The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami Reviews
S
Always a pleasure going there for the weekend. Decided to go Sunday to get a massage with my wife. Omar was always great as usual. My wife's massage was not that good but she said the massage therapist was very friendly and nice. It's almost like a hit and miss with the massage therapists. Some are great and some are average. For the money you're paying for the service you would figure they all should be good. But I must say that they are all friendly, kind and respectful. The spa attendants are always great!!! We also had lunch at the Dune's beach bar. We were seated by Sammy who was very nice. We waited about 15 minutes to be attended too and no one came. I went to Sammy and mentioned to him that no one has come to serve us, The server who came to us saw us originally but never came to us when we were there. Food was great and the service was good after the fact. Doesn't change my perspective on the Ritz. Will always go there for a nice little getaway. Everyone there is always great. Look forward to going again soon

It was our first time staying here and had some expectations that were by no means extra-ordinary. What we expected was a nice room, friendly service, great amenities, some perks, but all we got was a king size room no larger or better than any other standard hotel, and absolutely nothing else! Service was horrible - housekeeping and food service staff were nice but no one else was helpful or friendly, there are much nicer beaches in Miami to stay at, the restaurants were not appealing. Two things that stood out during our stay- 1. They offered us drinks on arrival so hubby asked for a pepsi and they wouldn’t give him one, said they couldn’t do that? Don’t offer someone a drink then refused to give it to them… very rude and unprofessional. 2. When we got to our room, saw the bathroom was dirty so called front desk to request cleaning just for the bathroom. I had to request twice and no one came until an hour and half later! We couldn’t use the bathroom or freshen up when we got there. This hotel is not worth the price or the time, there are better resorts and hotels to have a relaxing, fun stay at, with much more to offer.
T
Good location and amenities, but starting to show its age. Several areas around the hotel need fresh coats of paint and some walls have several dings. Not sure the price tag per night is worth the current state of the hotel. Also the elevators that lead to the basement were not working for all 4 of the days of my stay. The family pool was fantastic tho.
N
Everyone from the front desk/lobby area was great! The pool attendant male was awesome! The pool bar employees were horrible, they ignored us and never said a warm hello or welcome, the guy that was giving tequila tasting seemed nice and explained the history to the family infront of us and when it was our turn he did not say a word, he was so rude. We wanted to do Kayaking on the beach and the male employees were rude and said it was too early for them (9AM) and that they were not prepared so they just gave us a waiver and put the stuff out on the beach, they did not explain or guide as at all, completely unprofessional.
D
How can you argue with the Ritz!! Superb location. The quiet of Key Biscayne... several restaurants, on and off the beach. Many kid friendly... as the sun sets, drinking a margarita with my beautiful wife... Heaven!
D
Very nice resort/hotel. Good view of ocean from room. Beach less than 1 minute walk. Best if you plan to stay on Key Biscayne. Miami airport and Miami beach were both about 25 minute uber ride (~$55).
W
It's the Ritz Carlton. Rob at the Burger Place was excellent. Food was very good, the service was even better. It is a little pricey but not bad for first class service. We will be back many more times!
A
Great service! Customer service representative Evelyn is the best! The rooms are beautiful and the restaurants on property is amazing! The property is gorgeous. A must-stay if you visit Miami!
J
Loved this hotel!!! Spa was incredible shoutout to Brianna from the spa for being so helpful and spectacular. Overall the staff was amazing. Breakfast buffet was perfect. The views the resort and the bed!!!!! Loved everything about this stay!
C
What a joke. Avoid this place like Covid, because they don’t care about their guests. We tried to call and cancel our reservation because we have Covid. They do not care. Said they aren’t issuing refunds and we can come if we like. How insanely irresponsible. Sadly I will never visit another Ritz. Hope you go bankrupt and the sea swallows this place.
M
The word "ritz" is defined as luxury & glamour. The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne most certainly offers both, & the location is superb. More importantly, I'd like to express my gratitude to EVERYONE on staff! All of your hard work, attention to detail & generous hospitality is very, very much appreciated.🙏
P
Ritz carlton Key biscayne is a beautiful sprawling property. We were at their Dune restaurant. Yes it's overpriced for a Sandpit bar. The appetizer menu was very limited. Of all the kinds of Hummus they offered only a Carrot flavor. How about Edammame & Wasabi.? It got very windy so went inside the main lobby lounge and ordered coffee & expresso. Both arrived stone cold. Which promptly had to be sent.back. waiters need to ask guests how they like their coffee temperature. Ritz should improve this.
R
Very nice hotel on water . Good rooms , excellent staff and great views . Will always suggest for a family stay .
C
The experience was beyond excellent .i really love the services, the staff and Their customer service was top tier. I had breakfast at the buffet- was freshly made and all The staff was amazing. A special shout out for Babas and Lawrence that went above and beyond to Make my stay excellent. I will definitely visit again.
M
From the moment we checked in we received wonderful service. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Upon entering our room we were welcomed with a complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The staff was fantastic. Mark the Concierge took care of all our dinner and transportation needs. All went 100% smooth. The bartenders at Dune were great, a shout out to Josh and Matt. Thank you. Alex and Anthony a the Rumbar were also very attentive. Our room was very clean with amazing views of the ocean. Thank you Ritz for making our 30th wedding anniversary very memorable.
B
From the moment we arrived we fell in love with this property. This is a truly un-biased review, that said I have nothing bad to say. The entire hotel is perfectly maintained, in pristine condition. Rooms are maintained meticulously, food and beverage is what you would expect from the Ritz (AMAZING breakfast – omelet chef is a master of his craft!). Pool is as if you are in the Islands, beach quiet and clean. Plenty of food and drink options. Gym is brand new, well equipped, clean, and state-of-the-art. Last and most important, the people. I presume the headline for their hiring ad is ‘must be of the kindest in the world, otherwise need not apply’. The people at this property are genuinely the reason our stay was so exceptional, we appreciate how much they care and how hard they work. As our trip came to an end, or at least we thought, our flight to New York City was cancelled. This was after we got to the airport and boarded the plane of course! Once I realized we were not going anywhere for a couple of days due to the flooding in NYC I called the hotel direct. Astrid answered the call, she reinstated and extended our original reservation to cut-out the paperwork and put us in the room we were previously in. We jumped in an Uber and were quickly back in the state of relaxation and comfort we were in seven hours earlier. When I thanked Astrid and told her how much positive influence she had on what could have been a very bad experience, she simply said “I understand how that can be and I wanted to help”. Leave it up to the Ritz to actually make you feel happy that your flight was cancelled!
M
My wife and I come here almost every year for a quick get away. This place is heaven. The staff are fantastic, the rooms are beautiful and the view are spectacular. One of the best parts about this Ritz is the adult pool where we spend most of our time. Keep in mind this is the perfect hotel if you want a quiet relaxing day with the ability to go to South Beach at night just 30 minutes away. Its truly an oasis!
R
Uncontrollable kids belonging to other guest ruined the overall guest experience. I appreciate the fact that Key Biscayne Ritz is a family friendly resort, however; it should exemplify Ritz relaxation for all guest. The spa was phenomenal. I had a fantastic pedicure and manicure. Resort Staff, bellmen, valet and concierge staff members were extremely excellent! Live Latin music in lobby lounge was truly outstanding and a wonderful aha. Food and Beverage staff members were engaging ( only experienced expresso and pastries from resort market, I ate meals off property). It was very challenging for the lobby lounge and beverage staff to deal with the will the out of control children of other guest. Overall fantastic resort. If other guest kids can’t be on good behavior and are permitted to be disruptive and annoying ( as I experienced) I will consider choosing a different resort in the future.
M
I only use Marriott properties for business and pleasure. My Husband and I were on a romantic getaway without the kids. We did go with a few other couples. We all checked in separately. The rest of the group had supreme service, We did not. From the moment of check- in, we were never offered bubbles nor the wrist bands for entry to the pools. Our friends pointed out we should have received them. We did after the desk was gently reminded. We requested a suite night reward to be used before arrival. There was none available, which i know it is based on availability, we are ok with that. They did offer an upgraded room with a late checkout. Our "upgraded" room was less than stellar. The room was musty with numerous stains on the carpet. Somehow we ended up in a connecting room with a family of what sounded like 15 people, 14 of them under the age of 12. The bathroom had what looked like short curly hairs on the sink, in the soap dish and in the shower. I do not think these were hairs from your head. The phone in the bathroom was hanging off the wall. Looked like a party in our room before we arrived. The next day I called the front desk for something and was told we have to leave the room by noon because it was reserved for another guest. We requested late checkout the night before and was told that was fine. One of the perks of being a platinum member is 4pm check out. They should have never "upgraded" us if they could not accommodate the late checkout. I made it clear that was pretty important to us.
M
We stayed there May 21-24 and Daniel (valet)exceeded our expectations! He tried helping us park our massive rental car on multiple occasions!
J
The hotel is awesome, pricey, but awesome. Great facilities and the personal attention to detail (they always remember you) is stellar. But the star of the show for the duration of my trip has been the chef behind the Omelette bar during breakfast at Lightkeepers. His chef’s specials are amazing - the scampi and New Yorkers being the two I sampled, neither of which disappointed. Stop to chat with him, he loves discussing his techniques.
G
Absolutely a fabulous stay! The amenities were first-class, the views breath-taking, the food was outstanding, but what was absolutely the most pleasant and amazing part of our 6 day stay was the SERVICE AND POLITENESS AND HELPFULNESS of your entire STAFF! They were the BEST we have ever experienced in all our years of traveling. I would definitely like to go back one day!
M
We stayed in a lovely room. Unfortunately several amenities were not working (tv, scale, coffee machine, bathroom light, etc). Housekeeping did not come one day and our calls for service were put on an endless hold. Food trays and glasses were left for days in the halls. If we needed something, we had to go to front desk. I tried to purchase something in the spa and there was no one working the front desk. I went back the next day and there was a mile long line. One of 3 restaurants (our favorite) was closed during the week. Sadly, this is no the quality standard you should receive at the ritz, especially for the price tag.
R
Worth it! All that you would expect from a high-end resort. Great pools (“kids” and “adult”), spray ground for kids, attentive and happy staff, and good food at the restaurants. The beach is nice, although there was a healthy amount of seaweed, which was a bit of a downer. Our beach in Boca is much nicer.
D
From the moment we arrived at the Ritz-Carleton Key Biscayne, we were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. Our reservation was made through the Amex Travel website and as such, we received a room upgrade. The hotel is beautiful both inside and out. The property is immaculate. The pools and beach are very nice. The restaurants and bar are comfortable and well staffed and the food is high quality.
M
I grew up in South Florida, and spent much time on Key Biscayne. Thought a four day weekend getaway in one of my favorite places in July would be the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary and relax by the pool in a post-Covid environment. We had booked our room through the Amex Fine Hotels program. While expensive, it promotes a room upgrade, breakfast for two, resort credit, late check out, and early check in. I'm also a fan of the Ritz Carlton club lounge, so paid extra for access. When we arrived, we were told that there was no upgrade available, but told to come back later to see if anything were to become available. We went to our room. It was average. And not clean - ketchup stains were on one of the nightstands. In addition, there was speckled water stains on everything metal in the room. It appeared that the carpet had been recently cleaned, and someone forgot to wipe off the water spatter, which had now stained the the furniture. It wasn't horrible, but I began to question what I'd paid for. We walked around the resort. I wasn't happy and went to the front desk to complain. I was told that a room had become available, but would not be available until the next day as they were cleaning its carpet. I explained some of the problems with our room, and she said she would take care of it. While we did have to stay in the smaller room for the first night, the bed was comfortable. The next day, we were moved to a one bedroom suite with a partial-ocean view. We were happy. It was a lovely room and what we originally expected. Grateful, we began our relaxing getaway. Breakfasts were nice. The beach was beautiful, but very natural, as one would expect on a key. It's not like South Beach or other beaches with pristine sand or huge beach. It's filled with seaweed, and other detritus. The adult pool was perfect for us as well. There were four individuals, who I wish to acknowledge who made our visit exceptional. Astrid at the front desk, who found an acceptable room for us. Rebecca who was our breakfast server. She knew our names, gave us some ideas of what to do in Miami. Mike in the club lounge, whom I had met before at the South Beach Ritz Carlton. And Alex who served us dinner on Saturday night when my parents came for a visit. Ritz Carlton is always nice, but these four individuals made our stay. Was a great, getaway vacation in a popular resort.
J
Rooms are very outdated. Paying $600 a night I was expecting something way better. Not coming here again. Worst Ritz-Carlton I have ever stayed.
L
The property is beautiful overall. The drive to the entrance of the hotel is lush green. The landscape and all its decorations are beautifully arranged and maintained. The hotel lobby and all its facilities are decorated nicely and properly situated for convenient. The pools and ground, and the view of the ocean are excellent This is one of the prettiest Ritz Carlton I have ever experienced
J
This is a nice serene vacation stay. even visitors with families are very respectful. the staff was very attentive to our needs. one of the ladies showers was not working and the hot tub in the men’s spa was not working. other than that we will definitely visit again even though the omelette maker appeared irritated at times. rest of the staff more than made up for it. We had access to the club which was great providing breakfast lunch dinner and evening snacks however we did not know we were being charged 100$ a day in gratituties. Eating in the restaurant they automatically at 18% tip whether you want to or not
K
Don’t understand the other reviews who were really down on the service and the hotel in general. There was an abundance of staff. Each one was pleasant and helpful. Everyone was very nice. Food was excellent even at the pool. Hotel was clean and compact. Beach was great too. Again, not sure where the negative reviews are coming from but we enjoyed our stay.
