Sunbelt Title S Dixie Hwy, Miami

I am very disappointed in the service that I received from the Pinecrest Sunbelt Title Agency. My closing was 02/01/22. I understand that their policy is to hold $250.00 of my proceeds to ensure the MDWS is paid... which I provided documentation there was a credit. I do understand the waiting period, but 4.5 months is a little much. On the multiple times that I have inquired about my funds I have gotten nothing but the run around, supposedly now because of an error the the Escrow department made...should this be my problem? This is now 06/15/22 and I am told that I will need to wait for a supervisor to get back from vacation to have my funds. Very poor business practice!

My closing went well with joanne no complaints there. It was after the closing were the issue started. I ended up having to pay for the sellers past due water bill in order for me to have water on the property. I called and emailed Joanne in regards to this issue and was told that the seller provided a zero balance for his account in June 2020 but the property wasn’t sold until December 2020. We are now in February 2021 and the issue has yet to be resolved and I doubt Joanne cares now seeing how the closing was done. Definitely my last time doing a closing with sunbelt title and wouldn’t recommend them.

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. The incompetence of the entire branch, but in particular of Joanne Shopay, is astounding. I truly question her reading comprehension skills and IQ level. She made countless errors, COUNTLESS, and she demanded paperwork that she had no business asking for (paperwork our lawyer told us she had no business asking for). She was discriminatory against me and my family, accusing us of fraud, in writing, and countless other things. She went on vacation for a week before the closing date, so we had to postpone it, and then when she came back it was as if she'd forgotten half of the information we'd given her. A truly moronic, mean-spirited, incompetent person. She almost cost us the sale of our home 3 different times and treated us with the kind of disdain that turns your stomach. Selling your home should not be a nightmare, but it was with her in charge. Please, for the sake of your health, stay away!!!
