We’ve been in the house for just over a month now, we are loving it. Floor plan is great. There was maybe a few times that things got a little off schedule, but some things can’t be helped. I enjoyed working with the whole VB team throughout the process. If you’re looking to build, check these guys out.

Our building process with Value Build was easy and relaxed. From the very beginning Ron and Danny were very helpful. My husband and I were payment driven and Ron and Danny worked with us to get our payment where we wanted, and we still were able to build our dream home. Paul was our builder and he was great to work with. I could call Paul at any time with a thousand questions and he would answer them all and was very present. Paul was so helpful throughout the process and he kept us updated weekly with an email at the end of each week. I could not be more thankful for how our building process went. Our home is beautiful and I would definitely recommend Value Build to build your forever home!

Joe Johnson was a rockstar and helped us through the process every step of the way. He stayed on top of contractors as if it was his own home. If we decide to build another home, I want Joe to be our field manager and will follow him wherever he goes.

I have not completely started the building process, but I literally cried tears on joy on my 1st call with Brooklyn. After calling a lot of companies and being treated like a number, she spent over an hour on the phone with me going over numbers and the process. We talked about family and everything. She was absolutely amazing.I ended that call educated, confident and all around happy. For this reason alone I will definitely be using True Value to build my dream home.

This has been a great experience from day one until now. My home designer Don was awesome and informative. My house supervisor Chris was just great. He helped me through the process, provided contacts and most importantly explained what I needed to do along the way. This was a new experience but an enjoyable one. I’m looking forward to moving into my new home this weekend. Hats off to Chris for a top of the line experience and I know the next homeowner will be as excited and pleased as I am. We moved into our ValueBuild home in January 2022. We absolutely love our new, custom home. We are pleased with the quality of the build and the partnership we had with Paul McNeil who managed our project. Communication with him was ongoing and consistent. He listened to us and was responsive to each question we had—and we had a lot of questions! We stayed within our budget and customized a floor plan to create the home we wanted. Retirement looks great in our ValueBuild home!

My husband and I are excited for our dream home. And to see it being build from the ground up has been exciting.

I have to say that I did not think I could buy a house let alone build a new house but Brooklyn at the Sanford location was amazing! She helped me through the loan process and helped me get started. Once I got my pre-approval back they told me they would fit a home in my budget and they sure have! Val was great with helping me understand the whole process, with finding the right property, being there for EVERY phone call, email, and text and all the paperwork. He helped me figure out what I wanted in a home. He seen my vision and made it happen! Then I moved on to Chris and he had been great as well. He has helped me through the grading, surveying, plumbing and all the building stuff. He has got the house up and moving and I can not wait for it to be completed. He has listened to everything I wanted and had explained what is happening next. I look forward to the weekly updates I get from him through email. They have been nothing short of amazing and I definitely couldn't do it without all of their help! I always tell everyone I know or even people posting about homes to go to Value build! I highly recommend them! I can not wait to be in my new home soon! Thank you to the whole team!

Edit: Our home was "completed" February 11, 2022. There were a few minor issues that needed to be addressed after completion. These were noted at the time and of May 9th, all issues were finally resolved. Towards the end of the build and during the months since completion, communication has been lacking. Sometimes it took days for a response or we would have to contact someone else from Value Build in order to get a response from the build supervisor(s). Communication has also been extremely frustrating with the reconciliation of our home equity responsibilities. It has been 3 months since closing and we still have not received our refund. In addition, Value Build calculated a lower refund amount than what our records showed. We are still waiting on them to confirm the final amount owed. If you choose to build with Value Build, be sure to keep copies of all of your HER expenses and any reimbursement checks. All in all, we are happy with the final product of our home. I think your experience just depends on who you work with from Value Build. Original Review: Our house isn't complete yet but our experience with Value Build has been great so far! I had a good feeling from the first phone call when Debra talked us through the entire process. Everything has gone exactly like she said it would. Terry was our home designer and he promised to keep up within our budget and he did! Shannon has been great keeping us informed of everything along the way and answering our questions. Rick has been a pleasure to communicate with and Taryn has been AWESOME! She always responds to my many questions immediately or finds somebody who can! We cannot wait for our home to be complete!

Super efficient, kept to promised timelines, had good quality crews that worked long hours. Would recommend them all day. The team we had with us through this Don, Ron, Taryn and Rick from the office side, and the incredible contractor Paul; they always were on top of things and keeping the flow moving toward completion. We had a 2 story plus walkout basement completed in just under 4 months! Update to review… After being in the house for 1 year and 3 months the fire place doesn’t work. I have called the contractor number for repairs to the fireplace 3 times in the past 2 weeks. The contractor has been trying to get a response from value build on the issue, but I have heard nothing from them. The fireplace must be super cheap to not be working already, and then for them to just ignore the issue since it is SLIGHTLY over a year is not what I expect of them. I will change/update my review if/when this issue is resolved. This issue is resolved. It did take a bit longer than I thought it should, but resolved satisfactorily.
