Auto loans good banking good mortgages do not do it I have had 2 mortgages with them both were a pain in the a55 fist one missed the closing date they told me repeatedly they could make cost me $500 they promised to repay yeah that never happened. Second one told me I did not need flood insurance got a letter after moving in saying I did took I don’t n ow how many transfer on the phone to get it fixed they don’t service there own mortgages they use a 3rd party that does not care . I will never deal with them on this again.

USAA is a decent bank with great Auto Insurance, but that’s about where it stops. If you are a person that likes to deal with cash transactions/deposits; their ATM are all you have and they are typically worthless for depositing cash and always seem to be broken. Their investments and return rates on savings are garbage. Money market accounts beat the pants off them in this regard. I’m highly considering switching banks and I’ve already switched credit cards because of how bad they’ve got with any type of rewards/return rates. Even their interest rates are typically 10 to 20% higher than other institutions. So now I’m done getting loans through them as well.

I bought a house in 2008 and in 2012 I PCSed . I called USAA to get insurance on my house because I was going to rent it. I told them I wanted insurance on my house to protect me from my renters if my house was damaged. They set me up with a policy and i made every payment on time. When I retired and moved back home I found my house had been destroyed. I put new floors in before I PCSed, New paint, and updated the bathroom. All the appliances where less than 3 years old. I was renting to soldiers and i was trying to do them right. Well any way when I got home like i said my house was destroyed. The siding on thr garage was ripped off, the back side of the house they used to shoot bb guns at, the base board, door trim was broken in nearly every room, almost every door needed to be replaced, large holes in the walls. When I called usaa to make a claim they sent out someone to look at the house. They gave me an estimate for $2000.00 and told me that I had a $2000.00 deductible. So i called a contractor to get my house fixed. They gave me an estimate for $10,000.00. I sent it to usaa. They called me a couple days later and told me that I had the wrong insurance and they were going to refund me my money for the last 4years and they were going to drop me and after everything was fixed I could get insurance with them again.

Wasn't able to process an IRA transaction from another company, BUT they gave us a prepaid envelope to the correct department and gave us information that really helped.

Trash. I have not gotten a ticket in in over four years every six months my policy goes up 30 dollars will be leaving tommorow.

willing to lock account not tell you why and have you on a 2 hour wait to talk to anyone been with them for 7 years now and this is the third time i have had problems with them about to switch everything to other companies.

I am disappointed the only way they allow you to make payments is by a bank account. I have money that is put on a re loadable card and when I want to use that money I have to either make multiple withdrawals from ATMs and then buying a money order or giving it to someone to deposit to their local bank and have them write me a check so I can add it to my account. I just want them to get their online and phone options set up like a local branch because if they had a local branch I could just go in and they could just swipe the card and take my payment. The card isn't a credit card but it isn't attached to a bank account.

Most worthless company ever. I mailed a Payoff for an auto loan and they cashed my check on the 18th of Feb and have some stupid internal policy saying they wait 15 days to process payoffs. So they would not release my lien until 25 days later. Basically they kept my money for 25 days. Another lost customer keep going down this path and eventually you will be out of customers.

I have been banking with USAA over 20 never a bad experience always go above my expectations! ☺ love this bank!

Never had a bad experience for 10+ years. It's almost unbelievable how on a roll the customer service representatives are.