G
This Hotel has a beautiful location. The place is a little dated but the beach makes up for that. The food in the restaurants are terrible, I mean Taco Bell taste better than their Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately most of the staff are impersonal, not attentive and seem bothered when you request service. All restaurants have a mandatory tip so you the staff have no motivation to serve. We booked 2 suites for 4 days for myself and 2 children spending $6000. It really wasn't worth it. Better to take a cruise. Beach service was appalling, the staff chased my family off the 4 recliners we were on saying they were booked and for people at the hotel, only when I showed our keycard did they reluctantly give us recliners. We waited more than an hour for them to put the towel covers and towel pillars on them. Their was maintenance of the second lift on our wing for 3 days so waiting to go down to the lobby was crazy. They were also renovating during the day so the sound disturbed any break you wanted to take in the room. Their is no sense of resort there. It feels like no better than a cheap motel. Really management, this is a gem location. Please train you staff to exhibit some enthusiasm and hospitality. Also how about having some live entertainment outside in the evenings. Like put a portable stage over part of the fountains in the rear courtyard and have cultural music and dance. Let you customers feel like they are on vacation. Heart breaking to see one of the best locations with the greatest potential just become a huge disappointment and a definite never return location.
W
From the moment I arrived at nearly 2 am due to flight delays the valet and front desk welcomed me with a smile and made me feel at ease and at home. Once I entered my hotel room I was welcomed to the comfort of an amazing bed and spotless room. The pool was amazing and relaxing as well as wonderful food from the Cantina restaurant with great service from the employees there. Our experience was a 10+ and I will be visiting again.
K
Great place to enjoy with you loves! 🌹🥰🌹💕💐👍! all services are excellent and polite and discreet 👍
J
My mother got over charged and she has blood pressure problems and they caused my mother to get upset and there excuse was totally wrong and never did they state any of the lame excuses they said why she was over charged at the time Of check in not only did you over charged her but you ruined my birthday celebration which as a ritz Carlton returned guest of many years I will not be returning anymore
D
Good place to stay on vacation, the pool is so good, the service +plus 1, the gym: I loved this place only wanted training, and he beach, so energizing, I will be back.
J
My husband and I wanted a quick getaway with golf and ocean views. The Crandon is a nice course nearby and the view from our balcony was beautiful! The beach bar was fun with good views too! We also rented bikes on property and rode out to the point for a local flavor dinner at the Harbor at the State park. The only bummer was the seaweed on the beach. We enjoy swimming in the ocean but opted not to this time. It was too murky and lots of seaweed this time of year. All in all a great getaway! We will be back!
T
The hotel has wonderful rooms for the family. Location is very pleasant. Accessible beach and pool facilities. Food is wonderful and tasty. Pantry hours could be increased. Cleaning services could be better. Front desk, lobby, concierge, was great. More restaurant staff would be appreciated.
K
Key Biscayne is worth the trip over the bay to reach the more family friendly beaches. The Ritz is clean and very comfortable. I don't have small children (have a teen) but seems very child friendly. Nice that SUPs and kayaks, umbrella and chairs are included in the extra $40 day charge. We stayed for 3 nights and ate every meal at the different restaurants onsite. Food was very "fair" or slightly below average. Fish tacos, key lime cheese cake both very bland. Ravioli of the day very flavorful but in a soup of oil. Breakfast buffet was tasty, (great omelets, lox, oatmeal with all the fixings) but if it were not included in the stay I would say over priced for sure. The wait staff every single time were so slow to respond &check on us-- water glasses often left empty, had to flag people down for refills (I eventually just asked for a carafe every time we sat down) slow to take our orders, once forgot my appetizer all together. I had to leave twice before signing the ill (they knew my room number ahead of time) only because I didn't want wait any longer for them to bring me the bill. I would literally stand up by the table and wait and no one came. The front desk staff, bellmen, pool attendants (towels, chair set up) and maid service however were excellent.
A
The staff at this hotel are very accommodating and greet us with a warm welcome as if we're home. Also, the hotel itself is relaxing and has complete necessities. Our experience at this hotel was superb, and we enjoyed our stay! You guys are the best! I will definitely come back soon for my next trip.
K
My wife and I stayed for 3 days in early May. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Pools are nice and everything seemed to be well maintained. We felt like the Ritz standards here were just not what we normally experience. The staff were nice and polite but they seemed a bit distracted. Service was spotty and slow. The food choices are EXTREMELY limited especially early in the week. We had chairs that were falling apart on patio and asked to be replaced. They never were so we couldn’t enjoy the late evenings out there when back to room. My wife and I felt since the place was not very busy that people would be asking questions or seeing how things were. Very seldom. Overall it was nice but will probably pick another place to go next vacation.
E
Don’t miss this property!! The location, property and grounds are stunning. It’s peaceful … great for couples (they have a sep pool that’s adults only) or families. We stay in Marriott properties 60 nights a year.. now that we have a child at the Univ of Miami.. this will be our new home away from home.
L
Service is excellent at all times of day & every interaction. We loved Jay at Light Keepers Bar - super knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, & kept delicious drinks flowing.
R
Pros Phenomenal staff Outdoor grounds well kept Delicious food and drinks Cons Inside of hotel is dated. Way, way, way overpriced. One mixed drink will cost you $18-22 and that's not top shelf. A salad is $15 and if you want chicken or shrimp, an EXTRA $12. A $27 salad... Ridiculous. Everything shuts down by 9 or 10pm. My husband and I were enjoying a beautiful night by the water fountains with wine and went to get a second round before 10 and were turned away. Absurd. People on vacation may want to stay up past 11. We vacation every year and never, ever had this experience. Restaurants are closed on random days. It's weird. Honestly, if it weren't for the outrageous prices, the restaurants/bars shutting down completely on certain days, and the entire resort shutting down by 10pm at the latest, this place would have a 5 star review from me despite the outdated interior.
S
We had the pleasure of staying here October 28-November 1 for a large Indian wedding and the service was phenomenal from every point. There were points when we weren’t sure if it was the ritz staff or vendors, but when it was the ritz staff, especially Caroline, Tiffany, and Jay, everything was perfect. A flexible team in a gorgeous facility making sure every moment and situation of your stay at this 7 star resort is top tier.
F
We recently spent 5 nights at the hotel and are totally dissatisfied with the service at the hotel. We have been staying at the hotel since the opening and were accustomed to excellent rooms and overall fine cuisine the experience this year was not near our previous stays the place is way understaffed the breakfasts were not pleasant we would request an outdoor available table and they would try to keep us indoor the only service needed was water and coffee and it was a challenge to get a server since we would opted for the Buffett the one time my husband was scolded by a server when he tried to get an English muffin she told him that was only for guests sitting at tables there was an air of disregard from the pool area to get towels in the lounges this is no longer a 7 rating hotel just a 5
v
Key Biscayne offers a respite from the action of Miami with all of it close by. For young families especially, this is a resort that is much more family friendly and secluded from the hype of the city. Nice pools and rooms. Amazing breakfast buffet. Beautiful beach . Amazing sunrises.
J
My sister and I were really looking forward to an indulgent trip after a year of not travelling and we decided to treat ourselves to the Ritz, anticipating amazing, pampered service, upscale room decor, beautiful setting and fully relaxing beach location. Unfortunately upon check in we were told the beach would be mostly closed during our trip due to expansion (but we could be shuttled every hour to a public beach but last return shuttle at 4pm -- awfully early for a beach day), rooms would only be cleaned every other day and the room decor, IMO was basic. This combined with limited pool chairs (cause people "claim and save" chairs yet don't use them), restaurant and bars seemed a little unprepared to handle the volume of guests, had to remind them to replace coffee capsules a few times ... it all did not add up to either the 1. very high cost of the room or 2. the Ritz brand reputation for exceptional service. If there was advanced transparency around the main issues of beach closure and room cleaning my expectation and experience would like have been very different.
S
This spot is a magical place for a family. Beach, splash pad and amazing family pool all in close proximity made this the most relaxing stay ever. The hotel is beautiful and the Ritz team went above and beyond to take the best care of us! We loved everything about this trip and can’t wait to go back!
K
We have stayed at the Ritz Carlton on numerous occasions; many times setting the bar high. My husband and I took a vacation for the first time in a year since the pandemic to celebrate our birthdays. We were very excited, and were anticipating nothing short of spectacular booking our stay with the Ritz Carlton. First let me start with the pros. Most of the staff were friendly, inviting, and attentive. We loved the atmosphere and beaches of Key Biscayne; far from the typical scene from South Beach Miami. Rooms were updated, and the house car service was nice because Uber/Lyft rides were impossible to find. Cons: We did have a few staff members seem overwhelmed and statements short. Pool serive was slow and not adequately staffed for the # of guests. Upon arrival we wanted to extended our stay by a day, but were told by the front desk there were no rooms available. No problem, we found a room online and booked through a 3rd party. We asked ahead of time if we could avoid room changes by either staying in our current room or moving to our other room ahead of time to avoid packing/unpacking and spending the majority of our last day waiting for a room. We were not accommodated, despite the current pandemic restrictions of not being able to be at full capacity (maybe we don't understand the current pandemic operations, but we didn't feel like it was too much to ask). So we packed, checked out, and waited for our new room to be available...which wasn't ready until promptly at 4pm. Hallways looked like they haven't been vacuumed in a week. The phones in our initial room never worked, even though we asked for them to be serviced everyday....no one came. We called the front desk numerous times from our cell phones, and no one answered. The last day we called (from our cell phones) in attempt to get our phones fixed again; they stated they would send someone up right away. We waited soo long for someone to come, we went to bed....which resulted in someone coming in, waking us up, flipping on the light switch, and then leaving after they noticed we were asleep. So for the first e days, if we need to contact front desk, house keeping, room service, we had to call the resort directly from our phones. We asked for turn down service every night while we were at dinner, and it only happened once. My husband is a business owner and always thought highly of the RC business model of "ladies and gentlemen, serving ladies and gentlemen." "My pleasure" was only heard a few ti
J
Such an easy trip for those up north to enjoy a weekend getaway! About 25 minutes outside Miami this resort felt like its own little Caribbean island. The Covid protocols were appropriate and the resort felt clean and safe. It was a good mix of family areas and quiet adult only areas. We enjoyed outside yoga classes each morning and walks on the beach, as the beach area was perfect in early February. Restaurants were fabulous and service was outstanding. I felt that the resort was properly staffed and we rarely had to wait. You really don’t even have to leave the resort. But if you do there’s a walkable grocery stores and restaurants/shopping just outside the resort. We went down for a long weekend and are already planning to come back, next time staying longer. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I read some reviews before coming down with people complaining that the resort was outdated and needed a face lift. However it was like an old money luxury beach cottage that was very cute, clean, and beachy. I personally didn’t think it needed a facelift but instead appreciated it’s charm and great service. I recommend using Uber or Lift. Taxi rides to/from the airport should be $45. Our ride from the airport to the resort, was a hustler in the taxi lane and ripped us off charged us $95 so watch out for that.
L
Rooms were clean, nice decor(not to beachy) and surprisingly roomy. The property was a dream, clean, nicely laid out and right on Key Biscayne beach. The Ritz Spa did not dissapoint! Pili(my therapist) was calm and willing to accommodate my changing needs(I previously booked a sea salt scrub with massage but burned my back the day before) she listened to me and immediately suggested a CBD Massage, she had perfect pressure and was a dream! The beach was exceptional here very clean and kept up daily. Only draw back was the food/restaurant or lack of choices was a lil scant, but we are still trying to get over a pandemic. Key Biscayne had enough choice within walking distance that it didn't effect it. Let's talk location, near enough to Miami but without the "Scene" infringing on your relax time and if you want some of the "Miami Scene" it's only a 7 to 8 mile drive! Jus a couple draw backs that didn't effect our stay per say but will add up your costs, daily resort fees have gone up and no free valet/overnight parking even if you're staying at The Ritz. Another item NO FREE INTERNET IN THE ROOMS! Only free internet in the common areas and it was a lil sketchy, I'll not deduct from my rating because this Ritz was divine but c'mon, in a busy always connected world they're basicly keeping you hostage and keep making you leave the property for simple luxuries that have become a must to some. I was recently to the Ritz Naples(before pandemic) and I had free WiFi in room there.
H
Very nice hotel, but not very impressed. Too much seaweed on the beach. Unable to use the beach our entire stay. Pool was nice, but the poolside menu could use an upgrade. When it rained, I was unable to get a cocktail unless I went outside until the inside restaurant opened. Unable to get your own ice, had to call room service every time. Buffet for breakfast should change some of the menu selections. Staying for 5 days the same food got a bit boring.
U
I’ve been coming to the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne since my Daughters were babies. We’ve stay multiple times a year and have so many wonderful memories I can’t even count them all. Although the Hotel is dealing with the effects of COVID-19...short on staff and protocols in place I was very impressed and felt safe as always. I watched the Hotel Manager and front desk manager cleaning up by the pool every night I was there. That was so impressive to me. They’re short on staff and went the extra mile with pride. No other property on Earth competes with this spectacular Hotel.
B
Great place and location- Loved our room and view Multiple issues- assistance never received after multiple requests for help with Concierge and amongst other things. Room was very clean. Breakfast buffet very unappealing and cold food. Not very fresh. Pool set up folks not the most welcoming and willing to set you up-
I
The location is amazing, a hidden treasure 20’ off Miami. The hotel is superb, the service first class and the rooms are lovely. Be prepared to pay a premium for everything, though, from your iced coffee, to your cocktail by the pool, dinner and even Tylenol (!) which we had to get for our little one.

