Veteran United Home Loan is a very professional team of professionals that put their clients needs upfront. I am thankful that I chose their services in buying my first home. I will be forever grateful to them for making my dream become a reality. I recommend Veterans United to anyone that wants A+ service. My loan specialist Mrs. Chelsea Perkins was the best. She was so informative and helpful. She made my journey seem effortless. I am grateful for her professionalism and customer service skills. She is a great loan specialist that definitely cares about her clients. Thank you Mrs. Perkins💯🎯🙌🏿

My loan specilist Bob Duran was very awesome! Buying our property long-distance was tough because it's easiest for me to sit down in offices and go step by step. But, with email/telecon we were able to communicate effectively. The Veterans United system is very user friendly, each step of the loan process there was also a team member available to answer any questions I had. I would recommend working with Veterans United!!

Would you like to be pre approved one month then fully approved the next month only to find out days before closing that they made a mistake on their end so you are denied even though you’ve already cancelled your lease and then they forward your mail for you to the address they denied you for weeks after denying you? Literally the worst! They set us up with a real estate agent that would only let us meet her husband and ignored us most of the two months we were looking for a house.

English is my second language so, please bear with me. I tried using USAA for my loan first and did not went well. USAA extended the process, were always asking more and more documents and proof of documents and at the same time they never gave us a concrete feedback. Every time I asked how is my loan going the answer was always the same, it looks good. This dragged on for more than 30 days, than the person who was taking care of my loan became impossible to be contacted. I was leaving messages, calling 3 to 4 times a day and no returns. The day I got a return from her it was on Friday at 1655 (they close at 1700) and the person just told us the loan was not approved. I must say, I got traumatized with the process and I though that every loan institution would be the same. That they would tell you it was all good, ask for a bunch of documents and at the end simply say NO to my loan. Well, I love to be wrong. With Chelsea and Veterans United they made the process easier and Chelsea was always at our side assuring the paperwork looked good and that the loan would be approved. Me, been the hard headed I am I was in disbelief that this time the loan would be approved, but in the end me and my dear wife we got the house. I have learned that the loan process is a long process. Many people that you don't know and never met are involved in the process. I want to thank to all off them from the bottom of my heart for believing in me. Now I own my house and this is a new stage in my life, finally I will be able to start building my wealth and be able to secure a more stable future. Thank you Chelsea Perkins and Veterans United for helping me move on to a new life.

Sadly my agent decided to buy down my rate and not tell me about it which had my final closing costs through the roof. My agent told me to ask family members or take out a loan to pay for these extra costs that he incurred for his sole benefit. Im already buying a home and on top of that he wanted me to owe more money to family or my bank. Way to look out for Veterans. As it turns out Veterans United is NOT part of the veterans network. Immediately we found a new lender who did not have to buy down my rate and now my closing costs are reasonable. Be careful when dealing with Veteran's United. I'm not the only person they have tried to con. Poor business practice for sure

    Response from the owner

Hey Barbara, It's disheartening to read this review. Even if we can't match another lender's rate, we want to treat every Veteran we work with like our own family. I'm sorry if we didn't live up to that expectation. Generally speaking, we don't encourage our borrowers to take on more debt before or immediately after closing a home loan with us. I wasn't able to find you in the system using the information in your review, but I'd love to have our team take a closer look at this case. If you are willing, please contact our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or by email at [email protected]. We'd love to find out who on our team you worked with and see what we could have done to better serve you. Take care, Jerod, Client Relations

I bought my first home using Veterans United. I did this at a time when in my life that was less than ideal, due to work, pandemic unknowns and a crazy schedule. Buying a home was explained to me as something exciting and overwhelming all at the same time by family and friends... this was not my experience..I just experienced exciting moment after exciting moment. Veterans United took care of absolutely everything and streamlined the process. The website makes knowing your next task to complete incredibly easy. Bob will also break down all the numbers on a specific property. He did some magic of what he expected my payments to be on a home and to be honest, he got it within a few odd dollars. There are some seriously hardworking and brilliant people at Veterans United and I cannot recommend them enough. I have my dream home and peace of mind, I was able to focus on other aspects of life and not stress about the home buying process.

Please look somewhere else. I found a mortgage company that saved me closing costs, over $3,100 to be exact. VU went to match but then I heard that they have had issues closing on time. They were going to get a decent rating from me because up to then my customer service had been great. They had hard feelings over me transferring to a different company so instead of transferring my appraisal they canceled it after receiving the paperwork to have it transferred. By doing this they intentionally tried to sabotage my closing date. This would have left my family, 2 small children included, homeless until closing could happen. Luckily the team at the new mortgage company made my closing happen on time. For a company who cares about veterans they certainly have a funny way of showing it. I am a 21 yr veteran. You can do better elsewhere.

    Response from the owner

Hi Joe, I wish we could've been the team to get you across the finish line, but we are happy to hear that you were able to find the right lender for you. I can assure you, we'd never intentionally sabotage a closing date, and I'm glad to hear you were able to close on time. Please note that we can't transfer an appraisal order, only a completed appraisal. So the best option we could see was to cancel the order, allowing your new lender to put the order in directly. When your lender orders the VA appraisal directly, they're the first to know when it's completed, which streamlines the process and eliminates potential roadblocks to closing. Thank you for your 21 years of service to this country and for the opportunity to earn your business. We wish you nothing but the best for you and your family in your new home! Take care, Jerod, Client Relations

I was well pleased with the entire Veterans United Team! The positive tone and detailed communication were initially set by my Home Loan Specialist (Ms. Philicia Pringle) and later extended both by my Home Buying Concierge (Ms. Michelle Terry) and Insurance Agent (Mr. Mike Lottes). I appreciated the information and assistance they all provided and would definitely recommend Veterans United to my friends and colleagues who are looking to finance a home!

First of all, Solibel Ramos was amazing. Not only Solibel provided me an outstanding service, she was always prompt to respond my texts, emails and phone calls regardless of the day and time. I had to switch my loan company to Veterans United due to lack of communication. With Veterans United, everything went smooth and quick until the closing day. I am very glad I went with Veterans United and I would definitely recommend Solibel Ramos. Thank you again to Solibel and Veterans United.
