US Title, LLC Dashiell Pl, Woodbridge

This is by far the WORST title company I've ever had experience with. I was in the mortgage industry for 10 years as well as bought and sold a few houses...so I've had experience with several title companies. Never have I seen such an incompetent, unprofessional title company. Janice Washington claims she has been doing this for decades, however it doesn't show at all!! She doesn't have a clue how to do her job properly from what we've had to deal with. It's been almost three months since the sale of our home and the property is still in our name! She never requested a final reading on our water account, which includes a whole month of the new owners water usage and is still outstanding! Meanwhile, she is holding our money in escrow and won't answer any emails or return any calls. The owner of this pathetic title company (Troy Heitchew) obviously doesn't care how his business is run either since he has yet to respond to an email. If they don't get it together soon, we will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Insurance Administration.

Great title company. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. They were able to clearly and concisely explain every step of the process. I would recommend to all my friends and family.

First time home buyer and they made the closing a pleasant experience; made sure I understood everything and was a smooth and efficient closing.

Bad service. Ignored clear communications and directions from several parties. Misinformed the real estate agent. Did not bring deed to closing for seller to sign. Funds didn't flow until more than two days AFTER "closing".

Janice Washington in post closing, was not very knowledgeable about title clearing nor cloud on title issues. She was told of an issue on title but never reported it to anybody that could fix the issue for months. I am not sure this is a place you want to have the most important investment of your life closed.

Troy Heitchew, the owner of the company, handled the closing for my first home purchase and made me feel at ease. Would use their services again.

The team at US Title is very professional and had our closing documents completed ahead of schedule. They were also willing to travel to us because of the pandemic.

The staff here went out of their way to work late hours to conduct our closing; they exceeded my expectations.