We truly felt like a Lady and a Gentleman being served by Ladies and Gentlemen. Out stay here was virtually flawless. As beautiful as the property and the views are, the people are what make this place great. Caroline met us up front, she had the doors open and greeted us by name. She made sure we got checked in promptly, provided us with a welcome drink, and then took the time to make sure we knew how the property was laid out and where everything was. Throughout our stay she was our go to for anything, and she came through 100% of the time. She makes The Ritz special. Gino, possibly the best bar tender ever, was out at the Dune bar. His attention to detail on each drink, he big personality, his showmanship, and his obvious care about each guest was beyond impressive. Between Gino and Josh the Dune bar delivered a great experience every time. These guys make the Ritz special. Paola from housekeeping was in contact with us before we arrived. He took the time to find out why we were coming, and helped to make our anniversary special. Paola makes the Ritz special. Frank and Yaniel at the Cantina bar, Alex at the Rum Bar, the valet’s, the housekeeping team, the pool team, the beach team… Everyone worked together to make this a truly remarkable experience. Thank you to the Ritz team, we look forward to coming back and staying here again.
G
The hotel was fine. It seems like they are still getting used to business coming back to normal which is understandable. Still, a Ritz is supposed to be the top of the line, and right now I am not sure you get all that you pay for here. Other than a friendly staff and good drinks there was no real benefit to staying in the club level. The presentations were very limited, and the breakfast got very old by the 3rd time seeing the same eggs etc.
B
We came here for a wedding and the customer service was atrocious. Between not guiding us where to go to get to the wedding, to not letting us know that drinks were covered by the wedding, so we ended up paying out of pocket. And then charging us for valet when it was supposed to be free to the wedding party. They're just constantly looking for ways to go money out of you. Do better to service your guests that are attending a wedding the couple paid a ton of money to host.
B
We stayed for 5 nights at this hotel with access to the Club Lounge. The breakfast offerings were the same every day and they did not have an omelet station. We stayed at other Ritz locations with Club Lounge access and their offerings were much better with quite a bit of variety. The Club Lounge and pool staff were accommodating and courteous. Their lunches (primarily salads and sandwiches) were okay and their hor d'oeuvres and dessert offerings were excellent.
K
Food quality has gone way down. Not sure why but many old favorites seem to be essentially tasteless. Guacamole which used to be prepared table side at the cantina now being served already prepared, very good but smaller portions. We've stopped going to light keepers since our last few entrees were basically flavorless. Service was good but not great.
L
Loved this location. Views were spectacular. Pools were inviting and service was outstanding. Rooms could use some new furniture but overall hotel was clean and staff were friendly and went out of there way to make our stay worth the price.
a
We go every Saturday night to dance or listen live salsa...it's terrific! The service is wonderful (shout out to the servers and the Rum Bar Team), the surroundings are beautiful, the ambiance is chill and relaxing. Highly recommend!
S
My wife and I ha d a fantastic stay at the hotel. We were there for 4 nights. The hotel was very nice, clean, and well kept. The staff onsite was exceptional! We had two business meetings onsite and that food and facility were fantastic for our events. We will definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we are in Miami.
D
Overall a pleasant stay, breakfast was good, pool was relaxing, room was clean and gym facility faced the ocean which was nice. We had a maintenance issue however that was never fully resolved and it was difficult to get a hold of the front desk at times. Give yourself extra time going to places if traveling by taxi or car share as wait times can vary.
M
Nice! Clean! People at the desk were friendly! Disappointed at the cost of everything in comparison to location and amenities included in cost. This was my first time staying at Ritz Carlton at I must say it was average. Rooms weren’t any larger than a regular hotel room. You have to pay for meals, parking, and internet. It was kind of a waste for me and was a bit disappointed. Staff was friendly!
C
Enjoyable stay at the Ritz on Key Biscayne.. This was my second stay at this facility for business meetings, that include conference room use and meal services. The food service is excellent, and the staff are welcoming, warm and helpful. The grounds are lush and well maintained and my only wish is that I would have time to relax by the pool!
A
Our stay was filled with problems. We were put in an accessible room without agreeing to one, which meant no soaking tub and no shower and a tiny vanity. The biggest issue was that our A/C didn't work for 3 days and couldn't be fixed and we weren't moved until day 4. Miserable. Service was spotty at best if you could get someone to answer the phone. And then there is major construction on the beach right now that really impacts the enjoyment of the beach. It's a lovely location and the facilities are fine, but I wouldn't recommend without some service improvements.
N
Was a nice place for my wife and our young kids ages 2 and 3. Some minor suggestions - for the breakfast buffet the prices for kids should be explicit. It should be clear that, for example, under 5 is free, 5-12 is discount etc. It really was terrible starting our day with some waiters charging our kids and some not. It should be clear and border on the generous. All in all the hotel does a good job of balancing covid and leisure. Not sure they were prepared for the overflow crowds but that will hopefully change.
H
I’ve stayed at the Ritz-Carlton in Miami Beach but this location blows it away. This particular location is true luxury and the fact that is located in Key Biscayne makes that even more evident. This location was calm and relaxing while the Miami Beach location was hectic. Staff were great as were the valet, I would definitely stay again.
J
Seriously overpriced is the understatement of the year. When you arrive you immediately feel like you are in a gangster scene from an 80’s movie. Everything from the front door to the back is exceptionally outdated. I have had nicer rooms comped at the Indian casinos in Oklahoma, there is absolutely no way the Ritz name should in any form be attached to this property. The icing on the proverbial cake is they charge for WiFi and $45 a day to park. There is absolutely no way on gods little blue planet I would ever stay here again unless it was less than $100 a night because that is the price point this ancient property should be valued.
L
Hello, I went to this hotel with someone who has never stayed at a Ritz property before. I told them how amazing the ones I have stayed at were. Everything was great except for the cleanliness of the bathroom. There was stuff on the molding of the bathroom door and on the door itself. It could have been cleaned better. :(
M
Everyone at The Ritz was fabulous! Gloria, Deigo, Madeline and Grant were always helpful and accommodating at the pool! I didn’t want to leave! Food was amazing and they gave me a bottle of champagne on my birthday! Loved everything about my week there!
K
Great location, but room was outdated and had to beg for room to be cleaned after no first two days. Had to chase down cart to get new towels and coffee. The room had a pretty view of the Biscayne bay, but a bit outdated only a couple of night stand drawers to unpack into. I lived out of suitcase and gave them to my companion. Food very good, particularly dinner at Lighthouse and lunch at Dune. Beach excellent, adult pool good for couples but crowded and only one small hot tub for entire property. Overall, good but dated.
A
Not happy with the room accommodations for 380,000 points and the miscommunication on an upgrade made this stay very upsetting for the family. Covid is definitely impacting the service staff as food service around the pool area is slow. For and beverage service while seated at the bar was great. The upgraded room had some electrical issues with the fan and some lights not working as well.
B
Unfortunately, the service was not what I am accustomed to when staying at a Ritz Hotel. The room I reserved was not the room provided. Although the front desk acknowledged the mistake, the concession they offered was free breakfast, which I was already receiving through Amex. Nothing else was offered as a concession. No one was available on the phone before or during our stay; the phone would ring and ring. My bill was wrong by a few hundred dollars at check out. All in all, a disappointing experience. The hotel is beautiful and the location is nice but I will choose somewhere else to stay for this kind of money.
C
I went here for my birthday and it was very fun! The hotel decorated our room with balloons and a banner and it was very pretty the restaurant also gave us a cake and sang a song. It was so good! I loved my stay I recommend this hotel and they are awesome with birthday services.
P
Wonderful staff (though not nearly enough of them, e.g. only one person working in only coffee shop on property, constantly mobbed. Challenge throughout stay). Main issue for sure is constant beach construction. They only told us when we checked in - so tacky. Said it would only be for 2 days. Lasted for the entire week. Nonstop. I’ll try to post amazing pics and videos. Pretty unbelievable. Literally have enormous loud earth moving equipment constantly working on the beach, just 50 ft from main pool so no way to escape, and feet away from kids playing on the beach!? I guess they promised similar timeline to everyone, so instead of keeping the beach closed, they opened it back up and just had people on the beach anyway. No idea how they got a permit for that!?
c
We made a reservation at the restaurant for the New Year's Eve meal and it was the worst meal of my life. The salad was good the seafood was fresh and OK, the bread was inedible, cold, and looked old. The beefsteak and the lamb ribs (my favorite dish) looked alive cause of how raw it was, it seemed like the steak and the lamb had been brought directly from the butcher shop to us, (nobody asked us what we wanted those 2 dishes temperature-wise). The fish was of good quality but it was too dry and the taste wasn't so good. The red wine they served us was excellent, the Gnocchi and asparagus were great, the cauliflower, lamb, and steak, we did not touch them. The products they used looked very good but terrible preparation and presentation (the presentation was vulgar). The live music ended before 10:30 pm and the bottle of champagne was brought to us from 11 pm, they opened it and served it. I believe they did this procedure too early since the time wasn't even close to midnight. I have spent several New Year Eves in restaurants the same as yours and we always take the last shift for dinner, because the end of the year is always celebrated inside the restaurant and the champagne bottles are opened right at midnight... On January 1, we went to breakfast which has always been something that I have enjoyed a lot at the Ritz-Carlton but this time it was terrible. I love sautéed potatoes however these were so pale they looked raw. In conclusion, I never complain about a restaurant, If I don't like the food I leave it and tell them that I was full, I give them their tip, and I leave (I hardly ever come back again). I don't know if they sold the hotel and another company bought it, or if the employees were tired, I do not believe it was the pandemic that caused this, because I saw that there were fewer clients than before. The point is that the Ritz-Carlton that I went to was not the one I remembered. EVERYTHING WAS VERY EXPENSIVE AND VERY LOW QUALITY I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ANYONE.
E
The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne is a gem! Beautiful property, the staff were extremely kind. The food is scrumptious! The beach was beautiful and loved that we could bike and walk to restaurants! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
G
Accommodations were great, wait staff was friendly, staffing sizes were not fully maxed given full occupancy of Presidents Day Weekend. On saturday evening there was once bartender serving approximately 30-40 patrons in the bar and lobby areas. Pool wait service did take some time, pool food and service attendants were excellent. Rates were extremely high, but given the Miami area demand, I get it.
K
Staying at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami was enjoyable. We used all the amenities including the beach chairs, restaurants, spa and adult pool. Lawerence, front desk personnel, accommodated us to the best of his ability each time we had a request. Thank you to him and the rest of the staff for a warm experience in Miami.
S
Two days in a row my sons room was not cleaned. My safe was not working in my room. Maintenance came up to fix it assured me it was fixed. When I came back from the pool it was not fixed had to wait for another maintenance man to come up and fix it told me it was fixed it wasn’t eventually I had to move rooms. Call the front desk and the conciergeseveral times nobody ever answered the phone.
E
A disappointing stay overall. I think many of the issues we experienced were due to the staffing shortage. Long lines at the restaurant, long waits once seated; harried service. No turn down service; jacuzzi and main pool had no heat; trash in the hallways; indifferent service in some cases. If you're going to pay Ritz prices, you expect a Ritz level of service. This was not the case. But, I understand the difficulty of trying to provide the usually superior experience while woefully understaffed.
T
We had a fantastic experience staying at the Ritz Key Biscayne. It felt like a tropical getaway right in our backyard. We were upgraded upon arrival which was nice, the view was fantastic. The rooms could use minor updating but all in a a good beach hotel with a pleasant environment. And definitely try the spa!!
G
Arrived very late/early morning, very tired but the overnight staff and manager where great! Easy and quick check in. The lobby was very spacious and clean. Elevator kept stopping at each floor on the way to my floor (odd) but room is amazing. View from the balcony is equally amazing. Here for a conference but I could see hanging out here for a relaxing weekend.
K
I stayed at this property President's Day weekend and loved it! If I ever return to Florida it will be for the Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne. The property is located in a good location but secluded just enough from the craziness of Miami. The private beach, a pool dedicated to kids, and a pool for the adults makes it family friendly, but also for adults to enjoy peace and quiet. The spa services were great and I would like to give recognition to: Abel, Carolina, Moraima, and Maria. The lady Madelyn and man Jay that checked me in did an amazing job explaining all that the property has to offer. The gentleman, Mormukut who served me room service twice was super good and I know will do great as he moves up in positions within the hotel. The bellmen Stefan and George got my bags quickly when I was picking them up. Please give everyone that I mentioned my regards they made my stay amazing. 100% recommend!
J
We've stayed at i think 8 Ritz's over the past two decades, and this one blows compared to the rest. Super snooty staff and extra small rooms and bathrooms. Hardly worth $600 a night with dirty carpets and fudge-stained furniture (I'm hoping it was fudge). I strongly recommend folks avoid this place if you're hoping for the true Ritz experience.
T
I was really looking forward to staying at this property because it’s a Ritz Carlton. The entrance off Crandon was all Ritz Carlton, the front of the hotel and lobby were Ritz Carlton. Then I got to my room. I was extremely disappointed with the room, especially for over a $1,000 per night. The rooms are nothing more than a Hampton Inn at best. Fortunately for me this was a company paid for trip otherwise I would be demanding about a $800 credit per night for the room. Ritz Carlton has to be better than this. Save your money and stay at a lower end hotel, the rooms are not worth more than $200 per night.
B
What a lovely stay. Champagne at check-in and complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking at the beachfront. Matthew at the Dune bar was great! The sunset views from the room were wild. Hope to be back.
A
Fabulous service and amenities. Tennis center was great and the restaurants and bars were great. The room was quite small. If you're a bit on the larger side, getting around the bathroom might be a challenge...
M
This is and always be one of my favorite hotels. I live in Miami and this is my staycation choice. Great Service, great rooms and amenities and location. The spa is the best as well. Every year it just keeps getting better.
V
