TFC Credit Corporation Crow Canyon Pl, San Ramon

My school uses this loan service. Let me tell you, They are sketchy and their payment system is sketchy! I experience payment issues every month! I’m signed up for automatic payments. They charged my card and then sent me emails 5 days later saying that I never paid them and that I must pay a $70 Iatr fee in addition to my usual payment. I honestly believe that they try to scam students with late fees. Their system is HIGHLY flawed and it need to be corrected ASAP because it impacts my credit!!! Get your school loans from somewhere else if possible because they are thieves! This company has brought me nothing but stress and frustration!!!! Bootleg company and system. I Highly DON’T recommend.

Please if you have a choice do NOT use tfc. I’ve sent them checks in the mails repeatedly and they haven’t been cashed and they won’t credit my account so they can charge me late fees and I called and verified the address twice. They’re scammers and loan sharks. This place is horrible.

These people are RUDE, lie and refuse to help in any way. I get double charged and I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for a refund. I was lied to was told it was being processed and to wait 3-5 days I call on the 6th day just to find out it was never done while the man in the phone is telling me “ well I could just not put this one through as well “ after I asked if I should call the next day to make sure it was done this time. Never had to deal with such bad customer service.

Horrible experience, charging me late fees because they are too lazy to pick up their phone. I just started using this services because of my massage school and I regret it so much. I agreed to pay on the 10th of each month and they charge me whenever they want and charge late fees for it. I honestly will be talking to the school about it because I can believed that my school don’t do business with other companies that have better customer service. Horrible experience. Please don’t use them at all. I will have a big conversation as soon as i get somebody on the phone because they sound like they are either sleeping or tired when they answered the phone the last time that i talked to them. Try to use their webside and its like from 1910 as well.

DO NOT USE TFC! It is definitely a loan shark situation and you will end up screwed over in the end. Multiple times they tried to say I hadn't been making my payments even though I had the back statements to prove they had all been made on time. They shredded my credit and even after sending the check to pay off the whole account so I never have to deal with them again they are sending me letters and emails saying I am late on my payment and trying to get more late fees! I will NEVER use them again or recommend them. Save yourself the headache, keep your credit, choose a different options.

I am leaving a review for also the people who want to but won't. This by far is the worst customer experience I've ever had from rudeness to being lied to as well as done wrong in many occasions. I tried to make a payment when I was struggling once and he literally trash talked me and wouldn't take a payment and had a attitude on top of bringing me down about it. Do not get TFC your better off not going to school if this is your only option and no one should ever have to say that.

I know that I owe, but several times I have spoken with your customer service reps and they have been very rude. It makes no sense to be so disrespectful.

They refuse to put payments on pause during any hardship, like COVID or unemployment.

It is a shame this we can give this company one star. I wish there was a negative start system. I am a physician and my school had used this company as a means of financing student aid. What a pitiful excuse for a lending company. This company has, on numerous occasions, accepted my payment taken the money out of my bank account, attempted to take more payments out and then tried to tell me I didn't pay for the month and then tried to charge me late fee's. After exhaustive efforts to rectify the situation and threatening legal action they are corrected their mistake. I wish that this had only happened once but it was numerous times. En-fact it happened so much I had to find a credit card that would allow me to set up a number that I could set a specific limit on reoccurring payments just so these terrible people couldn't try to over charge me again. Please hear this message, if you have any other option, and I do mean any other option, short of selling yourself or drugs to make money, do not use this company ever. They are deplorable at best.

This place is a JOKE. We set up recurring payments to be taken out and now three years later (they haven’t sent any invoices or final notices in this time either) it is being sent to collections. They are reporting I haven’t made payments when payments should have been taken out. We are reviewing all of our records, but from other reviews it seems as though this a recurring issue with them.
