The Pawnshop and More Commercial St, Astoria

“We are trained to give you a third to half of what is sells for on eBay” well they need to train you to use a calculator because your math is wrong. Not surprising, the working class in America is a no common sense bunch of robotic clowns. This “pawnshop” if you wanna call it that 😂 is nothing but a joke like the rest of the pop up shops that last a few years in Astoria. If you want customers you have to treat them right whether they are giving money or asking for it. I won’t be back and y’all shouldn’t waste your time either.

I am pregnant and was immediately greeted by the guy running the store smoking a cigarette at the door. After entering the store, my boyfriend and I were followed by this man. He swore at us and told us to leave the store. We calmly asked why. He would not give a valid reason and he refused to give us his name.

Troy D who helped me out, and the owner who took my payment are both great, these guys really helped me out when I needed a new smart device. Also bought an Invicta watch here and it's been keeping time so far! They were easy to work with on a new phone and offered 30% off all electronics! I hope they run this special again sometime. Will be back to this place. Thank you!

Not sure what happen to the man with children. He made it seem more like a family business then. New management didn't want to seem to want to give me hardly anything for some of my items so I just left. Granted the stuff I brought in I didn't expect much for but definitely more than what was offered. The guy working seems young and almost seems like he was pushed into having to work there. He seemed as if he didn't want to be there. Maybe he was having a off day but I did go in a few times before this particular time and attitude didn't seem much different. I figured he just happen to be working the times I went in instead of the man before. The new guy informed me that the man before quit and so he had to come to work there now. I think the new guy just needs to educate himself more on people skills and item values to keep business good. I thought this is the best pawn shop we have around this area and I hope it continues to be even with the new management. I think customers feel better putting their items and money into a business that seems to care. So smile. Make friendly random conversation. Try to look at the bright side of things. Don't look like Eeyore. Smile life's short. Care about your community and they will care for you to 🙏

Very happy to have these guys in the area, just paid off a loan with them, and have purchased through lay-a-way which was very easy and comfortable here. Would be a 5 star but as this store is very new they do not appear to have many firearms yet (maybe a dozen long guns, half as many pistols) and those are what I myself are looking at when I'm shopping in a pawn.

I haven't been for a couple yrs. But when I have gone in, they where always welcoming and very honest and fair. I guess it really depends on the attitude of the customer. And how you handle business amongst one another:)

What a fun and friendly owner. Great customer service. These folks have helped me acquire a lot of great deals on items is otherwise never be able to afford. And when my iPod touch I has purchsed turned out unusable , the owner was very understanding. And gave me a cash back in full refund And I cannot stress how much I appreciate this place.

Looking at other reviews, people don't seem to understand this is a business. They aren't here to buy your stuff, but rather to profit from it. How else would they pay their rent? I found them to be fair and honest. I sold many items here in one transaction, that would have taken me DAYS to sell on Craigslist. A valuable service for those in a temporary pinch!

This is hands down the worst pawn shop I have ever been to. The guy who runs it is pompous and rude. Went in to look for a new hunting rifle. They have guns posted used for more then brand new asking price. When asked to lower the price. He still tried to sell it for the same price as brand new and gave me an attitude telling me he didn't care I did my research. He knew zero about firearms. I will be happily taking all my needs elsewhere. Bottom line. DO YOUR RESESRCH THEY WILL SCREW YOU ON PRICE

Would give a million stars if I could lol. Pawned my family ring when times were tuff the guy in the front went above and beyond with going out of his way to help me get it back, great man. I've always gotten good customer service and help every time time i've went!
