Union Bank Bay Ave, Capitola

Really liked this bank until they screwed me on a refi once I could no longer back out. Suddenly at the last minute - once I had already paid for fees and a home inspection - I had to pay off all my credit cards, car loan etc, something not disclosed until the last moment (and for no apparent reason - just had to liquidate investment accounts to pay). Caused a big tax hit. So... not a bank I trust. Cost me a lot of money to do business with them.

I like this bank doesn't charge me monthly fees but I do wish they had the ability to be more updated and kept up with the current banks, I feel old school with this bank and thinking of switching. But other then that they've taken great care of me. No regrets.

The people are amazing and super friendly but the fact that they are understaffed and you have to make an appointment to set up an account was super offsetting , won’t be banking here as there’s to many options , but still very friendly and super safe bank .

I had a bad experience with this bank. First off, the entry and exit is infuriatingly slow. Then I waited at the front of the line for 5 minutes while the second teller chatted and did normal business without even acknowledging me. I went in to withdraw some cash, however they wouldn’t take my ATM card. I asked if I could use the ATM outside and exchange $20s for $100s and they refused to allow me to do this! I’m a local to Santa Cruz and I say avoid this bank! They treat locals terribly.

I LOVE this bank...... It is unfortunate that there was on bad run in with Katrina, she is our favorite employee. and I can't remember the other young lady's name but she is always soooo helpful when I come in for business banking as wwell as my personal banking. I enjoy this branch. I have been with them over 4 years and have only had 2 problems and the "problem" is no longer there so I am again a asatisfied customer. I love the fact that when I walk in I can actually see and talk to the employees ..... no one hiding behind some crazy glass and acting like they can't hear you. this branch has treated my entire family GREAT!!!

I walked in to set up a transfer, and they refused to help. They told me to use their online banking instead. Honestly kind of despicable they wouldn't help me out. Been banking here for 15 years but I have decided to move my money elsewhere now.

Always friendly fast service they were able to get me an account when everyone else said no will never leave this bank!!!
