There is a spoiled smell when you walk in. They sell expired food,at a discount. They have raised the prices since new ownership. The cashier was friendly and courteous.

High prices and the store smells like the seafood market. I had the meat counter worker offer me weed when I was shopping. This is no lie! Lol. I go when I'm on a time crunch but not often.

Small mom and pop feel in a large store. Some ethnic food that is not available at other chain stores. Nice place to shop.

Good fried chicken but once you ask for lunch meat from the deli the younger lady is angry excuse me ma’am you work in the deli that’s where people go to get lunch meat 🙄

I asked the cashier a question and he was really rude. Another customer in front of me had to call a manager because she was charged the wrong amount for some water and when he went to check the price she followed him to make sure he was looking in the place where they had the price. When she walked up on him he had thrown the sign in a corner and told her he charged her the right price. That's when she asked for a manager. He needs to do stocking only because his frontline customer service skills will cause them to lose loyal customers fast!

Not as friendly as it use to be. Seems to have lost it's stability since new management.

Clean store, have everything other stores have plus more and at cheaper price.

Update: They have roaches. There was a roach in our bacon, sandwiched in-between the slices so there was no way to spot it beforehand. We won't be shopping there anymore. Old review: Chicken is a hit or miss, most of the time it's really good but other times you can taste that it's been fried in old oil. Their meat also isn't very good as it's inedible at times or just looks straight up disgusting. My mom had bought a turkey from there and there was so much wrong with it that we couldn't even cook it and had to throw it away. Sometimes other customers will even warn you against buying meat for the day.

The fried chicken at this place is the best fried chicken at any grocery store around and the store is great on prices and has a great choices of products

Low prices...almost resembles a large dollar store...has a very small deli area...there was also a customer seevice area where postage stamps could be bought, along with applying for their store rewards card.....lottery area wasn't too bad either,...that's also where you'll find the "strong drink items", (separate from beer I believe)....food didn't seem fresh....needs to work on customer service training skills..... friendliness....proper temperatures of food items, (hot/cold),...and cleanliness of store.

It's a great place to shop for items you need in a hurry, has deals on meat products 5 for $20.00 and prices on other items are reasonable. One ile is the dollar items of different products you can use for cooking, bathing etc, if your a regular or not staff great you with a 😊and hello, store is in a great location for St.Bernard and Avondale resident.

Great place. They baked chicken makes my big toe shoot up in my boot. It juicy and seasoned just right. Me and my patna go there on lunch break. By the time I'm done with the chicken . It looks like a fossil

Much better than 5 years ago. Cleaner. More food choices. Prices not too bad. I think it's worth shopping here

They have some of the best fried chicken in the city! Also, some of the best lunch prices and generous portions of food for the money.

My usual shopping is at Shurfine . Just a great store to buy my meats from.

I always go here but sometimes their prices are higher than Krogers.

Went to deli and there is one lady there with the most discourteous attitude and made it frustrating to come here

I originally gave this store 4 stars, but I now have to change it. This store has gone downhill. I don't know if they have new owners or what is going on. But they are out of stock on most essential items and what they do have is so overpriced it's laughable. It's sad when you consider this is the only grocery store in the neighborhood, so many residents don't have a choice.

Nice store and they always have good deals. Their friend chicken is down home flavor fresh, and you can call in orders for a large amount at least 2 days in advance.

Kinda cheap groceries, but not Walmart cheap, no bakery and almost no produce It's a good Corner Grocery Store Fun fact: The "deli" makes some of the best Mac and Cheese you will ever have in your life

Great prices for every item in the store. Staff is polite and helpful Jim. This is one of the few places that did not raise food prices 3 or 4 times higher than the average pricing because of covid.

The grocery prices is real good for the neighborhood that is supports I really love it a lot great deals coupons I encourage everybody to shop there

They've recently gotten rid of half the produce section (not that it was fantastic anyway), added an aisle of dollar items (even though there are 2 dollar stores right there), and the smell is worse than ever! Service is good, prices are great, but at least please get rid of the bad odor.