The Ritz Carlton is amazing, I asked my family to take me back here for my 30th and the person who made sure my birthday experience had everything I wanted and more was Alexander. I had a wish to have a drink in my hand at all times and he delivered above and beyond my wish!!!! He made sure that I had a glass of Prosecco readily in hand and steadily topped off. I wouldn’t have had the amazing celebration that I did without him! If you’re seeing this Alexander, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I wish you all the blessings and please know that your kindness and attentiveness to me and my family will always be remembered and we will be coming back, you’ve made a loyal Ritzer out of me!
K
Great Property and Service However My Bill Was A Mess! I was Overcharged for many things, over $800 worth. I had to track down billing and go over the bill, even then it was a pain! I was emailing back and forth with a Kevin in billing, then BAM! No Answer! I had to then track him down and demand additional refunds! Great Poperty And Great Service, but BILLING is a MESS!
m
I work in Conferences and Meeting event, Destination management. Very friendly helpful staff, very attentive. Proactive services. I have stayed as Travel staff in resort as well as DMC staff. Rooms are so comfortable. Very good beds, cozy and comfortable. Room service is fabulous. Convention/Conference services dept at RCKB is excellent, diligent and easy to talk to about last minute changes. Geo is awesome in his new position in Meeting and Conferences services. For major event transportation movements, Valet and ramp supervisors, are helpful. Professional service, help you with access to placement of vehicles for event tranfer. Kind, welcoming and loyal staff employees! I can go on and on!! 1 of my favorite resort for work and pleasure. Marlene Johnson
R
We went there for dinner, and it was an awesome time of having a great meal by the beach! The buildings and grounds were incredible.
D
Wonderful Staff from valet to housekeeping, always with a smile and extremely helpful. Extremely professional & accommodating. Grounds are very well kept, room spotless, especially during covid They did a great job keeping everyone safe. Shops & restaurants awesome service. Breakfast servers always there to keep you happy with coffee ☕. So pleasant. Thank you for a great stay.
C
We were surprised when reading some bad reviews-this hotel is beautiful, well maintained and the people who work there are kind, and attentive. The food was delicious every where we ate on site and off. The room was a good size, bathrooms larger than most and the bed was extremely comfortable. Having a balcony with partial ocean view was a nice bonus as well. The grounds were immaculate as were the pools and beach. Perfect get away to unwind and feel pampered! Highly recommend.
R
Our family was verbally assaulted by another guest. That guest said that she had “privilege” at the hotel and that our kids were not allowed in a common space (which was untrue). She physically tried to separate us from our 6 y/o child. The staff did nothing to stop this and continued to protect this “privileged” guest. We felt discriminated against because we had children.
J
We are going to miss it here! We were supposed to leave two days ago but decided to extend another day, then again another day. My favorite aspects of this property were (everything) the fitness center (state-of-the-art and brand new), the people (amazingly wonderful), and the pool (breathtakingly beautiful). The hotel is located directly on the beach. Great dining and entertainment, many options. Valet service was speedy. Breakfast was absolutely divine. Room was elegantly appointed, always meticulously clean, furnishings in perfect condition. Infinite view of the ocean. Overall, I give this property five stars for no other reason than they deserve every one of them. I wish I could name all the staff one by one to point out how wonderful of an experience we had because of them, but I did not gather their names. I would like to mention how helpful and courteous Lawrence was during our entire stay. Anything we needed assistance with, he was always ready and willing to help. Family of 4, children ages 10 and 7.
M
Leave it up to the Ritz Carlton to make our wedding anniversary an unforgettable one. This is truly an exceptional hotel. The property is beautiful, the suites are spacious and comfortable. The staff is extremely gracious and helpful. Everything from the spa to the restaurants are outstanding. This beachfront hotel should be on your bucket list for sure.
T
We enjoyed every minute at this property. Loved our suite. The staff and service was terrific, which is very hard to find these days. All the food we experienced was terrific. All in all a most positive and enjoyable stay at this property. Key Biscayne is very lovely, quiet, laid back south Florida option, with all the excitement of Miami Beach a short ride away. Quick ride to and from Miami International.
B
We stayed 5 nights (Sat - Thur). Overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing vacation as we hoped for, with a few unexpected snafus. Weekends are nicely planned out for guests to enjoy a special stay, while week nights were uneventful and awkwardly unorganized for a hotel of this reputation. Pros: - grounds are beautiful and well maintained - adult pool area which was relatively quiet - truly amazing staff (honestly the best part of the stay were all the employees who are running around making a lot of picky people happy, and doing so with a smile on their face. we had great chats with them at breakfast and during our stay at the beach) Cons - over priced (from drinks, to food, to needing to rent your own bikes, to no airport shuttles) - not a very thoughtful experience (we traveled for a birthday and anniversary and there wasn't a whole lot of thought put into the stay, where historically, hotels of similar reputation have always made our stay special by customizing the room a bit with flowers, balloons and treats) - inconsistent invoicing (questionable, actually - many billing errors on food, room service etc. we had to keep checking what we were being billed for due to numerous errors) - "complimentary photo session" is not complimentary. This is one of the biggest marketing shams I've seem thus far. Packages start at $600 and go up to close to $2k. Ended up being a nice session, with wonderful outcomes, but you can't help but feel like you're being duped. Please do not call it "complimentary" and let your guests know it's anything but that - food options are very limited - shuttle drivers was insanely snarky - seemed like he was doing us a favor to get a ride - definitely outdated room (our AC broke and leaked water all over our carpet. the issue was remedied pretty quickly and we were upgraded to a suite, which was nice, but it indicated that some units may require some tune ups) - our beach was the only one that was not cleaned daily from all the seaweed. the tractor avoided our beach altogether for days so we sat around rotting sea grass all day - even though the hotel was below 50% capacity, there was way too much noise coming in to our room. The room next to us had the TV blasting, and they were yelling over the TV noise, with their balcony room doors open. When we contacted front desk, it took over half an hour to get the noise addressed. Made very little sense to us that while the hotel was half empty, we'd have this issue.
K
We made a great memory at this property. We really enjoyed the time we stay there and the amazing offer for lounge club access for marriott member. I do appreciate to the Asian woman at the front desk for sharing a great offer which we would have regretted if I didnt take that offer.
B
Everything about our stay was fantastic, the room, service and brunch. Rebecca our server at Light Keepers was especially wonderful- going out of her way to accommodate us. Will definitely come back!
D
Went here for lunch while visiting Key Biscayne. Nice hotel and grounds but unimpressed by beach and restaurant. We went to Lighthouse restaurant and then looked at a poolside burger place also a Mexican tex mex on grounds. Very average and scenery unimpressive. Asked desk for recommendations to another restaurant.
P
We were welcomed by Newly Joanus at the front desk as soon as we arrived. She was amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. When I told her that we finally had an overnight baby sitter she immediately went to the back to notify her manager and ask her what they could do for us. That’s when her manager “Nagima Yedressova” came out to speak to us. She was wonderful and went above and beyond for us. We could not be happier!!! We will definitely be back to this resort any chance we get. I truly love this location! It’s beautiful, romantic and the staff is outstanding. I Like to thank Nagima and Newly once again for the “Royal Treatment”. Thank you sooo muchhh!!!!
L
Our stay was to celebrate a birthday with family. Our party included my husband’s ten year old granddaughter; her first stay at a Ritz. The staff was wonderful with efforts to celebrate his birthday, we enjoyed the days and felt safe during the stay. The club staff went above and beyond to assist with our younger traveler’s food requests. Trina was notably kind and sent a little gift and a note to our girl that made her trip even more memorable. She said that she missed the staff and the resort before we even reached our next stop in the Florida Keys. The people at this property are outstanding and we do plan to return. Thank you for a perfect stay!
K
Amazing. Every little detail in the experience was perfect. From the exceptional service of ALL of the staff ( maids, masseuse, front desk, chauffeur, craft table, bartenders), to the spa experience and wonderful distinct smell of the hotel. It was a truly luxurious vacation that lived up to the RC brand. We will be back. My only disappointment was that the Ritz Kidz club was closed.
C
Beautiful location, Miami but the quietness and relaxation of Key Biscayne. Amazing staff, big shoutout to Axell Mayor, the supervisor/manager for the restaurants, he is excellent, top notch hospitality.
K
We just spent a week at this property and it was truly amazing. We came here with our 4 children and everyone had the best trip. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed on the club level for this vacation, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The food was amazing and the lounge area very clean and welcoming. The best part of the club lounge was the amazing staff. Everyone was lovely, but we cannot say enough about Mike, Lisa, and Bianca. Our children are truly sad to leave them and keep talking about how much they will miss them. Highly recommend this resort and spending time on the club level with Mike, Lisa, and Bianca!
B
From the moment we opened our car door the great service began! we have stayed at this resort 6 years ago for July 4th weekend and were so glad to be back! hoped for an upgrade with AMEX Fine Hotels and Resort booking but didn't get one--still had a beautiful room with oceanfront view! great pool service/ great service at the restaurant each day! Ate all of our meals there but one over the 4 days. we will be back with our family !
C
Went with another family of 4 so we were a total of 8. Food at all restaurants were delicious. We really enjoyed breakfast at Lightkeepers. Only negative was Dune was not open during the week. We really enjoyed the burger there. Pool staff are great and very attentive to your needs. Concierge recommended a few off site restaurants and they were excellent. We also got a great recommendation on a snorkel trip in Key Largo. Abit of a drive but worth it. Will definitley be back to this Property.
G
It was a great pleasure staying at this hotel. All the staff is friendly, the quality of the foods and drinks is outstanding and the ambiance is one of a kind. Our 10 year old twins really enjoyed the daily kids activities. Yaniel and Frank at the Cantina are amazing bartenders, always making amazing drinks and making sure all guest have what they need to have a good time. Lisa at the lounge was always a pleasure to talk to, she goes above and beyond to assist and even offered to call places around the area for us to have activities with our family. It is impressive to see how all staff doesn't settle for just good customer service, they aim for outstanding and unforgettable service. Would recommend this hotel to all friends and family and will be coming back soon!
K
Disney world and the Zoo I have stayed at over 30 Ritz Hotels and am Amabasdoe member (100 nights a year) and this hotel is full of screaming kids I’m the pools, restaurants and running around barking dogs can be heard by the spa. If you want a relaxing vacation this is not it. Companed to management and they just shrug their shoulders Not worth $1300 a night Go elsewhere
D
Our new favorite resort! We were at the Ritz in May 2021 and it was an incredible experience. There were two pools, one for families and one for adults only. They supplied bottles of sunblock and aloe Vera for guests to use at each pool which I think was a great touch. The pool staff was helpful and attentive with helping us find chairs and cleaning up dirty towels. It does get crowded early to sit near the adult pool. The food was great and definitely up to Ritz Carlton standards. The staff was great too- especially Anthony at the Rumb Bar who kept us entertained. We used the gym everyday in the early morning. They had great equipment snd yoga classes. The weather was a bit rainy and humid- but it didn’t stop our fun! Great resort! Would absolutely come back again!
v
Amazing hotel, Fab service, island atmosphere, great lush greenery, and a great pool. Don't miss it! We come often!
J
We had an amazing stay at the Key Biscayne Ritz Carlton. Wish it could have been longer! We had a room block for guests attending our wedding ceremony and reception at The Rusty Pelican. Everyone in our party loved the service as well as the amenities and property. Additionally, The Ritz staff went above and beyond to make our wedding stay special. From arrival, to our wedding night, and our last day there, the staff delivered exceptional customer service. Most in our party were extended a late checkout. A BIG thank you to the staff at the Key Biscayne Ritz Carlton!
D
We stayed here for our 12 Year wedding anniversary and it was wonderful! The moment we walked into the room, we saw rose petals on the bed, a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate dipped strawberries. Such wonderful service! Love the pool and poolside service. We loved the property and will definitely come back.
m
We had just come from staying at the Naples Ritz Carlton, which was beautiful, with wonderful staff, service and restaurants. So we arrived to Key Biscayne with high expectations, but the room was small, dirty, dated and musty. We paid for the club level which was $1200 a night, for nothing special, some extra chips and cheap wine. They only have two restaurants on property, one is closed Mondays & Tuesdays, the other is outside so if it rains on Monday or Tuesday you’re out of luck. It was raining when we arrived, but the outdoor place decided to move inside to borrow the closed space. The food was greasy, my fish sandwich very undercooked & overpriced. The service was AWFUL. We decided it was a sign when then a server dumped a full tray with dishes all around me and shattered shards of plates hit me. We left for Miami, and are NOW so happy in a big, clean, modern room, at the W on Collins for HALF the price. .
L
My husband and I had the most relaxing vacation (after being couped up for over a year due to Covid)! We cannot say enough great things about the hotel staff...so welcoming every day with every staff member you came in contact with. Room exceptionally clean and comfortable. The resort is absolutely luxurious. Separate adult pool area on opposite side of family pool area. Fabulous lounge chairs and attentive staff. Food exceptional, which most buffets are not. Drinks were fabulous with generous pours, not like other hotels, where you wanted to go out and purchase bottles to keep in your room. Beach staff and amenities were outstanding, and we spent most of our time there. Attentive staff and bar/dining service on beach. All in all one, if not the, best resort we have stayed at. Thank you, Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne!
B
We had a wonderful stay for my son's spring break. I was a little concerned based on recent reviews, however we did not experience anything negative during our stay. Friendly staff, greeted at the doors, help with bags, room cleaned every day, good food and pool service. We had an executive suite oceanfront. Comfy bed, nice furniture and kitchenette. There are some adjustments due to covid, including no breakfast room service during the week. Because we like to get a late start during our vacations and have breakfast in our room, most mornings, we just had the house car (no charge to run you around Key Biscayne restaurants, etc) take us to the local grocery store and we purchased breakfast items. The resort is very busy (to be expected this time of year), but we always felt safe and areas were clean. Beachfront is narrow and unless you get up early, you may not be able to get a beach chair. It seemed to be the same at the kid pool. By the time we got out the door, afternoon activities, we had no issues getting pool chairs at the Adult pool. The beach never seemed to open up. We also rented a cabana for the one day we stayed all day on property so we didn't have to worry about rushing out to get a chair. Shout out to Dustin, Geo and the spa - for making our stay exceptional! Grounds are simply stunning. We can't wait to come back again.

