We had a terrific experience with everyone we worked with on the Summit Funding team. Right from the start Mike Black was so kind and patient while he walked us through how the process was going to work and what to do / not do with our financial choices. Then, Michael Dufour was very generous with his time and wisdom. Michael always had time for the oddest calls or texts about any and all weird questions we had — his knowledge about loan financing is incredible! Once we were pre-approved and the offer was accepted, Kari Reed was the calm and helpful guide we needed to hold our hand through to closing. We had a disappointing experience working with Summit. While we were initially told customer service was paramount, communication was lacking throughout the process. The team only spoke/emailed my fiance, even though we asked several times for them to email both of us so we could stay up to date on progress. Ultimately, when it came to our closing day, they didn't have the funds prepared to go to our title company in time, leading us to wait for an additional hour before eventually deciding to leave. It was an additional few hours before it all went through, but the stress it caused to an already stressful situation showed they did not care about us as clients.

Ryan Jewett has been the most communicative and helpful partner for originally purchasing my home, and then ultimately refinancing several years later. I cannot recommend him highly enough as we had an excellent experience. Not only is he thoroughly knowledgeable, but he is also an extremely hard worker and he made the process as simple as possible for us. We couldn't be happier!

If you are considering Summit Funding I'd suggest you go see August Schuller. He was absolutely amazing, and went above and beyond to get us the loan we wanted. Explained every part of the process in great detail and made it easy to understand. Their was never a time where (as a first time home buyer) I wasn't properly informed at each step. He gave great advise and recommended me a fantastic realtor. I would recommend him over anyone else. He definitely made the whole thing a fun and easy process. Thanks again August!

Tom was very communicative throughout the process and as the listing agent, I appreciated knowing where the buyers' were as far as their financing and I did not have to reach out at all for updates.

The worst of the worst. Please do yourself a big favor and stay away. They make you feel that your working for them. If you have perfect credit and no extra baggage maybe you will have a different experience. However if you are like me and have any extra baggage please stay away.

I have been going back and forth with Summit Funding for months now trying to get them to understand that I am property tax exempt but they just can't get it right. They told me they fixed it but the new payment wont take effect until February. Now it's Christmas time and I have to pay them an extra $1000 for property taxes that we both know I don't owe just so that I can request an escrow analysis and have that money sent back to me a month or two later. They are not worth this headache and I wish I never used them. All issues get blamed on the computer system as if the humans that work there get no say in the matter. They promise call backs that never happen and shift blame whenever they can. Everyone I talk to gives a different, often conflicting, explanation. There are better companies out there and I highly recommend you choose one of them and not Summit Funding.
