Terrible customer service. Paying bills with your checking account will be nothing but a hassle with these dim wits. Crystala or whatever ebonics like name at the front desk should not be allowed any interaction with share holders or the general public. During Covid this place was seven worse on service. Losing paperwork, shifting blame on other employees and will waste your time and patience.

I came to my bank here to get a second opinion on my house and homeowners insurance. Brian was the person I asked to help me. He brushed me off for nearly two weeks. He said that he was working on it. A week passed and I was able to talk to someone named Matthew who said Brian said he would call me today and he never did. I told Brian if he couldn't help me I would just go to Fayetteville. Finally he did it that day. I had my credit report in the pile of papers, and Brian said that he couldn't use it. Remind you, its a legal up to date credit report. I did this so he wouldn't have to run my credit and take a hard hit. I said okay since it wasn't good enough. How about Brian ran a home loan application, instead of my credit report. I didn't give him permission to do that. He knew that I was there to verify the amount of my home was correct, the debt ratio was correct, and a second opinion on my home owners insurance. I wrote up a statement asking for just those things. Why would he run a mortgage loan application just to check the numbers. On top of him running my credit for a mortgage loan application he denied me! I didn't notice what he did until I got home and googled what he did. The day I was in the office I asked to speak to the manager. She saw me waiting and ignored me like I wasn't there. After the long wait, Matthew saw me waiting and called me into his office. I noticed that Brian didn't even do my insurance quote and he was very cold towards me. I told him that African Americans like myself, is mistreated for the color of my skin. When it comes to owning homes there are laws to protect people from being discriminated. I had to sit in the lobby for a long time for an second opinion on m homeowners insurance. I will be calling someone over the Southern Pines branch on Monday. I feel discriminated and let down by MY bank who is supposed to support me. No one should be treated this way rather it is because of their race, religion or status.

Overall has been a good experience until we had to deal with one particular loan person. This person would never return my calls. I always had to call them and leave messages and would still not get a call back. It's 2 weeks now and I still haven't signed a simple loan paperwork. This is the only person I have dealt with at this branch that had awful customer service. Everyone else is great! I won't be dealing with this person ever again.

This is a solid, honest place of business. Our family has used their services for many years for a number of services. They won't nickle and dime you with fees, will not take advantage, and have no incentive to sell you things. The service is good and they will work with you in times of difficulty.

Whoever just answered the telephone didn’t say a word just hung up in my face.