We wanted a family friendly resort experience with excellent service, easy beach access, pool, and restaurants. We had our 1 year old with us, so this was all crucial to a successful and enjoyable stay. Our dining experiences left much to be desired. Dirty tables and chairs, poor service, and mediocre food. We ate at the Mexican restaurant twice and they messed up our orders each time. Again, dirty and slow. When we found out that was the only option for lunch or dinner we were dismayed. Then there was the construction on the beach. Dump trucks hauling sand, driving between the beach chairs and the water virtually every minute, rendering the beach unusable. Our room was dirty and dated. Service all around was not up to anyone’s standards, never mind for a 5 star resort. I spoke with other guests who were equally disappointed. This was not a Ritz-Carlton experience. Alas, I asked to be relocated to a location which would serve our needs, have better dining options, be family friendly, and more up to date. Austin recommended South Beach Ritz. Hm… Ok. If you say so. Again, expectations not met. Dirty room and filthy windows. Only partial ocean view, we booked ocean view. Mediocre food and service, and once again dirty tables and chairs. Scratch that, bad service. Had to beg for water at the restaurant every morning. Later in the week I realized I needed to adjust my expectations if I were to relax and enjoy myself at all. Should a guest of the Ritz-Carlton have to adjust their expectations if they are as follows: Amenities available and accessible Clean rooms and windows Clean restaurants Exceptional service Exceptional food

