I love this branch. It’s about people, and they are amazing here. Always friendly and professional. This has been true for over 6 years with me at this branch. :)

Absolute worst bank I've ever dealt with. Half the time I didn't even know exactly how much money was in my account with their account overview. Charged return item fees when I had no clue I had less money in my account than it displayed in the app. When I tried to talk to someone they just regurgitated company policies. They do not care about their clients, and it shows through their terrible customer service.

This is typically the worst bank I've ever had to Deal With. They do not know how to correct any problems or Any mistakes. They closed my account even when I called to explain an issue and told me to bank somewhere else. I would never in a million years recommend that anyone elsw bank with bb&t

One of the top branches in SC for a reason. They know personal banking, period.

I have banked at this BB&T branch since 2012. I find all the staff very friendly and informed. I myself was a teller in OH many years ago. I don't know what the other issues were with previous reviews, but I have no problem recommending BB&T and this branch to everyone. As a business owner, I'm treated with respect each and every time I go there.

I also wish I could give zero stars. My parents needed money badly, I have a deposit slip for them because they have a bbt account. They would not take a cash deposit because I was not on their account. They said I could do check or money order. So then, the only deposit slip I had was wrong, and they would have to wait for their money. All they told me was every bank is the same way. I will never have an account with these people. Go credit union...but even those are getting less and less customer service oriented.

In general, the staff at the Chapin branch of BBT tries to be helpful and responsive. My problems with the company have all been more attributable to BBT's corporate policies than to the individuals trying to do a decent job in this branch. It appears as if there is absolutely no decentralization of decision-making from the corporate level, thereby requiring customers to jump through time-consuming and irritating bureaucratic hoops to get anything accomplished. Despite owning a sizeable block of BBT stock, I can't recommend the company from the perspective of a client. The corporation appears to be managed by a bunch of control freaks.
