Joshua worked very hard, diligently, and effectively to ensure this process went well and that we had the best experience possible. Mechelle was great too. There were some things I felt could have been easier but the challenge was that Sun West is on the West Coast and I am on the East Coast, so timing was an issue of getting information or requests that came in to me after 5pm Eastern time. Communication between Josh, Mechelle and I was good, however there seemed to be a lack of communication between them as I would get the same request for information that was sent to Mechelle, and then Josh would call and ask for the same information, or a third party would call to verify something. It was rather overwhelming feeling like "I just sent that" The other issue I had was the website that says "Track your loan process" does not allow you to actually log in and follow the process, or I for some reason couldn't track it, which is a great feature and would have been nice to access. All in all I was thankful for Josh and Mechelle. Thank you Sun West.

Additionally, they have never sold my loan, and have always treated me like a VIP once a customer. I've even had other companies tell me it would be in my best interest to stay with Sunwest when looking to refi, as Sunwest provides customers with an exception rate, once established. Sunwest will always be my go to option for all my mortgage needs.

So my mortgage "Escrow Analysis" was mailed to me. - I never rec'd it. I was told they tried to contact me by phone - once, it was busy. Never tried again. Mortgage payment jumping by $275.00. Poor customer service. Blame it on Covid, but there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE support here.

I contacted Sun West on June 8th via their website to get a refi with cash-out on my home. Sara Marshall was my loan officer. While working on this loan I got a total of 2 phone calls from her (June 14th and June 21st). Her email response was equally as poor. The first loan estimate was wrong, as she never called to discuss my loan needs. The second estimate was also wrong requiring a restructure of the loan. Due to her poor communication, I was left wondering for a week what the status was on this loan. I sent email after email requesting status as well as phone messages. I called the main number for Sun West on June 21st and requested to speak to her manager. Jacob Valle (the loan coordinator) got on the line and told me that he would take care of the situation and have a manager call me. Jacob also noted to me on the phone that he had not been able to get a response from her on the status of the loan. Instead of a manager call, Sara finally called me. She gave me a lame excuse that she was not getting my emails. However, Jacob was receiving my emails as he replied to them. She went on to tell me that she restructured the loan on June 16th, however, Jacob did not receive it and I did not receive any updated documents. For me, mortgage loans are very time sensitive. So there should be a sense of urgency to completing and communicating with the customer. On the last call she finally wanted to discuss the rate lock that I had asked about several times. It was at this time that she told me I would need to pay $16k extra for that rate. This was not included in any of the loan estimates or previous communications. I was appalled that this was the way she provided this information. This should have been discussed initially and provided in the loan estimate. I feel that we were at the point of moving forward with the appraisal and pushing to closing. This was the wrong point in the conversation to provide the real details of the rate and what is would cost. This method breaks trust and it is unacceptable. Her professionalism, knowledge, communication and people skills are severely lacking for a job that requires them. I have decided to take my business to another company, because of my experience with her. I let her know on the phone that I would not be taking a loan out with Sun West because of her and she could close anything that was related to me case.

Worst Company ever!!! Stop calling me! They call my office and mobile 3x a day from another country. I tell them to stop but they never stop calling!!! Who are you and how did you get my number??? I would never ever do business with your company.

David Pahwa, our Operations person, was professional and knowledgeable and so was his staff. In fact, there were times that I forgot we were in the middle of a refinance as they did all the work for you. I highly recommend Sun West Mortgage Company.

I cannot get away from SunWest Mortgage Company fast enough! They have made my refinance process a HORRENDOUS experience. Inept employees, rude underwriters that take 3 hour lunchbreaks, and broken communication. (Expect days and weeks of emails and calls going dark.) Sun west mortgage makes you feel like they're doing you a favor by returning your calls or helping you with any of your needs or questions. I want to feel good about the company I'm using to finance my house. I STRONGLY urge anybody considering them to handle their mortgage to RECONSIDER if you value customer service and integrity. I will be going back to Quicken Loans ASAP...never a single issue with them!

I always advise my clients to pick a small local lender sometimes they do not listen and it is 100% their choice which lender they go with. With this particular experience we had a very bad experience and literally nobody was answering phone calls or emails during this time. When the loan did not close on time nobody could tell me why but the only thing that was said was the company is so large and there’s so many divisions I don’t know where it failed or why it failed and I have no answers for you. I have to say Alberto's customer service is exceptional. He followed up with me personally regarding my request. He was attentive and patient. Stayed on the phone with me to make sure I received my requested documents via email. I was so impressed with Alberto's customer service that I told him if he was here locally, I would take him to lunch. Dealing with the company were the worse I have had in my life. From getting moved from one person to another, documents getting lost in one case having to send the same document six times. The lack of direction or follow up, having to demand to speak to managers, or sending strong letters, even legal threats to get anything done. Delays by Sun West meaning I had to have a second house appraisal owing to time extension. I would NEVER!!!!!! recommend this company to anybody! The amount of stress I was put through was terrible it actually affecting not only my health but that of my family. THE EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIBLE!

When I first purchased my home I was with another company then I refinance with Sun West Mortgage still satisfied with them and then just about a couple of months ago another Mortgage Company told me they could lower my Interest rates. I started the process with them but before it was finished I got a call from Mr. Bryan seeing that I was about to leave them he says wait a minute you are our family and I will fix it with what you want that their are offering because we don't want to lose you as a customer so I said ok let's do this! I was frustrated with my escrow account increase but my phone rep Albert Gill did a great job explaining the reason for the escrow increase. He was very patient and helpful with good advice how to fix my problem. Hopefully all customer service reps at Sun West act as professional as Mr. Gill.

We had some hiccups during my loan process and my broker fought for us to get it all fixed but they wouldn't honor our rate due to technical difficulties. Then getting everything signed off was a whole other ordeal that I think could have been a bit clearer and efficient. They really wanted us to sign papers while we were on vacation but their agents kept missing us in a bit of a frustrating game of phone tag. In the end things worked out okay. It was easy to set up payments on their portal and I have called them over the phone regarding my automatic payments and how to do extra payments if I want. The customer service representative was knowledgeable, answered all my questions and gave me some tips to not mess up my online payments.

Sam was a fantastic help to me today. I appreciate the time and effort he put in to my issue. I left the conversation confident that Sun West Mortgage is still the best mortgage company for me.

I called Sunwest to get some information for my taxes. I spoke with Alberto Gil, I cannot stress enough how great he was and helping me. Question after question he answered intelligently and promptly. In addition, he brought up points that I had not considered which were very helpful. He obviously knows his job very well and is extremely helpful courteous and knowledgeable. If ever , I need to call back with a question, I hope I will get Roberto Gil to help me! By far oh, he was the most helpful person I have ever dealt with from any company I've ever dealt with!

Sunwest mortgage did a fantastic job getting back to me in a timely manner and mitigating an issue I had with the three credit bureaus. They've always been responsive and I plan to refinance with them as well. Good job SunWest!!!!

Really a great company to work for. It has been 6 months in this company and so far I have learned alot.

Bad communication. Several emails qnd many voicemail sent and Carlos would never reply. The only reply we would get was from his assistant. There were so many issues with this process. The service was by far the worst I've experienced.
