    I would not use this bank at all. They do not tell you they will steal the money when you re-finance your car loan. At all other banks you get the unused portion of your GAP insurance back. These guys keep it or shall I say steal it. In my book unused means, “Not needed, not used, not theirs to keep” this is stealing, and they are good at it. They have very small print in the loan papers stating you must cancel the GAP insurance before 60 days to get your money back. They are a joke, do not do business with them! They will steal your money!

    Welcome to my TED talk. 🙃 I have always had memorable experiences coming to this branch. Every time I've had a problem with them they treat me like I'm the problem and like I'm stupid. I always leave feeling worse than when I went in. I've always loved United, but if you ever have a problem DO NOT go to this branch. I would suggest the Stevensville or the Benton Harbor branch. So unprofessional here and straight up rude. I was supposed to have new cards (a debit and credit card) sent to me, and after checking the mail for two straight months only my credit card came in. I had to get a whole new debit card and number. The lady helping me at the Saint Joseph branch said my card was delivered according to her computer and it should have been in an unmarked envelope (which I've gotten new cards before, so I know this), but I did not receive anything and I explained all of this to her, but she just kept arguing that I must have thrown it away, like I wouldn't open any envelope I received. She "so called" activated my card for me, but said it would be a a day or two before I could use it. I asked her if there was anything I could do until then because my car was on E and this was the only day this week I could get groceries (I work 50-65 hour weeks). She said "You can figure something out" and then asked the next person up in line. I don't like to cause a scene and I was too overwhelmed to think rationally at the time, so I just thanked her and left. Thinking back I should have just withdrawn money at the desk, but oh well. I always try to be so nice to any staff I interact with, because I know how hard it is working in customer service, but she was straight up rude. This isn't the first time I've had someone be unprofessional to me there. One time I left in tears and I, being the nice person I am and this branch being more convenient, always try to give this branch another try and again I left in tears. I entered a pin at the credit union and the lady said that the card was supposed to be activated after a day or two and still nothing over a week later. I tried calling an activation number just in case and the number listed wasn't even connected. When I called this branch twice, no one picked up. There seems to always be employees around the building, but only half of them seem to be helping. I'll be going to the Stevensville branch sometime this week. Just wanted to warn anyone thinking about switching credit unions/ banks, this is not the place to go. They will treat you so well at the Benton Harbor or Stevensville branches. I promise.

    Terrible credit union. I’ve had my car loan with them 2 years. My payment has been raised twice. 0/10 would not recommend.. they will not work with you at all.

    The young girls at the counter seem eager to help. The older woman acts as if she has a lemon wedge permanently stuck in her mouth. No smiling, no attempt to help a customer. She's willing to look down her nose at customers and her own co-workers though. I'm looking for a local credit union, but people like her providing a negative atmosphere will have me continuing my search.

    Unbelievable avoid getting an auto loan with these people at all costs. Once you pay off the loan they will simply just hold your car title and not mail it to you and then lie to you when you ask for it. I have been waiting 6 weeks for my car title and lost several $$$ in the process when it could have been sold. Every time I call it’s a different story of where the title is and when I’m getting it. Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!

    if you plan to open a business account with UFCU, DO NOT DO IT! Trust me, the bank lacks in systems to operate simple tasks like sending wire-transfer, link business account with other app platforms, ACH and such. Awful service attendance by chat which always requires you to visit a local branch to confirm your identity. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using UFCU to run your business!!

    United Federal Credit Union is a great place to utilize. They have friendly staff. They offer a variety of services. They are up to date with technology. And their customer service is wonderful. We appreciate them so much that even after moving away, we chose to continue using them. They partner with other credit unions so you can utilize onsite banking still if you need, but most everything can be handled online.

    United Federal Credit Union has customer service like no other. The people there are so helpful and knowledgeable. I truly appreciate the whole organization. I have delt with Monica of thier mortgage department numerous times with excellent results. I strongly recommend United Federal.

    I filed for the small business Government PPP loan with United Federal Credit Union, and never got approved. They never called me until I called them several weeks later only to find out the program was out of money and had closed. Either there was an error in the paperwork or it never got submitted, not sure because they had no answer for me, only a vague apology.
