    Washington Trust Bank Reviews

If I could post a negative review I would. This is the WORST BANK I HAVE EVER EVEN HEARD OF. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I got scammed for the first time ever where I lost over $100. I did everything I humanly possibly could to contact the fraudulent supplier, no response. I contacted Washington "Trust" (trust, what a joke) and they gave me such a small time frame (2 weeks, while I was out of town 1 of those weeks) for me to write a detailed letter with everything that happened. I called right away to get the timely part of it understood. I wrote a letter within a WEEK (not a bad time frame) that took me HOURS to write, signifying every detail and picture I could resembling this issue. One month later, I got a letter saying that my dispute was closed since they didnt receive my letter. So, I double, triple checked like I did when I originally sent the letter that it was SENT and that no possible error could have occurred (bc that does happen). But nope, it said it sent. So I called the bank to get that resolved and they said to resend it. Great, thank you I was more than happy to do that. But, this time I waited on the phone until I was told they received my letter. And they did! Great. So I patiently waited to hear back from them regarding the letter I took hours to write and prepare. The guy that was helping me supposedly got promoted to a different department. So I'm playing phone tag at this point with the rest of the staff to resolve this issue. And can you believe it? They DONT HAVE MY LETTER! Excuse me? I have not only sent this letter more than once with a confirmation still to this day I am able to prove, but I have been completely disregarded and my dispute has been "officially closed" due to time frames with VISA. Oh yeah? A time frame? How about not only have a staff that can man up to this mistake of losing my information, but have a company that actually cares about helping me. I SENT A LETTER WITHIN THE TIME FRAME. It's not MY problem that their staff not only lost my information but have been so unprofessional about cleaning up their mess. This bank DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. I asked to speak with a manager SEVERAL times, couldnt do that for me either. I have years of management experience and a bachelor degree in business under my belt, with exceptional customer service care. The only thing I care about in my work environment is customer service. That's how you KEEP customers. I was very polite, very respectful of the uncertainty and unprofessionalism that was going on, but that was not reciprocated. Every detail I mentioned in defense to my perseverance through this- was dodged, disregarded, and ultimately disrespected. I have never dealt with such unprofessional, TACKY customer "care" in my life. I didn't waste hours of my life going through writing a letter and playing phone tag with calls to get me no where. Like I said, I have years under my belt of how to take care of people. You can not trust this bank with your money. I have never spent time writing a review, but because I actually care about the dignity of others, I'm voicing this to prevent more people from falling victim. And every washington "trust" in this state will get this copied and pasted review to ensure people are told the TRUTH about their immense lack of trustworthiness and professionalism. Wells Fargo, capital one, many other banks will actually have their stuff together to resolve issues. I offered more patience than anybody could have possibly given them, because I'm an understanding, forgiving person. But when I have done everything I humanly possibly could to kindly defend myself and persevere through my kind efforts of the "trust" I was guaranteed, I'm gonna write an honest review. I gave them AMPLE opportunities to resolve this and they continued to stick to their pride and diligently chose not to help me. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Should not state "open" if they are actually closed. I understand its due to covid, but it'd still be nice if they took the time to change their hours.
