    So I do love this bank but when my card was taken and I didn't realize it til Sunday there was no one to contact and went through a ton of numbers, even scam people trying to cancel it. The location in Statesville, N.C. is great people. There should always be a corporate office with a.person I can talk to, it just caused me a lot of stress, people will steal anything they can get their hands on nowdays.

    Applied for an account with this credit union. Submitted everything they asked and was still denied because I would not unfreeze my credit report.

    I love my United Federal Credit Union. They have big bank capabilities and services with a local community bank feel. Ever person I have had contact with has a concentration in giving personable and reliable service. They seem to have very limited employee turnover so I kind of know everybody in there. I switched from another nationwide bank several years ago and I am glad I did.

    The folks in the local office are helpful and deserve a special call out. Two stand outs that help me include Dorthy Hensley & Anya. They deserve 5 Stars too. I had an issue during the purchase of a new vehicle. Andrea from the home office, with help from her management staff helped to resolve the issue, with a resolution that was beyond my expectation. Needless to say I was extremely happy with the outcome. This was a learning experience for me which will be helpful in the future so I will not to make the same mistake again. Thank you UFCU.

    I hardly ever deal with these people but when I have, the service is really dependent on the person you talk to. Katie or something like that, called and left a message. Could hardly understand her because of the background noise of banging and yelling, plus she spoke very fast. You know the information you are leaving by heart so don't assume the person you are leaving it for knows any of it. Slow down and speak CLEARLY along with giving CLEAR instructions. Called the 800 number and talked to Natassjia. She was very helpful and the reason I gave 4 stars and not 1.

    DO NOT BANK WITH THESE CROOKS! I wired a payment to this bank, it was accepted and came out of my account.. the money stayed out of my checking for some days then got refunded and marked my payment as delequent.. They send me an email to contact collections... Every time I call they hang the line up on me.. Completely unacceptable for an operator of any sort to hang a phone up on you after TWO holds. I drove two hours to HQ and deposited in person.

    UFCU has been very unprofessional in their home loan process. It took a whole week for them to be honest with me and tell me they want me to go conventional loan instead of USDA loan. They (TRISTAN MORGAN) were extremely slow in returning my calls and emails. And quite frankly gave me the run around I have a stable income excellent credit score (816) to be exact a great potential customer. Very dishonest bank freedom mortgage approved my USDA loan in 48 hours no questions asked. My advice go somewhere else they lost tens of thousands of dollars in interest. Mmm one customer really does matter! Very unprofessional......I edited this post on 4/20/21 after reading “response by owner “ I did email the email address listed below and the only response I got is sorry for your experience we will let the appropriate manager know. Thanks for your feedback?? No correction or solution was made. I look forward to closing all 6 accounts I have with UFCU.

    I can't speak highly enough for the staff and service at UFCU. I've been a member for YEARS and have always been taken care of anytime I've walked into the branch or called. When my debit card was stolen and an attempt was made to purchase a $500 gift card, the CU put a STOP on it immediately and had my money back in my account within a day or two, FAST. Rates are always competitive and FAST when it comes to approving loans. The only thing I don't like is the website for the credit union as a whole (has nothing to do with the branch).

    I have been banking with them for several years now, and have never had a single problem. I switched away from First Citizen due to them refusing to give me a small personal loan($2500). Their reason was my credit history wasn't long enough. My credit score then was a 730. UFCU didn't bat an eye on giving me a loan. I repaid the loan a month later, and have been with them ever since. Now i have a 810 credit score and its only growing higher :)

    1.0 star rating 2/25/2016 First to Review I've had multiple loans with this Credit Union. I recently came to find out after buying my SUV in July of 2013 that I was given 60 days to make my first payment that they've been charging me every month since September of 2013 for late fees ($25/ea). I didn't notice them because none of this was stated on their little app that is a nightmare to use. I call them up to discuss the issue and they tell me well tough luck the contract, that i never received, I agreed to said my first payment was due in 30 days. Their manager Brandon could care less and pretty much said well tough luck this is what you agreed to even though the woman who approved the loan clearly told me I had 60 days for my first payment to be made. Well they may be $700 richer but they are losing a long time customer and I will be refinancing my vehicle with someone else. I warn anyone that is considering them for use, their business ethics are awful and all they care about is making a buck off of you.
