RUN... DON'T WALK AWAY FROM TEFCU! The worst credit union on the PLANET! š I have been with TEFCU for almost 10 years and have never been impressed with their service. When the branch was open on Bladensburg Road, I could at least find a person to help me if things went awry. However now, the South Dakota branch is a joke. No human factor at all! All computer based. š„ļø I can go into any bank and they have tellers, branch managers to talk to. Not TEFCU! No one wants to talk to you or offer assistance. First, the security guard is rude and unprofessional. And she also serves as the "greeter!" š It seems like no matter what question you ask or services you need...you are either told "We don't take appointments or Go to the Computer!" It is clear TEFCU does not want to be bothered! I do what I can online so I do not have to deal with the branch directly. I would rather put my eye out than go to the branch. My sentiment is because the majority of customers are people of color (black and brown people), TEFCU feels our monies don't matter, therefore why honor us with great customer service. If the clientele was predominantly white, I feel confident these complaints would never surface. As soon as I can, I am closing my account. For anyone listening, take your monies and open an account with a credit union that will appreciate and honor your business.

You can never speak to an associate. They have a call center thatās out of state. They canāt help you with ANYTHING! When the associate transfers the call, to a supposedly human being, no one answers. When you go into the the branch you arenāt able to speaks to anyone ASAP! Itās so crazy. Security Guard is very unprofessional, I can go on. The 3rd party payment center they had 3 years ago was way better than what they currently have! MANN! Absolutely one of the worst Credit Unions.

If I could give this bank 0 stars I would. The worse bank out there my husband savings account has been on hold for a year now and no one at the bank knows anything also he was deployed to Cuba and he was issued another card but to speed up his funds he decided to do a transfer to his BOA account that was Friday morning it is now Thursday. All anyone keeps telling him is that someone will call him back in a hour and after 2 full days no call backs. This bank is incompetent and does not know what theyāre doing. He will no longer use this bank!

I love this bank. I have only had 1 issue in years and it was corrected swiftly. They work with you and have great programs. My only caveat was when they changed the phone system. That needs to change back so that when you call you speak to someone that is actually at the bank.

Truly awful! Good thing the market st locale is in a shopping center as I needed therapy of the retail persuasion after my visit just to calm down. Staff is RUDE. Setup apparently designed by a carnival worker. It is not amusing however. Why in the world would a banking institution not allow you to use your bank card to access your account in person? I understand multi factor verification but the card should be one of the factors. Ridiculously large screens with tiny print and virtual keys with no view of what you are inputting makes access nearly impossible. I would be fine with doing all my transactions online from the comfort of my own home however this bank does not have the tools (like Zelle) available to make this possible. Move your money somewhere that appreciates your business instead of giving you the business - or at the very least provides a reasonable level of service and services.

This is a horrible establishment. Terrible customer support. I thought 'Bank of America' was bad but this is surely the worst i have encountered. I have been trying to close my account for months. They don't answer the phone, won't respond to emails and the only way to get inside is to schedule an appointment. This was unknow to me at first. I drove there from maryland, walked inside. Coincidentally as I was walking up, somebody walked out. Immediately a female security guard behind the desk rudely told me that I have to get out. "This is appointment only." We'll that's fine but how do you know I don't have am appointment, you didn't even ask. Also why does she have to be so rude to me? I have an account here. I asked if I can make an appointment and she told me no, that I have to leave and call the bank number. This bank is a joke. Removing all my funds as soon as I can get inside this branch.

The worst credit union on this planet. You can't reach the branch, the third party that they use for the call center is worthless, and the overall quality of service has a cheap feel. I've had my direct deposit going here since I started working, and just haven't moved it over to my other credit unions because of the hassle. That ends now.

This banking institution sucks⦠Theyāll let random people take money out of your account, let withdrawals from random people of checks withdrawals and never give you the information. And donāt let you be paying child support and be in good standings, they will not approve you for a loan. I had a loan there for 4 years on my truck and as soon as I got on child support they denied me financing on a new car . I literally hate this bank.

Terrible customer service. I discovered credit card fraud Saturday night so I called the credit union and the number on the credit card right away. I could not get through to anyone. I called numerous times on Monday and could not get through to anyone. I had to drive 40 minutes to the credit union. Received new card in mail but could no longer access account on line. Tried calling numerous times again with no success. Iām in the process of closing account and switching to another banking institution.
