TD Bank Reviews
T
Well until just a month ago I would have thought TD was a pretty decent big bank. I am writing this review because of what recently happen to my wife and I. To put things simple don’t trust what they say on the phone what so ever and never do any type of exchange transfer with this bank if it can be helped. Thanks to a manger named Steven my wife and I lost over $1300. When confronted with the situation we were simply told he could do nothing. This happen because I called and asked what the exchange rate was, he said market exchange rate not being clear that it was the “TD market” rate. The difference was 3 cents on every dollar it’s a big difference when exchanging larger amounts of money. Overall this killed all since of trust with this bank. We closed our accounts because of it. This is thanks to the Wilmington, NC TD on Collage Road.

I enjoy banking at the TD Bank branch in Hampstead (the only one I've used so far). The staff works hard and they help me when I need it. Thanks!

happy, smiling faces from everyone, everytime we use the bank, or need something. Wish all banks were like.

TD lied to customers about foreign exchange rates. I transferred 63783.43 Canadian dollars to my daughter in February 23, she asked TD branch near her. TD manager said that change rate is currently market exchange rate, but it was TD's market rate, which is way worse than market rate. TD took over thousand dollars advantage from us.

I cannot reccomend this bank enough!! They have the most wonderful staff! Amber, McKenna, Helena, Colleen, and Sarah... all of them. Even Brian and Natalie who no longer work there (sad about that) are the most friendly people to ever work at a bank! They greet me by name every time and most times when I hear them speaking to other customers they greet them by name as well. They truly take the time to know their customers and conversate with them. Its not just a transaction and done. Never. Not at TD of Hampstead. At times their bank is SLAMMED and they never make me feel rushed or like I'm not important. If you want to know what customer service SHOULD look like you need to go here. These girls are AWESOME!

Went to the drive through window today. Had to walk through because the truck wouldn’t fit. I was trying to get a new bank card because my bank information had been stolen. The people at the window told me they couldn’t do anything for me because my license had been expired. I even gave them my social security card. The to support on the phone a few days prior said I wouldn’t have any problems but I did. Left and called td 1800 number and talked to someone who asked me a few simple questions and then expedited me one next day for all my problems. My question is why couldn’t I have answered all these questions in person where they have me on video camera can make copies of my expired license and social security card and then either give me a new card or mail it next day like the less secure way did on the phone...the hampstead, nc location didn’t even offer me another solution just left me out to figure it out on my own. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life!

Be aware of online acct offers! Do not open an online acct with them. I opened an acct, verified all my info, transferred money from another account to fund it, set up direct deposit and 2 days after they received my direct deposit the suspended acct saying it was being reviewed. Took two phone calls to find out my direct deposit will now take 3 business days to be returned to my employer. They had no explanation saying they could not discuss reviews over the phone. I will be making sure to inform everyone I can to not use this bank. Luckily I only had a portion of my paycheck deposited as I was going to use this acct as a vacation savings acct. Glad I can live without $2500 for a week +. Others might not be this fortunate. And rely on their money on payday. Do not fall for the online acct offering a sign up bonus. I am now left without a bonus and mu hard earned money for several days.
