I was very hesitant about refinancing simply due to not knowing much about it or the process. After talking to a friend of mine who recently refinanced and used Josh Hill at The Federal Savings Bank, I decided to reach out to him. After giving him limited information about my mortgage and finances, he was able to answer all my questions and set my mind at ease regarding the steps to refinance. Throughout the whole process, Josh was very easy to talk to and quick to respond if I had any questions. He was able to get me an amazing rate and I could not be happier. Jason Shell is spectacular. I have not met another banker who is more diligent, knowledgeable and dedicated. It was pretty complex, but he knew exactly what to do and he cut through every roadblock and obstruction to make it happen. Just superb. You need to promote this person. You need to reward him. I have a high opinion of your institution because and solely because of Jason. I will do my best to refer your institution business but I really hope they get assigned to Jason because he is the best.

Awful and very deceptive lender. I was reassured a refinance loan with this company before I paid the large appraisal fee. I asked and confirmed multiple times with the mortgage advisor before paying for the expensive appraisal and was reassured that “all is well,” and sure enough, a month later after paying the $600 appraisal they come back to tell me that they cannot move forward with the loan for something they could have asked me initially!! Unprofessional work from the mortgage advisor that costed me an appraisal THEY should’ve taken the hit for due to their incompetence!! I won’t rest until I notified and alert enough people to stay away from this corrupt bank as though I don’t have enough stress to deal with while deployed overseas! EDIT> This is my response to your investigation. The responsibility falls on YOU, the lender and mortgage adviser (who is licensed) to do your due diligence so that you don't charge the customer on a loan that can't be done. YOU dropped the ball so YOU pay! It doesn't take an investigation to know that my property didn't qualify for a refinance loan after I gave you all that money. You and your garbage Mortgage Adviser Arthur Ortega are complete garbage. Please stop promoting yourself as a Veteran friendly bank just to get more money out of those who ACTUALLY served.

Tom Kelly and the team at The Federal Saving Bank were outstanding. I was well informed and they explained everything to my wife and I. It was a smooth transition for refinance and they got us an outstanding rate. They were very easy to get in contact with and had zero issues with the whole process.

Paul was incredible during this whole process! He even took the time to take care of my loan and develop a superb client relationship. His attention to detail both personally and professionally was astounding! I am greatly impressed with his whole process and ability to coordinate during the COVID pandemic. I only wish I had more business to do with him and Federal Savings Bank. I guess I may just have to buy another house for another great experience.
