Wauconda Community Bank W Liberty St, Wauconda

I really like this Bank and all the people that work in it. They are very efficient and friendly. My biggest gripe is that at the drive-in window they don't make the far left window for business transactions. Somebody simply depositing a check should use any other lane. I typically have large Bank envelopes filled with deposits for my business. And I sit in line and wait for Joe average when there are other lanes open and available that I simply cannot use. This is an inconvenience to another wise great bank to do business with.

I love this bank! I love the small town feel and personal service. I love the junior savings program for kids. And, free cookies and coffee is always a nice touch. But honestly, my favorite thing is that that every Christmas (and Easter) they have Santa and Easter bunny for the kids. This has been meaningful because every year since my kids were little I have taken them to the Santa event (and some Easter) and have the (FREE) picture ornaments that they give. When my kid are all grown up (it is happening soon) they will have all their ornaments from many years from here. So even though this is a bank, what I love the most is the "little" things they do that are actually "big" things in my eyes!

The bank does not have any fees, minimum balances etc. for their checking account, which is great in comparison to surrounding banks. When you walk in, you feel like a client, rather than customer. When I walked into banks across the street, they often just tried to sell me credit cards. Wauconda Community Bank is much more personalized and friendly. I also spend a lot time abroad and never have any trouble opening my account for international use. Always someone will answer the phone and get your problem solved quickly and with satisfaction. Also, you are supporting local Wauconda / Chicagoland banks rather than a corporate giant.

I wish I could do 0 stars! This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Every time I went in they always gave me issues about everything. Since I switched to 5/3 bank in Wauconda I've had no problems, people that work there are so nice n helpful. This bank should take notes from 5/3 on how to treat people!

Been at this bank for years and they are constantly charging me a $35 overdraft fee even when the money is being direct deposited to my account. For bein negotive for a few hours in the am they will charge $35 and refuse to refund it. Over and over and ovwr again. They like gettin rich off there customers.

Harris bank stopped doing lake country tax bills so they referred me to Wauconda Community Bank in my home town. When I got there the person behind the counter tells me even with the cash in hand she couldn't send in for my tax bill unless I gave them all my information including a Social security number and or open a account with them. Total B.S!!. I drove across the street to Fifth Third bank in Wauconda where i was greeted without a attitude from the teller and they had NO PROBLEM taking my cash without any more information and payed my Lake county tax installment. I have NO account there either by the way! W.C.B you stink!.

One of the best banks i've dealt with. I have 3 accounts, 1 personal and 2 business accounts. I've been with WCB for over 10 years and never had any real issues. Before I was with larger banks and felt like I was just a number.

The time it takes for checks to clear hear is outrageous. And I don't know what to say if you don't have direct deposit. Good luck. Ussualy they let me get a hundred bucks so.i can fill my tank and get some stuff done but alot of times they don't let me. Thinking about going to Chase. Not with this bank.

Absolutely love this bank! This is the only bank that I know of that still has a change machine in the lobby! This is one of the only reasons I bank here but other than that they have an amazing staff and cookies!
