time home buyers. In hindsight there were quite a few things overlooked in my opinion. Firstly, the front bay window of the house had broken window panes and broken seals with condensation inside. We were told by the inspector Zack that it’s as easy a fix as replacing the windows, however, anyone with experience should have seen that the window was sinking and the entire bay window needed to be replaced, a $4500 issue versus what he told us would be a less than $1000 fix. Secondly, one of the storage rooms in the basement had tarp taped onto the ceiling, when asked what that was all that he said was that it was a tarp. If he’d looked underneath he would’ve noticed evidence of mice. Lastly, when entering the attic through the panel in the closet, the panel apparently broke. The sellers blamed us for this, our inspector said it was already broken. Regardless, this is not something that should fall onto the new buyer of the home. When contacting the company a few months after we moved and settled in about fixing the panel, I was told that Zack would reach out and schedule a time to fix it, which he never did. As first time home buyers we were unaware of a lot of these issues that ultimately should be picked by an inspector. I would not use this company again for an inspection.

As this was an out of state sale for my husband and I, we were not present for the inspection. First, I have to say that we received the inspection report the same day as the inspection. We found it to be quite thorough, but we still had questions. Corey called us back within 2 hours of leaving a message, and he answered all of our questions and went into greater detail with us as we came up with additional questions. He assured us that if we thought of something later, to feel free to call him back. We would definitely use this company again, and we would definitely request Corey again.

I would recommend Weatherstone Property Inspections to anyone purchasing a new home. Corey Jalbert performed a very thorough inspection that covered everything from the chimney roof flashing to the basement sump pump. He seemed very knowledgable and was helpful with his observations and recommendations. Getting the peace of mind that the house was solid and knowing what was in working order and what repairs were needed definitely made the inspection worth the price.

I do not want to criticize this small business - like many mom and pops, I am sure they are trying their best. So let me make some suggestions. 1) Do not move forward with a job unless you have a signed authorization. 2) If a customer does not respond to your email - perhaps they never received it and it went to someone else. CHECK emails before you send confidential documents so make sure you are sending to the correct email. Do this BEFORE you send. 3) Invest in a SECURE system for sharing confidential documents -- anyone can sign and access the documents you are sending out now. 4) Do not hold hostage your inspection report and then force the customer to sign the authorization - after the fact - in order to access it. Re-read step 1. 5) Take responsibility for your business - errors and all -- and put an owner on the phone with your customers -- not a "customer service" rep. If you are on vacation, cell phones can reach just about anywhere. Do not use "he's on vacation" as an excuse not to reach the owner. Very unprofessional.

After my purchase offer was accepted on a home, Weatherstone was able to get in there the very next day and I received my inspection report first thing the following morning. While on site, the inspector was very thorough, but also completely respectful of the property. The report was extremely detailed and included color photos with pertinent items identified by circles and/or arrows, in addition to highly descriptive text. This is everything that I could possibly want from a home inspection. The price is more than fair and my lender is also quite pleased. They will be my go to anytime I need an inspection performed.