We simply had a blast. Our oceanfront room was an absolute delight with beautiful views and super comfortable accommodations. The entire staff on the property was attentive and helpful. The club level was so worth it, they even went out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Mike in the club level especially made Us feel appreciated as guests.

The service and amenities at this hotel did not impress, forget the 1K per night price. On three separate occasions I asked for something straightforward to be sent to my room and nothing ever showed up. The first was a yoga mat so I excused it thinking maybe they don't have any. The second was nespresso pods because the ones in the room were all decaf. Never showed up. I asked for them the next day - again, never showed up. The hotel was conducting a beach restoration project which is great but to do it on a Thursday and Friday of spring break week with no notice upon booking? Huge, loud dump trucks up and down the beach that I could hear from my room. Never mind that we couldn't use the beach those days. The chairs by the pool were packed in so tightly, it was not peaceful or relaxing. The food at the restaurants was fine but service was inconsistent. Not that I blame the service staff because the place was jam packed and so busy. The room itself was nice, no complaints there.

First time staying at a Ritz for us ( 2 adults 2 children). The service is really good and the food is great. However for $1700 a night they HAVE to update the rooms. There was mold under the air conditioner on the baseboards, the patio furniture is in rough shape, the sleeper sofa is un-sleepable (it’s just springs in your back...seriously the ground would be better). The beach does have a lot of sea weed. Overall experience was good but I think I’m going to try four seasons next go.

"This is Thomas Kennedy he is not allowed on property" Wholesale banning someone because they asked a politician a question is a cowardly decision by management. If you have a problem with someone's conversations - like specific things that actually impede day-to-day business - come up with clear rules & guidance. Otherwise this shutting down serious civic engagement (asking politicians questions) is a big middle finger to the ideals behind freedom of speech and a marketplace of ideas.
K
It was a great hotel experience. The beach was amazing. The only complaint is the minibar was quite exorbitant for what you get. The staff was lovely and the room was amazing.
S
The service we received was second to none, by far the best we've ever received. We were there for our honeymoon and wouldn't have changed a thing. It can be good for couples like ourselves, or even families, as there are lots of families around and a great kids pool. My husband and I took advantage of the beach umbrella + chairs and the Adult pool. If you're considering it, pull the trigger!

Ritz-Carlton key Biscayne is a very beautiful hotel in key Biscayne island near Miami. Beautiful property right on the beach. Good facilities at the hotel. Early checkin snd late checkout was an added benefit. Has a private beach with kayaks, boats and boards available for guests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a relaxed vacation.

My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary with our very close friends on a couples weekend at your resort. I will begin with how absolutely beautiful the property is. I felt that it was very well kept and tastefully done. We were told that the beach had recently been redone so it was very nice as well. The sand was very soft and clean of sea grass. The attendant was great we got our chairs but because we got there late morning they had run out of umbrellas. No problem he went and got brand new umbrellas put together and brought them out to us. We got an oceanfront room and we were very happy with it. It was beautiful, clean, quiet and comfortable. We ate at all three restaurants and loved the food at each. You can’t go wrong with any of the choices. Ask for Yani at both Dune burger and Lightkeepers! We also got massages and facials and the staff was very attentive and sweet. I definitely recommend treating yourself to a massage with Monica. So as much as we loved our time there I also have to admit that we are vacationing during a Pandemic so the service was not as good as it could have been. I really feel that each person who attended to us was trying very hard but there is no doubt that they are understaffed for busy weekends like the one we spent there. If you are like us, we were grateful to get to spend time away and because if that we were also patient with the circumstance. Enjoy your trip, I still recommend it.

