I have banked with UCU for several years and have always had prompt and excellent customer service experiences. It's what has kept me a member even after moving away. UCU has incredible employees and I would highly recommend this financial institution to anyone.

Every time I go through the UCU head quarters, I am never greeted with a smile. The employees act like they hate their jobs and are rude. I have to repeat myself about 10 times for someone to understand what I am talking about, I have asked to talk to the manager more times then I should. It is sad because the smaller UCU on the Orono Campus has treated me very well and always took good care of me. Please re-open the on campus location soon. I would rate the on campus UCU with 5 stars, but the head quarters only gets 1 from me. On a positive note the manager at the headquarters is awesome and always has helped me.

If a bank is going to freeze your debit card, for 'security' purposes; doesn't it make more sense to call the account holder, instead of leaving them stranded? It is Friday, I am in a different time zone, and there are not even any Customer Service hours on a Saturday. So, my money is frozen for the weekend, thousands of miles away from home. My former institutions never did this to me. I also should not need permission to travel; if I lost my card or it was stolen, I am obligated to report that. I just checked my accounts, this afternoon, online, and all charges are fine. I traveled for a week before this business decided to freeze my assets. I would dare say that is negligent, on their behalf. Nevertheless, a simple phone call would have avoided the inconvenience dealt to me now. I am regretting switching to UCU. Maybe a complaint to the NCUA is now in order...

I have been going back and forth for the last 72 hours with my local bank as well as fraud services because they can’t seem to figure out why my debt card isn’t working. I have been a member of this bank for close to ten years. I will be switch bank tomorrow when they open.

I live in Lancaster,CA and I had an issue getting my motorcycle registered in my name because the pink slip was signed off incorrectly at the bottom and it said "Company name must be counter signed" and all that was their was the name of employee. I did not know what to do and then I saw where I had to call...Maine! I was like o man how am I gonna do this I can't drive over there but I called and they immediately transferred me to Rebecca Dinardo who was patient and took the time to understand my situation and immediately took control of it once she knew what was going on. 1 week later I get the paper work I need to present to the DMV to get my motorcycle in my name. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for her help and I just had to leave a review for the awesome service that was provided. Thank you Rebecca and anyone else who was involved really appreciate it, more than you can ever know.

I had to deal with this place a year ago when my dad passed away suddenly. Out of the 5 banks my father has accounts at this place was by far the worst to deal with. They were very unhelpful when trying to find out why there were charges on the UCU credit card post death. I actually had to get a lawyer involved to deal with a very unhelpful, uncaring woman named Amy. Run from this institution.

They over charged me today with my only 1 overdraft transaction a $120.00 as an overdraft fees, for only one transaction within a 24 hours. I did talked to them by phone and I went to them but they won't fix their broken poor system, which is makes all my previous transactions as pending while I'm using a debit card with a pin number. Just a new legal way so they can rob their own customers, just recently I was thinking to open a business account for my new store but I changed my mind after they overcharged me. Plus they told me without any respect that she want to educate me! (Like a punishment in my opinion) for what? Is it for being a loyal customer? they did this to my small personal account, so I don't think I will open any business account and I will close my personal account as well. Not recommend for sure.

I have had accounts at a few different credit unions, but by far UCU is my favorite. The staff are amazing and take care of all my needs with smiles on their faces. UCU offers many different services and I always find what I need!

I have had nothing but very good service from both. the employees have always gone above and beyond in my opinion to answer any and all questions. Never had to wait to get a reply if by text/email. Thank you to all at University Credit Union super job

I reached out over 5 months ago about refinancing a business loan and car loan and did not get a response back. Maybe you should see who isn't doing their job because you lost out on a tremendous opportunity.
