I Have Been visiting the Vault Aka (Parkway Pawn ) for a many of years and have always enjoyed having great conversation with John which I have known for over 20 years, also talking to Jamie and getting information about products has been a great experience.

Jamie was very very resourceful, from fire arms,to video game systems, to luxury watches. I purchased a beautiful Rolex from Jamie. He made my watch buying experience amazing and plasent. A few months ago I went in there and saw a shotgun that I was interested in purchasing. After a little negotiation the gentleman and I came to agreement on the price. Once I pulled out my drivers license I explained that my current address wasn’t the address on my license and that I had documentation from the DMV both on the website and on my person that showed my current address. The gentleman informed me that I needed to put the address that was on my license on the federal 4473 form and that I shouldn’t worry about it because it wasn’t a big deal. I explained to him that I couldn’t do that because it wasn’t my current address and I wasn’t about to perjure myself on a federal form. He told me that if I wasn’t willing to put the address that was on my license on the form that he wasn’t willing to go through with the transaction. While I’m all in favor of an employee who isn’t comfortable with a transaction not doing that transaction I don’t think you should be telling your customers that they need to lie on a federal form just because you weren’t adequately trained. As someone who has spent several years of their life selling firearms in several different stores in Virginia I’m very familiar with the rules and regulations surrounding firearm sales through federal firearm licensed dealers. The gentleman I dealt with was walking with a cane and I got the impression that he was a manager of some sort I don’t recall his name though. Otherwise they have a very neat shop and I would have very much liked to do business with them. Oh well. Maybe next time.