I have been coming to the same hotel for at least 5 yr and this time was definitely completely different than the others. Not the facility, but the front desk staff and manager. I asked for an early check and upon my arrival (on a Wednesday) at the hotel around 10 am, I asked the valet to hold my car until I could have an answer about it. The front staff attendant (young lady) without an ID badge said that the room was cleaning and could be ready soon.I would receive a phone call. After 1 hr waiting with a toddler, I went to ask again, and the answer was the same. Then, after 1hr 15min I offered to pay an extra for another room and she said that the room would be ready in 10 minutes. I was finally able to check in after almost 1hr 30min and I was never offered an apology for the waiting time, a bottle of water, ... Later in the day, I went to speak with the manager that equally didn't have an ID badge, didn't introduce himself and just made excuses for the staff saying that the check in time was 4pm. I am aware of it, and that is why I asked before giving my car keys to the valet. In my previous year, my daughter was 6 months old, we had a front staff that offered us a bottle of water for the long trip with a child and when we got to the room, to my surprise there was a little Ritz Carlton's kids bag for my daughter. This time, we didn't even have any information on where the kids activities listed at the entrance were happening. As I mentioned to the manager, this attitude, lack of insight and poor hospitality is something that certainly is not expected in a Ritz Carlton Hotel. I am not sure if this is because of the pandemic that the staff quality changed, but it made a difference. At the time that I was complaining, there was another guest in front of me with complaints as well. This to me is completely not expected for this type and renowned hotel.

This hotel is very nice. Pros) 1) great location- this is more of a family spot that single dude (south beach vide) which is perfect for me. 2) great amenities pools, beach, restaurants, spa overall it’s a great spot 3) room size - very nice big room not sure if all are the same 4) Biscayne is cool the park is close and the it’s laid back with easy access to the city Cons) 1) automatic 18% gratuity on food- so the $4.50 chocolate croissant is close to $7.00 2) parking is pricey $45 per night that’s a little insane 3) the resort fee says there’s a complementary photo shoot but it’s just the photo sitting and they up charge 700-1500 per photo session 4) check out time they tried to check me out a 9:00 with out letting me know. Not 11:00am 9:00am total bull!! Overall I really liked it
M
Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne rarely disappoints. I thought the service was better than ever this time. Every staff member went above and beyond with friendly , helpful service. Price is a little high for same room i have been staying in for 10 years but worth it for a weekend.
L
Our shower flooded while my daughter was taking a shower due to a latex object being stuck in the drain (a latex object that is not appropriate for children), housekeeping did not clean the room at all the entire visit we were there, the food was sub-par. The staff were extremely kind and the pool was nice. Overall, I expected more from a 5 star hotel.
E
We had a nice time but was not to the quality standards of a Ritz Carlton. We've stayed in other Ritz Carltons before and this property was sub-par. The front desk staff were very nice. No upgrades were available for our gold elite status (which is disappointing when you spend resources building up to that status) and our view was horrible with a garage outside our window. We did receive a $200 resort credit for that. The room was old and rundown. Stains on the carpet and walls. Beds were not amazing. Spa was closed on our second day for construction. Beach staff was very rude. Didnt try to accommodate and put our chairs where we asked him only until I asked him his name. Horrible experience. Room cleaning didn't organize our stuff just made the beds and that's all. Again, we had a nice time, but was subpar for what we would normally expect from a Ritz Carlton. 5 star for a holiday Inn. 3 star for a Ritz.
C
This was the worst (nice) hotel I have ever been to. The service was absolutely terrible. I had 2 rooms on my reservation. The one room had cigar butts and water bottles on the patio as well as dark hair all around the sink. I called 3 times to have someone clean the room and no one came. I finally tracked down someone and she didnt speak english and just removed the cigar and water but no cleaning. The other room was 85 degrees. I called every day to fix the AC but it never got below 74 in the room, even with drapes closed all day. When i got to my room i tried calling bell stand 5 times and front desk. No one would answer my calls. I finally went to lobby to get my bags. I had room service second night and left tray in hall. No one removed the tray for 5 days. When they cleaned our rooms on second day they didn’t show up until 6:30 pm. I left one room on the 4th day to go home while my wife and daughter were staying in the second room for another 3 nights. I spoke to front desk when I arrived to make sure they knew which room and what was going on. I then spoke to front desk the day I was leaving and again my wife spoke to them at lunch time. They cancelled out her room and i got a call that my new room was open! So my wife had to go back and tell them and get a new card for her current room. She asked front desk 3 times to clean the room because it was second day of no cleaning. She got back at 10pm and room had never been cleaned!! No towels, nothing. This was the worst money I have ever spent!

We had a wonderful stay at the KB RC. We will return. However, a few things could be improved: hours for the one small store/cafe are ridiculously limited, beach chairs (not pool) are extremely uncomfortable - to the point of being painful after a few hours, some areas are not well staffed leading to long waits. We also had a few issues with how our room was cleaned - just things that were forgotten, it was very clean. The room itself was awesome.
A
Amazing experience, hotel pays attention to detail and provides a relaxing atmosphere with its well thought out spaces and small seating areas created throughout the hotel We enjoyed the heated pool, and choice of pools as well as the private beach. Although I wished we'd have taken water with us to the beach because once there the attendant who set up our lounge chairs disappeared. The restaurant breakfast menu was satisfying and the atmosphere relaxing, we had a leisurely breakfast and weren't rushed. The room was comfortable, the pillows were perfect, and very soft. It was nicely laid out and the view was magnificent of the beach from the balcony. I will be reaching out to the management to find out where I can purchase the pillows which were in the room. The location provided plenty to do and while close to everything allowed one to feel like they really were on an island away from it all. The room service and the housekeeping was five stars. The only downside was the bicycles, the previous Ritz at Santa Barbara provided those as part of the resort package and they were stored in a shop on site. The bicycles here you had to rent by downloading an App, it was confusing and the bikes weren't maintained. The seats couldn't be easily adjusted and what was supposed to be a 1 hr ride became a 2 because of issues with the seats. They wouldn't stay in place, constantly had to be adjusted ,and therefore made peddling difficult. Not to mention I couldn't get my seat straight. That experience was truly awful, I even scraped my leg on the bike and still have a deep scratch because of some broken plastic on the bike. Other than the bike debacle everything went very well and we would definitely recommend this hotel and its location to others.

Overall we are happy with our week. The resort was unable to upgrade us on our first night, but graciously allowed us to move to a very nice room the second night. Kudos to Austin for helping with that. The only issue we had with our room was that the refrigerator did not work. We called a few times to have this addressed and eventually gave up. OPEN THE ICE MACHINES!!!!! There is no way they’re closed because of COVID. Just like Everywhere else on the property, mask and socially distance. My husband and I are medical professionals and there is no logic to this decision. When requesting ice from staff the wait time is a little too much. Of course, having no fridge we depended on that. Staffing was extremely short on weekend, not enough people to accommodate reasonable needs. This resort did a great job overall and we would definitely come back. Gino was excellent....keep him around. Maybe have him educate the bartenders at the light?! (can’t remember the name of the bar up by resort).

From the minute I walked in to the minute we left, the staff was beyond incredible! We had last minute travel changes due to flight cancellations which led to early check ins and late check outs, things I never ask for, were met with genuine concern and empathy. The resort itself is beautiful and immaculate. I was here for a ladies trip before my upcoming wedding and it was the perfect example of relaxation. Although there were plans to eat at some of the top restaurants in Miami proper, we ended up just staying and dining at the resort. Mr. Angel, at Lightkeepers, was a big reason why. He had impeccable fine dining service without making things seem stuffy. He was personable, and beyond accommodating for my dietary needs. The second night we dined, we didn’t have a reservation bc of our last minute decision to stay. He still welcomed us by name, remembered our drinks and when a side a French fries weren’t ordered he brought a platter on him. This man is the true definition of hospitality. Now let me tell you about the hotel bar! Alex... I don’t know how I can express how at home he made us feel. From the first night when I ordered a cocktail, even though he has worked at this very rum forward cocktail bar for 15 yrs, he did not shy away for asking what was in the cocktail. That is the sign of a true professional in the days of google. He continually would impress making selections and saying hello by name while we were wondering around the resort. Not only that, on our last night he was wonderful enough to share a cocktail that he was working on vs my indecision of what I thought I wanted. His cocktail was everything I didn’t know that I wanted. I am now following him on Instagram, even though both of us are new to it. As someone who appreciates true hospitality, this has been one of my very best experiences... and not just because of the awe striking beauty but because of the staff. If you choose be wowed here, please try to meet Angel and Alex!

Got a chance to visit the spa. Great service. The ambiance is what you would expect from The Ritz. Unfortunately, the whirlpool on the men's side was out of order - hope they get that fixed soon. Recommend the couples massage and if you brave enough ask for deep tissue. The steam room and sauna had a "locker room" smell to them other than that it was a good overall experience.
S
We certainly had a great experience at the the Ritz for our son’s wedding! Our guests truly enjoyed the resort days leading up to the wedding ceremony! It was held on the lawn overlooking the ocean. The reception and rehearsal dinner were held inside and the floral arrangements were artfully done! We want to return soon to experience the resort again!
T
We wanted a five-star experience for our honeymoon and the Ritz-Carlton did not disappoint. From the professional staff, the beautiful location, the gorgeous hotel, and all the amenities, the Ritz-Carlton delivered us the best honeymoon ever. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for their dream vacation. Three things you must do when you stay at the Ritz-Carlton in key Biscayne, 1 - eat chef Kalman's special omelets, 2 - take advantage of the beautiful spa, 3 - spend lots of time at the pool.

As lifelong Marriott Members, we were excited to get back to traveling after reopening. We chose Miami as a destination as we have never traveled there prior. We found the resort to be less than clean, staff not wiping with sanitizer, old rags being reused and more. Although we try not to pay attention to all the details, some are just blatant observations to rudeness and cleanliness. The room was not as well cleaned and hair on the bathroom floor. The carpets were dirty and needed clean. The drapes had stains and appeared as if someone spilt something on the balcony that was not cleaned either. They leave you with only two towels for two days of showering. It was difficult to even eat on property as a guest, let along not taking reservations. When we called to get reservations they were "booked," yet when we walked down to get in, they sat us immediately. Jut a bad start to getting back to travel. I hope they get back to the exceptional customer service. Last note, Mark, the concierge and his team were absolutely amazing with activities and transportation! Thank you Mark and Robert for all your assistance. You and Robert seem to the only one that cares your guests are taken care of! Ben L.

