Union Savings Bank financed the purchase of my house in February 2022. Drake Snyder and the team were very easy to work with and were able to meet a 30 day closing deadline. I got a great interest rate with very low closing costs. It was a pleasure to work with them!

The loan officer, Joe Jeffries was lazy and lacked communication. Wasted my time, hurt my credit by running it when I didn’t have the employment to qualify. Pulling teeth to get any customer service. This company lost my mother (a millionaire) as a client and as soon as I can obtain financing elsewhere, they will also lose me. I will be sure to let every one of my 3000 Facebook audience as well as anyone who will listen, to avoid this company. I should mention, I’ve paid off a loan with their sister company Guardian and have excellent credit. Unfortunately, Union has discounted me as unimportant because I am not wealthy. Then again my mother is wealthy and she was not treated well either. Prior experiences doing loans with Union have met with the same results. A loan officer uninterested in doing their job. I’m guessing they are paid regardless of how many loans they write. No other explanation for the utter lack of communication and customer service. Sad, sad, sad! Congratulations Union you are WINNING!

I worked with Union Savings banks and I can say that it was a complete nightmare. How they have such good reviews, blows my mind bc that was the reason I used them to begin with. My lender was great at first, he was nice and decently responsive. 2 days before our closing date I got a call from his boss saying I fell out of underwriting and they couldn’t give me the loan. After that he was almost impossible to reach and essentially ghosted me as I was trying to scramble to get a new loan. Reached out to 3 other mortgage lenders and was able to get a loan and those 3 said that they have no idea why I fell out of underwriting as the reason Union Savings gave me made no sense. Avoid this bank at all cost and save yourself the trouble.

Worked with Bob Winter at USB Kemper Rd. Location. He went above and beyond to make sure any questions I had were answered! Bob is very responsive and made sure the closing went smoothly. For anyone looking to start the pre-approval process or just wanting questions answered, Bob Winter is the right choice!

Very difficult to deal with in getting a simple statement. Took over 3 attempts to get ahold of someone that was willing to send me a statement. Now we wait.

Sean B was amazing to work with! As a first time home buyer, he made the process easy and painless for me. Sean was knowledgeable, responsive (replied within 15 min of a call/email), and patient. I connected with him by requesting information on their mortgage services via the website. In addition to the wonderful service I received from Sean, USB had the best rates, closing costs, and were one of the fastest banks for underwriting (I was able to close on my house 5 days early!). If you loved the 80s, you'll love this bank. They have nearly zero technology. Their phone rings with a busy signal. They don't have online account access for the mortgage (or at least not ours) or the ability to make a payment online or over the phone (we had to take a check to the local branch). We actually received an EFT confirmation (which we had to submit via snail mail in writing) with a HANDWRITTEN confirmation on it. The only great experience I've had is than when I told their customer service rep they were 20 years behind, she responded, "oh - we're much farther behind than that." A+ for sense of humor

My mortgage refinance experience with Union Savings Bank was flawless and their senior mortgage Loan officer Brett Leonhardt made me feel as if I were his only customer. The team as US Bank was efficient, friendly and took me though the process without any problems or concerns. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home mortgage.

I worked with Sean Bunevich from Union Savings And I highly reccomend! He always responded to my emails and got back with me in a very timely manner! Exceptional service and a very smooth process. I was worried about doing the entire mortgage process online but I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth everything went from start to finish! If my builder needed something all I had to do was ask and it was taken care of! Very impressed with Sean and Union Savings!

Brett Leonhardt at Union Savings Bank was great to work with on our mortgage and on a possible home refinance of my Mom. He helped explore all our options and recommended one that worked great for us. The whole process was very quick and efficient.

I figured out how they offer such low interest rates...they claim your check for your mortgage payment arrived late. They claim they did not receive a payment mailed from Columbus (OH) to this office for two and a half weeks after I mailed it, and I dropped it off at the post office. Other items I mailed at the same time were half way across the country in 2-3 days. Nothing online that you can log in to see the status of your account either. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS BANK!!!

I recently worked w/ Drake Snyder on our residential mortgage refinance. Excellent response and delivery time from Drake and the entire underwriting, processing, and closing teams. Online application portal is user-friendly and very efficient. "Pre-close" signing of several documents electronically made for a fast and easy closing. Interest rate and costs are very competitive. Would highly recommend!

I'm newly divorced and in my decree I had to have my home refinanced by 12/31 or else the court could place my home up for sale. I spoke with Josh on 10/25, explained my circumstances and he assured me that this would not be an issue. The communication throughout has been horrible and when I do get a response it's some generic answer. I have no idea where I stand with my loan and it's now 12/27. I've left several messages with no return calls. I'm going to now have to pay an attorney to get an extension. This has been a nightmare of a process and I would not recommend!

Alex Tomblin helped us with our recent home purchase and we couldn't be happier. Alex was easy to work with and very accommodating when we needed to make changes to our pre-approval letter. He made it a breeze.

I was rerouted to a loan officer at this location because the one in my area was on sabbatical. This bank has excellent mortgage interest rates. That being said... the loan officer I recieved at this location has terrible communication and would often ignore email and calls.

Beware of preditory practices by this bank. They may offer a loan and request a hard credit check, but they are really just phishing for information. No loan will be offered, and your credit will be scarred by this action by USB.

I misplaced or lost my debit card. Searched for month, but never found.so I asked for a replacement card, corporate refused. Bank is prejudiced against senior citizens .

I was extremely impressed with my mortgage loan processing with Union Savings Bank. The person I worked with was Sean Bunevich. He was absolutely amazing at making sure everything was taken care of, he always answered any questions I had, and was very quick in getting back to me when I left him a message. I never waiting more than an hour on him to respond to a voicemail I left him. I have never worked with anyone who made getting a mortgage loan absolutely painless. I want to thank him and everyone at Union Savings who made this such an easy process. Sean was so easy to work with out of the Cincinnati office! He was probably the most responsive (and quick) person I've worked with in anything. Any time I have to call customer service, they're quick to answer and are very helpful. I was able to refinance with a great rate with very very little out of pocket (which is huge since I didn't have to roll it in to my mortgage either). I had heard Union Savings Bank had the most competitive interest rates around, and some of the lowest closing costs. I needed to refinance my house and wasn't being offered much thru the bank I originally financed the home with, so decided to see what Union had to offer. It was minutes after completing a very informal online application that I was contacted personally via phone. Got the ball rolling immediately, and communication was great throughout the process. Ended up with a great rate and closing costs were minimal compared to everywhere else I had looked. And don't be afraid to see what they can offer, even if you aren't in their immediate service area. I'm at the opposite end of the state and arrangements were made to make things happen. My loan officer Eric and the rest of the team at Union made everything a pleasant experience, I highly recommend them!

My experience with Union Savings Bank was simple, fast, and straightforward. I received pre-approvals from several lenders, but Union Savings made me feel the most comfortable and provided a higher level of customer service than the other lenders. My loan officer (Eric) patiently walked me through all the steps in the process, and was always available to talk. Quick refinance! Very smooth transaction from start to finish. I worked with David R., and I would recommend him. USB did not blast me with e-mails for every little thing. They only e-mailed when something was approved or if they needed information from me. However, don't mistake this for a lack of communication. Once I arrived at the closing, the paperwork was all ready to go and the numbers matched what I was given. I was in and out the door in 15 minutes. I also appreciate that USB will service my mortgage for the life of my loan. As with everything, there are people who submit good reviews and bad reviews. Just keep in mind that usually the negative reviews get posted more than twice as much as the positive ones do. My experience with USB was fantastic!
