First time ever stepping in this bank and it will be my LAST!!! I was making a deposit for my sister in another state, I waited in line and approached the cashier (no smile) when I told her what I needed to do, she rudely stated I must go get a money order to deposit, their bank would NOT take cash due to money laundering and excused me from line. Well....good thing my Tennessee State Bank is across street so I can get my money order, I go back to Truist Bank and wait over 1/2 hr to deposit. Seeing this teller not once ever smile at any customers 😕 She is obviously not a people person and this bank should NEVER have her in the front. I will NEVER recommend this bank to anyone! Horrible customer service!

BB&T use to be great. Pretty fast to get in and out of most days but now since the merger all the branches are closed even though listed online open which forces you into the slowest bank branch I have exer experience and plus you are trapped once in line. Horrible bank and we will be taking our money elsewhere. Stay far away from this company they deserve to close shop.

Horrible service alot of location shut down and now this is the only location close by. 1 teller inside and 1 banker and 1 manager. They could not help unless you make an appointment. Ridiculous someone used my bank account and I wanted to dispute the charge but my bank location couldn't help me. As well waited 30 minutes just to deposit a large amount of money. Hire more people for your customers!

We waited in line for over 20 minutes as my girlfriend was needing to open an account. The man in front of us was livid due to the fact of him waiting in line for over an hour after another person told him that’s what he needed to do. He waited in line and was told by the teller to sit in the lobby until someone was available but another lady just told him the opposite. We got up to the front was told to sit in the middle for someone as well. In the mean time since we got there and waited for 20 minutes they only took care of one person. There was one teller at a time one would close and the other would open vice versa instead of both of them being open. My girlfriend went to use the restroom that stated multiple times employees only. If your customers and potential customers can’t even use the restroom after waiting on you guys to do your jobs then what kind of business are you even running? This has to be the worst bank in Sevier County. No one knows what they are doing and instead of waiting on customers you have tellers that go to argue with other tellers instead of fixing the issue as we witnessed. Read these reviews and go elsewhere because you can definitely tell that this bank has went down very fast and lacks customer service.

I have had bbt for a couple years and no issues but ever since this merger it has been a nightmare. They close over four branch and have everyone coming to this branch on Dolly Parton, the tellers are the rudest you ever come across and so was the bank manager it makes you wonder if they are overworked smh. I will be closing my account and so will my sisters and going to smart bank.

The worst ever since the merge . I have banked with BB&T for several years. Always great CSR. Since the merge, horrible. The wait time for me on the phone was over 2 hrs after I received an alert about a mysterious transaction. I responded to the text that it was not me, and they cut off my use of my card. Imagine going through the grocery line with a lot of groceries and your card is declined when you know the funds are there. I appreciate the security alert, however it took over 2 hrs holding on the phone until you could speak to someone, and after all of that drama, I still had to go wait in line to get a temporary card. Secondly, for future reference, The bank should make the effort calling you to give you the choice to cancel the card after you have responded no it wasn’t me to the text.

I have banked with BB&T for 6 years, since Truist has taken over I have had problem after problem after problem. The clerks there are very rude and not helpful at all. One week they'll cash my check, the next they say they can't cash it because "I don't have enough money in my account to cash my check" which makes absolutely no sense. I got tired of the constant issues I was having with Truist and went across the street to SmartBank and it was the best decision I made. Even though I didn't have an account with them just yet they still cashed my check no problem. They had great customer service and were very friendly unlike Truist. I went back that afternoon and opened an account with SmartBank and I recommend to whoever reads this that you do the same!!

Horrible customer service! I hVe been trying to deal with this bank for over six months now. Each person i talk to just passes me off telling me to talk with someone else. I opened an account with this bank and have had nothing but problems! My card doesn’t work, the app won't allow me to transfer money, the only way I can pay bills such as credit cards is to have the credit cards draw from my account. I'm sick of having my money tied up where I can't reach it. Closing my account ASAP!

So fricking slow, waited over 45 minutes in the drive thru only for them to tell me that it was already closed, I know the hours of operation it was 6:10 pm on a Friday, of course it was closed but it was their fault, there were a bunch of cars behind me and the other cars in line, they waited for nothing as well. Not coming back to this location in fact I’m gonna be moving my money to another bank, because this has been one of many other incidents. DO NOT COME TO THIS BANK.!!

Ever since BB&T merged with Sun Trust, the locations here in Sevier County have gotten worse. They closed 2 locations and the main branch here off Dolly Parton Parkway is VERY SLOW. Only 1 teller inside, the guy in front of me said he has been waiting over 20 mins, only 1 person working drive thru (which it is wrapped around the building) and inside I only see 1 other banker in her office. I am really considering changing banks.