The Ritz is under new ownership(Marriott). When anybody buys a business, things change. In this case, I see what Happend. They took the Ritz name and are gutting it for everything it’s worth. The same Happend with the Westin as well… This hotel is old. If you are expecting top of the line features when you arrive, don’t get your hopes up. Everything is regular except the elevator buttons. The beach is nowhere near „blue“. The breakfast is 100$ a plate. The rooms are mediocre for 600$ a night. Just not impressed at all. Felt like the Marriott Courtyard to me. Do your research and look up the newly built hotels in Miami. This place is fine. Just no-where near the 5 stars they claim.

The staff outside was very nice! Very helpful and friendly. When I booked online through Expedia, it states that the resort comes with internet. On the website it states that internet is 10.95 extra per night which is a misrepresentation, and also confusing. The receptionist at check in never mentioned anything about Internet which would clear this up and give the customer a decision to pay or either continue to use their own network. Next is the Resort. I was under the assumption (from booking on Expedia) that this was similar to a resort. Meaning there would be discounts or meals included with stay. The restaurants charged for meals and there was absolutely nothing that was complimentary. The atmosphere of the guests were clickish and not warm. I specifically paid extra for a balcony. The balcony in my room was the smallest balcony I’d ever seen in my life. You could not sit outside. There wasn’t even enough room to stand. All I would do was slide the door open and feel the breeze. Very disappointing. Especially for those who wanted to spend time in room and practice social distancing. Again, no one asked the size balcony that I wanted. There were different sizes available. The tv in the room had very limited Channels. There was no ice machine on the 10th floor that I stayed on. The room itself was nice but for the price, it was small. This was my first time staying at any Ritz Carlton hotel / resort. For the price, there are not enough amenities to accommodate paying customers and I was overall disappointed.
M
Great location with lots of onsite conveniences. Service was mostly lacking throughout the resort. One has to keep a close eye on billing, as it's not uncommon to be charged for something that wasn't ordered, or getting the wrong order. Tracking down help when needed is difficult. Half the time you just give up on asking for something to be corrected and end up eating the cost because it takes so long to get someone's attention for help. Also, in speaking with reservations and booking the room, there was supposed to be a full balcony (The actual explanation on the website that the lady booking the reservation confirmed was: Total outdoor space: 32 square feet.) However, upon showing up, there wasn't an actual balcony - just sliding doors with about 12-18" of room on the partial balcony. When asking the front desk about it, they said there weren't any double rooms with a full balcony. It was a very bizarre and disappointing exchange. Anyway, at the end of the day, it seems common theme at this hotel is to pay for something that's never delivered. All of that said, the room's beds were comfy, room features and cleanliness are decent, and resort options made it convenient for R&R on a long weekend without the need to come and go.
S
This was the perfect spot to unplug and relax for a few days. The property was lovely and we enjoyed being able to walk for miles on the beach as well as walk to the two state parks within walking distance. Each staff member was gracious and friendly, with Stefan at the front door going out of his way each time we saw him to provide us with helpful local information along with a map. The room was nice and meticulously maintained. We definitely plan to return.
T
Staff is top-notch! Atmosphere is casual - it's easy to relax and forget the world for a while! Servers were very attentive and friendly. From the moment to arrived to the minute we had to say good-bye, everyone was pleasant, attentive, and "enabled" to do whatever they needed to make sure our stay was exemplary!
G
Visited the resort. Not impressed. Not a variety of things to do outside if th the resort.
B
S
We had the most extraordinary experience and exceptional service throughout our entire stay. All of the staff were so delightful and friendly. One person who especially made our experience memorable was Boris. He was our server multiple times, in fact we ended up requesting him one time because we love him so much. He is such a dedicated worker and a genuine person, the Ritz is lucky to have him.
R
In A Nutshell: -The Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne is a very beautiful property. -There is a private beach that is steps away from when you exit any one of the buildings. -The entire property is green & lush w/ excellent landscaping. -The inside of the hotel is very fancy w/ a nice stair case, high ceilings & wide hallways. -There are plenty of places to lounge. -There is also a coffee/pastry shop called Key Pantry & a restaurant called Lightkeepers on-site. Overall, keep in mind this is a gated property, so you will feel safe & luxurious during your visit!
C
This location does not live up to the brand and we will not be back. We were told upon our arrival that rooms would only be cleaned every other day. There is only one restaurant open on location, all of the others are closed and only open from Thursday-Saturday. Our coffee was not restocked so it makes you feel like you have a used room. We ordered room service one night and the chicken was undercooked. We couldn’t go to the beach because it was not combed. I appreciate the value of a live beach but the debris should be combed off as I have 2 small children that had to have extra precaution. There were a handful of people who were very kind and genuinely happy we were there, however the majority we felt like we were putting them out with any question or request. This location should be audited because the Ritz Carlton has a strong brand to uphold and this location misses the mark completely. The shrimp, guacamole and Johnny at The Cantina were amazing and the highlight of our trip 😂💗 this review is on behalf of my parents and my experience. Room 645 and 754 boy are we glad to be home!
L
The hotel is lovely and conveniently located to Miami. The pool and food/beverage staff were so pleasant and helpful. The pools and beach area are large and accommodating for all guest. Lacking in attention from concierge and front desk staff which was disappointing, Overall a great place to vacation and we would definitely go back.
E
Beautiful hotel, grounds and beach. Most of the food is good. Unfortunately right now the hotel Is almost shut down during the week. Literally one restaurant open in the evening and a room service menu that has less then 15 items on it including sides and starters. The kids club is closed and the shops too. The weekends are better but they keep the staff levels so low during the week after hat no one answers the phone. Not room Service or front desk or housekeeping. No one! Your constantly trying to track someone down at the pool to order drinks or food. It’s kind of nuts. Rooms are Clean and well Stocked and we were given a free upgrade. But really they need to let people Booking rooms know that 80% of the services and amenities are not running.
I
Amazing property and location very close to Brickell , Downtown and only a short distance from Miami Beach. Two pools, family and adult , great pool service very nice staff it was a pleasure to see everyone smiling and willing to go the extra distance to get you what ever you needed even the manager came by to see if we were ok WOW! Thank you!

Nice place... with privat beach access. Activities for children. Clean room,...

My wife and I hoped it have the opportunity to let you know personally how disappointed we were in the Ritz-Carlton staff during my wife’s and niece’s recent stay. We will post a similar review on TripAdvisor. After a year of COVID and no traveling, I wanted my wife and niece, who is an emergency room nurse in Chicago, to spend a long weekend together for my wife’s birthday. Our friends spend a similar weekend in your hotel in January and recommended, and with the nonstop flight for my wife from Vail it was an easy choice. From the moment the two of them entered the hotel at 6 pm after their flights, the disappointment started. While minor, it’s hard to believe there are no bellman to help with bags, no one greeting guests, no one helping with showing guests the property. Those are minor, and at first my wife thought it was due to COVID, but then later she saw other guests reviewing these amenities, which at the Ritz I would call obvious. But then the disaster began. They checked in and were given a phantom room on the 5th floor. Yes, they carried their bags and for 40 minutes, even with the help of a staff person they found, they could not find their room. Mind you, they should have had bags delivered to their room so they could get a bite to eat after flying all day. Instead they dragged their bags the entire time, and when the room couldn’t be found they returned to the front desk. When told of the issue, there was no apology, just a oh my how did that happen and they were given another room on the 7th floor. The went to the room and unpacked, and when my wife stepped between the beds there was a 5’ by 3’ wet sticky spot, not water, because she had to wash her feet off from the goo. Again, they called and told the desk of the problem, this is now two hours after arriving, and the front desk seemed befuddled there could be such a problem. So they packed up and took everything back downstairs and finally ate something while the desk found another room. They could not check in to their actual room until after 9 pm, carrying their bags the entire time, with not one apology or oh I don’t know how this happened, we’ll make sure it doesn’t again. Nothing but almost a disdain for your guests. If this was the Holiday Inn Express, we would be disappointed. But at the Ritz-Carlton, the disappointment turns to shock. Other disappointments were minor but still surprising, but the word limit keeps us from going on.
I
Are you kidding me? 5 stars? Hardly, 4, hardly.... The only 5 star are the prices! Be ready to pay $5 + 18% mandatory gratuity + 12% tax (when the State Tax is 7%) for a can coke, not even cold. Bad quality, bad attitude, bad service and very very overpriced, $600 per room, $50 a very cheap breakfast buffet and after you HAVE to pay and additional resort fee, you will be charged for every activity, for example, if you want to play tennis, you have to pay $15 fee per person, if you want a chair in the beach, you have to wait 45 minutes or pay a VIP fee. The are other better options!
r
Of course it's nice it's the 5 star hotel called the Ritz. 😎👍🏽 The burger place on the beach was full so we went across to the Mexican restaurant and it was a great experience. We got the chicken nachos that were awesome and feeds 2 for $18. It's valet only for $12, unless you do the brunch then it's $24. Just kidding, the valet would be free.

This is a very nice resort conveniently located just outside of Miami if access to the city is important to you but does not feel like it is part of an urban setting. The hotel itself is very well appointed and the service was excellent and the food in the restaurants was excellent as well. Notably, I was upgraded to a very nice room with a view as a result of my elite status. The Spa and health club we’re also very clean and modern and relaxing although the pricing for Spa services were way overpriced. The only negative was that the beach was not as nice as beaches elsewhere on the gulf coast or in the Caribbean but that’s a product of being on the Atlantic ocean presumably.
C
Excellent hotel. The service was great! Staff went above and beyond. Will definitely come back next year. Rooms are beautiful with gorgeous views.

The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne is a perfect combination of Luxury, Talent, and Execution. When booking, the representative took notes on the special occasion, and nothing feel into the cracks. From an incredible room, to the execution of providing a world class experience, the Team at Key Biscayne Ritz Carlton, is the best!! Thank you for a great stay!!
S
We had a great trip. We have been several times and it is always beautiful. The pools are beautiful and the beach is too. The only downside is they took away the hot tub on the family side so kiddos couldn’t access a hot tub which isn’t fun in the winter.
M
We had a fantastic weekend stay! From the customer service to the decor, the place is top notch. Not pretentious.. this is simple elegance in a friendly atmosphere.
