Summit Credit Union E Tyranena Park Rd, Lake Mills

I got my first auto loan from this bank in December of 2021. The “Loan Senior Advisor” Belinda handled my loan and opened up my first credit card for me too. It took all of 3 and almost 4 months to receive my registration for my car, my plates, and my tags. It took so long that I got letters in the mail from the State telling me that if I waited one more month, my drivers license would be suspended. This experience is not just my own. My partner cashed in his IRA… or… tried to, at least. He presented the correct documentation and his money was put on hold for over two weeks to “verify” it. At the time of this review, we still have not received that money in his account. In addition, any time I go inside for some help, the ladies at the front desk act like I’m wasting their time. They’ve never had manners and I am always dismissed by them. In my experience, this is the worst bank I’ve ever been a part of. I will only be using the Cottage Grove location from now on even though it is 15 minutes out of the way.

This morning I went to summit credit Union and I talked to a Box. A simple withdraw took way too long ( I estimate 7 - 10 minutes ) and I never got a receipt. I got sick of waiting for the receipt so I mentioned it to a employee and they tried to get in touch with the lady in the Box, but apparently they could not contact her. I just gave up and left without a receipt and maybe my change I don't know, because I didn't get a receipt. I am just glad this is not my primary bank.

How can you charge people money for a "transfer fee". Is anyone actually doing any work for that or are you just taking people's money?

Was told that we would be attended to in a minute or two. Waited 30 minutes and decided to just leave.

My name is Gwen Stefanski and I just wanted to drop a samll line to corporate personal at Summit CU. Your style of trying to get people to use your not so good service is very, very bad. I made the mistake of joining your credit union and after the bad service I will be passing it on to others not so they don't have to go through it. I will be closing out my accounts. I will be passing on this info on face book to others.

Great Place for a Loan! Jake the Senior Banker was beyond helpful with my loan and getting people to do their part from the appraisers to the main office. Not being able to bank in person is BEYOND frustrating. Yes I've used the ATM before, NO I don't want to that's why I walked inside the bank. Weird to have someone tell you to use the machine that's slower and way less personal when they are free at the counter. I know it makes me an old man but in person interaction is way better.

6-1-22. You get better customer service at McDonalds. Go to Bank of Lake Mills.

I recently inquired at Summit Credit Union for an auto loan refinance. The process was excellent. I set an appointment online for the very next morning. The loan specialist I worked with was Madeline, she was fantastic. Madeline made what can be a painful process very painless. Even while waiting in the lobby I was offered coffee and was welcomed with warm smiles. People seemed to genuinely like working here. They have always gone above and beyond. They have helped me when other places may not have, and gave me an opportunity to begin again. I did not let them down. I highly recommend Summit Credit Union to anyone that has had a bad experience with banking in the past. They really do help you get back on track and rebuild your credit.
