The team we worked with was absolutely amazing. This was our third home purchase using a VA loan and they were by far the best we've ever worked with. They worked really hard and were even able to get us to closing ahead of schedule (at our request). They took it upon themselves to take care of things I had to do myself in previous purchases which made our transition from overseas back to the states much easier. We highly recommend their services!

Mike led his team and ensured the whole process overall went smoothly and everyone was knowledgeable and kept things as pain free as possible. The team even made sure the stressful parts of the process manageable and easier to get through than other loan offices. That said, there was a noticeable night versus day difference between my previous experience with the USAA loan office. I’m glad my friend recommended me to Veteran’s United and Mike, and his team!

If you are a Veteran and you are buying USE THIS CREW!!! Mike and team were highly professional, and super responsive. Mike even called us when he was out of town, to set up.our pre-approval. Talk about an awesome person! Don't let the negative comments steer you wrong. I can personally validate that Mike and team walked us through the property tax process in Illinois (for 100% disabled vets), they also checked on us almost daily!

Veteran's United. Professional, friendly people that really know what they are doing. Customer service was outstanding, which is very rare these days. DO NOT finance with them if you have any kind of Veteran’s tax exemption. Or if your state pays taxes backwards for years. They do not handle it in a way that actually benefits the veteran and will instead hold thousands of your dollars in a mandatory escrow account for years until the previous years’ bill finally shows 0. Regardless of the letter from your county they receive. Do yourself a favor and talk to other banks to save the headache of having them hold thousands of your dollars hostage in an account with 0 potential growth. We are now looking to refinance and already have companies with better answers than what we’ve been getting from these crooks.

If you are a veteran looking to buy a home, I would highly recommend that you talk to Veterans United first. They will evaluate your credit rating and provide guidance on things you can do to improve it in a very short period of time to ensure the best rate available. Additionally, you will work with the same team throughout the whole loan process and they are very good about communicating with you. They are professional, courteous, prompt, and knowledgable and will make your home purchase a smooth experience.

I had such an amazing experience with the entire staff! I was expecting this to be the most stressful experience of my life, but honestly because of VU, i didnt feel that stress!
