The State Bank- this is an AWFUL way to handle customers and “upgrade” your system… I am SOOO FRUSTRATED!! First- I couldn’t view my accounts all weekend without warning and couldn’t reach a State Bank soul. Since this morning I’ve been told 3 different stories by 3 different people. The last phone rep I spoke with said I had to come sign a document in a branch in order to view my accounts online again. I battled the icy roads to get here and there’s nothing I need to sign?! And! I still have to wait for an email to show up so I can view my business account at all… like WHAT?!?! Who does things like this? Your ATMs typically don’t work and in 20 years as a customer all of my loans have been run through other banks !

We have sent letters to our customer's at home, sent a variety of emails and been posting for over a month in our lobbies, on our website and on social media about the conversion and date. It's one thing when a restaurant closes early because they are slow. Usually it's younger people with no business sense or much responsibility, just trying to squeeze out early. Despite the fact that there are people that depend on them to maintain their posted hours. People wanting to pick up dinner on their way home, etc.. But when a bank closes early, that's a whole new level of shoddy. Posted hours, literally on a sign in the counter. A clock on the wall that shows that they should still be open, and are they? No. It was 6:45 on a Friday. Friday hours,....who cares-7pm. Or whenever, apparently.
We did have one day that due to staffing issues and Covid, we were unable to stay open at this particular office until 7 pm. We do have the convenience of the live teller machine right in that lobby that was open and available to assist you until 7 pm. It is never our first choice to close a location early or at all, but unfortunately, Covid and the safety of our staff and our customers sometimes makes that the only viable option. If you haven't yet used the live teller machines, please stop by and try it out. A member of our in-branch staff would be happy to show you how easy they are to use.

I have 2 of my mortgages with them and they don’t do Bank to bank transfers to pay the mortgage payment. They need to get updated so I can use bill pay from another bank.

Website says they open at 7am. This is only the electronic machine, no actual humans. Wasted my time.

Do not and I repeat do not work for this place. They treat people of color and disable people with no respect and will fire you as quick as you started. Underwriter Cheryl is one of the worst ones she deny almost every loan that comes across her desk. She makes the job there even worst

Credit approval is highly regulated and the Bank follows their written credit policy and risk ratings in all credit decisions. this update was supposed to be done days ago and i can’t get into my account. to avoid frustration, don’t change everybody’s bank account passwords for no reason. seems like common sense to me. i was stuck at a gas station on monday morning with no gas in freezing weather and my bank card wouldn’t work!! (after the banking was supposed to be back up) super upsetting and inconvenient
