sunTrust and BB&T merging is the worst thing to happen for us customers. There is no Suntrust location here locally in Beaufort and the only location able to service Suntrust customers is in Bluffton which is 30 to 45 minutes away from here. It is extremely inconvenient that some BB&T locations can service Suntrust customers but others can't. I can only advise that Suntrust and BB and T prioritize merging there technology services faster for customers if they're going to be closing more locations.

From the time that we came on board with BB & T, they have truly been a bank about having security measures in place. A few times it was a bit frustrating at first, but when we realized the value in it and how they were able to assist in a fraud situation, we were grateful that they took the next step in protecting us and our assets. Mark Cutler and the staff are so friendly and genuinely concerned about you as a customer! Kudos to you all! TPT Team!

Ever since we opened our initial accounts back in 2018, Mark Cutler has been our "Go To" Banker. He has pointed us in the right direction when we were just setting up our business. He has been a REAL resourceful component in us getting on our feet. What a "GEM" for BB&T now TRUIST Bank! He's a Keeper!

Mark and the staff at the Beaufort, SC branch are outstanding. Always personable and there to help. We recently moved to the area and they were a huge help getting us setup and welcomed to the area.

They never have enough tellers and the wait to make a deposit or get change is ridiculous. You can see that the tellers are doing the best they can.

Lobby Unavailable Most Days - Lack Appropriate # of Staff to keep lobby open during business hours. I've never experienced a bank that consistently is understaffed to the point they keep the lobby doors locked. System issues abound and have gotten worse since the Truist model announced.

Mark Cutler made refinancing my car loan so easy, and I got a great rate. I absolutely love the mobile banking app, too. I use the app to keep track of my business checking account and to manage my loan payments.

From their business team helping me with the loan to buy my marina, to the bankers guiding me thru the tough times we’ve all faced in the last several months to all the staff greeting me with a smile and a solution to any need I’ve had, BB&T, now Truist is the best bank I’ve ever worked with. They treat me like a partner and a friend.

Well, first it was a long, drawn-out process to prove residency even though I showed them 6 months of receipts from my SC rental Arrangement, but since the address wasn't "printed on an envelope" it didn't suffice. I thought it was bogus and asked to speak to a manager. "Oh, I am the manager." He responded. I have been pleased with their overdraft protection, so far, they haven't been charging me any undue fees with it on, which is nice because I cannot claim to be the most organized person, and do lose track of my posted-balance fairly often. While their 'U app' seems to be pretty well-thought-out, it has still proven almost impossible to change my PIN from the one which they assigned me on a mailer which they sent out four days after I set up the account. Honestly I don't understand why I couldn't have just picked my own PIN when I set up the account? I suppose losing the mailer was my fault.. But unfortunately, to my knowledge there seems to be no way to change a PIN through the 'U app' or through the automated phone system, which has proven Extremely difficult to get through to a representative. So after visiting the branch to have a check deposited, I asked the woman if I could change my PIN, but she must have forgot my request in the process of informing me that I can't even make withdrawals after depositing a check to my account that I don't have enough cash in my account to already cover? (I suppose at BB&T they can't put a check through as cash, so that you can access funds immediately? Common Practice at other banks.) Days later, while at the grocery store parking lot, I realized that in my frustration while at the bank, I had forgotten to remind her (again) to change my PIN, and couldn't access my balance without a PIN b4 hand. I went in blind - not really knowing how much money I had - and was totally embarrassed at checkout when I had to put those few items that I didn't have enough money for back. I guess that's why my mom and grandmother always harass me to keep a check-register but, hey, I'm a millennial and soon it'll all be digital anyway, what's the point? So I had to go back, yet again, to the branch and speak to a different woman. She was friendly enough and did SEEM to set up my new PIN correctly, but apparently it was NOT setup correctly, as here I am, ONCE AGAIN at the branch, trying to use their ATM, and only getting the error message 'invalid pin.' I guess it goes to show: Size isn't everything, and neither are looks. I only wish there was a PNC around here, or a State Street Bank up north where I frequent. Thumbs WAY down; written in complete dissatisfaction outside the Kemmerlin branch, after hours with no money and things to get done. Thanks for nothing BB&T, the cons of the corporate-red-tape that you yourselves don't even seem to understand far outweigh the benefits of your overdraft-protection, which seems to be your only redeeming quality. See you soon, CHRIS

Branch is great and everyone is friendly and helpful! Just wish that BB&T had another location here.
