I felt like I was in good hands from day one through closing. They made the process easy, affordable, and seemless. Even when our real estate agent made the process feel stressful, our Union Plus Mortgage representative stayed calm and talked me through the challenges, making clear that she was there to support us in making our dream come true, not to pressure us into anything and helping me find the best way forward for us. They also surprised us with a lovely closing gift that was truly unexpected. I'm so happy I found this company through my union.

Not competitive at all, very unclear, uncommunicative for YEARS. A real disappointment for someone who claims to be union-backed. There is absolutely zero incentive as a union member nor are these rate in any way better than or even close to anyone else. Your information will be sold to the highest bidder. If you're union, and they promised you the world and actually made good on it, good for you, doesn't seem to be the actual practice here.

We used Union Plus to refinance our current mortgage. The rates were very competitive and the fees were inline with most other lenders. Communication was very good either via phone or email and we closed promptly without any issues or hiccups. I would use them again for any mortgage needs.

I have heard many stories of stressful, delayed and difficult dealings between mortgage companies, escrow, and realtors. Some are quite close to home. Not ours! We had a great agent and everyone we dealt with was responsive and professional. We closed in exactly 30 days with no hiccups! Initially we went with Union Plus simply because it was our union offering, but it turned out to be a great company and we are very appreciative for the smooth easy experience we had. I have nothing but great things to say about Union Plus Mortgage. They were always available for questions, prompt when anything was required of us or them and got us to closing without a hitch (on our part). Michael Salamon and Meredith Funston were the best. If I could buy another one just to use them I would 😆

Very unhappy with my experience. I’m only giving 2 stars because the agent was responsive but otherwise their practice and procedures are awful. I submitted all necessary documents and was run around a bit on a FHA when I actually was more than qualified for a conventional (which I did get from another company and closed in less than 30 days which met our contract deadline). My guess, this company was pushing FHA since they are paid more on it, and didn’t fully look into all the necessary details of the place I was planning to buy (special fha documents, etc). Therefore when we were pushing through, they last minute required participation in a certain program my condo didn’t participate in. I was told this should have been checked on day one, not weeks later. Either way, the best thing that happened was their mistake and error, then I was able to find a mortgage company that handled it correctly, efficiently and quickly. I do not recommend this company and I’m disappointed my union does. I will be informing them of the experience as well and suggesting they no longer recommend Union Plus.

I cannot say enough good things about Union Plus Mortgage Company. We worked with Mike and Meredith and we were constantly calling them at crazy hours while trying to get our offers in, in this crazy market. They both always got back to me immediately and really took the time to explain any questions or concerns I had. I really appreciate that I never felt pressured or like they were trying to "sell" me. We finally had our 6th offer accepted and when we finally got to our closing, the woman from the title company was shocked by all of the money that Union Plus gave us towards the title and close. She also commented that she had not seen a rate that low in 2 months. If you want a stress free experience, quality communication, awesome rates, and to work with absolute professionals, give these guys a call!

The quality of Union Plus was outstanding. Everyone who worked with me was knowledgeable about the process, and kept me reassured and at ease from start to finish. I would highly recommend this company, and if I ever need mortgage help in the future, they'll be the first place I contact.
