Union Bank Higuera St, San Luis Obispo

I ordered some cash to be exchanged for my trip and they told me to come by the office. Went to pick it up and they had sent it to the bank in AT, after making me wait there an hour. They told me to come specifically Monday morning. Went back there again to pick it up and they said they wouldn’t have it until 12… completely unprofessional and amateurish. Terrible service.

The tellers have always been friendly, but after spending nearly 20 minutes on their automated phone service with no option to get a real person to help, I have had enough. They tried to sell multiple services without any way to opt out, the AI interface was ridiculously slow, and in the end they were unable to activate an ATM card! Ridiculous.

Tellers and Bankers are always trying to help customers and account-holders quickly and thoroughly. They are always ready to ask if there is anything else you need help with/if you need cash back. Mathew is a polite and personable teller that is there fairly often. Keep up the good work SLO branch!

The fact that they charge $10 to cash a check is just ridiculous. It used to be $5, even that was bad enuf, then it raised to ten. So basically they're making their customers pay extra to compensate the high fee to cash or we're working an hour for free.

Charged $2 to look at account balance without informing about the charge.

Ten dollars to cash a check that is from their bank, that specific branch on payroll checks that were purchased at that specific branch. They should rename it Pirate's Bank. Never again. It was a one time emergency, otherwise I would have gone to my credit union. I feel like I was robbed. And they have the audacity to ask if I would like to open an account. Uh, no!

Union Bank is the last place you want to try to bank. The "back office" administration is an absolute mess. The banker helping us was a saint as he made four calls to get various answers about what the problem was with the account. One of the bank managers lacks any sense of customer service skills. They let a woman sit in the lobby sobbing about a double transfer that Union Bank admitted was their fault, but no one person wanted to take responsibility to help her. Just don't go there.

Parked here and made a deposit at Union Bank of California. I was back at the bar in 15 minutes and had a note from the branch manager saying I cant park there. Called the manager and she tried to interrogate me to find out if I left the building at all. If you haven't opened an account yet, dont.

They do a great job supporting the local economy. Our Car Club is stoked to bank here. Thank you!
