The Farmers Bank US, Ridgetop

Would not recommend opening a business account here. My card was used in another state to purchase $100 worth of gas and I was told there was nothing they could do because it was through my business account and I got stuck with paying for someone else’s gas. When I spoke with the main branch I was told it was up to each branch to decide if they want to dispute it or not. So if you have any fraudulent charges on your business card your stuck with it. That’s a horrible way of taking care of your customers. And I don’t know any other bank that would do that.

Nice little bank with a hometown feel. It is not my main bank but I have a couple of rainy day funds there and the staff has always been very helpful and friendly. They have a good checking for Military/Veterans. I have never had any problems with my accounts. Their online banking is very basic but it does the trick.

Great place to do business. People are very helpful in anything you need. Friendly group of people.

I've been a member of the Farmers Bank for over 10 years, and I've constantly had nothing but problems. Nothing like an overdraft fee, or something like that, I've never had those. I've had problems like, the cashier refusing to cash a check, or deposit a check. One time they were fused 2 cash or deposit a check I received from shrums metal, because they said they had received a bunch of fake checks from shrums. so I had to drive to Springfield to deposit it into my account. I switched jobs a little over a year ago, and cashed out my 401k, they issued me a check and I went to deposit it at my bank here, and my bank refused to deposit it, citing that it looked fake. Or in the latest incident, refusing to let me withdrawal funds from my checking account, despite having more than enough funds to cover it. Needed to withdrawal $20, and despite having over $1,500 in my account they would not let me withdraw $20 because I don't have a bank card. Why don't I have a bank card, because mine expired two months ago, they refused to give me a new one... So I had to pay them $2, to use their ATM and withdraw $20 off my credit card instead. This will be the last week I'm with this garbage pile of a bank. Do yourself a favor, and don't believe the hype that small banks are better, because they're not.

Very hateful and unprofessional staff. Came in to close out my account, because I'm moving across country. I was told that they didn't have time to deal with me. I asked her what she meant, because I just needed to sign the paperwork to close it out. She ignored me, and I was ignored for the rest of my duration there. I can't close it out at a different branch, because this is the branch I opened it at and according to their rules you can only close out your account at the place you opened it.

Been banking with Farmers for over 5 years now. Even if they don't have many locations, I've never been treated more fairly by any other bank. Corporate banking giants will never have my business again.
