St. Aloysius School Mt Mercy Dr, Pewee Valley

We have had children attending St. Aloysius School for almost 20 years straight and counting. Our kids have received a great education here. St. Aloysius not only goes above and beyond academically, but they also teach things like kindness, respect, compassion, and faith that only comes from a great school and great teachers. In the words of my youngest daughter, "I'm really gonna miss St. Al's when I graduate, it's like my 2nd home."

I find this school to be excellent in all areas from staff to students, and even to cleanliness. Everyone seems happy with smiles on their faces and the children are so polite, holding doors and actually speaking to me, asking if they can be of assistance. The principal is bilingual which is helpful at times. She is also practical down to earth and loving. You can tell she loves the students, her staff, and her job! St. Aloysius is a perfect size not too big and not too small. Kids leave well prepared for high school and beyond.

My grandson attended preschool at St. Aloysius last year and is now in kindergarten there. He loves school and the learning environment there sparks his curiosity. The teachers seek positive attributes in every student and find ways to encourage and develop those attributes. I love the ways they promote Christian values in everything they do.

Our family joined St Aloysius in 2012 and our son started in Preschool in 2014. He is now in 3rd grade and loves his class and school. We have small class sizes and a wonderful, supportive, community. Our son has grown so much and is very proud to say he is a St. Aloysius Eagle! We are excited for the next few years!

I have been a member of St. Aloysius school and parish for many years. While attending St. Al’s, I was nurtured in a way that prepared me for the next steps in my education. I had some amazing teachers that really cared about me, and I enjoyed the catholic atmosphere along with the weekly masses. I am so thankful for my time at St. Aloysius and would recommend this school to all!

When we first moved to Louisville 4 years ago we were looking for a school for our daughters that was welcoming, friendly, encouraging and God loving. We found all of that and so much more at St. Aloysius. My daughters enjoy going to school. The bonds they have made with teachers and friends are more then I could have ever asked for. I was very lucky enough to join the St. Aloysius staff. The staff loves and cares for every child as if they are their own. We are blessed to be apart of St. Aloysius.

St. Aloysius is the perfect balance of strong academics, small class sizes, dedicated teachers and administrators, state-of-the-art technology, and great extracurricular activities all embedded in a close-knit, faith-filled atmosphere. Having three St. Al's graduates and a current 7th grader, my husband and I can confidently say sending our kids here has been one of our very best decisions as parents. St. Aloysius has been instrumental in nurturing our children intellectually, socially, and spiritually and has proven to be an excellent foundation for high school and college success. It's been a blessing to be part of this parish and school community!

St. Aloysius has been a true blessing for our family. We have been so impressed with the academic excellence in this Blue Ribbon School! The teachers and staff are amazing, and our principal, Mrs. Hayslip, knows each student by name. There is such a strong sense of community here, and we are so thankful that our children love this school as much as we do.

We have had children at St. Aloysius for five years and it was the best decision we could have made for their education, personal development and well-being. The faculty and staff are not only nurturing but are also innovative and committed to their own continuing education. It's a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence committed to maintaining that status and it's very conveniently located in Pewee Valley, just 3.5 miles from the Gene Snyder. My daughters have personally been involved in school sports, art club, choir, Girl Scouts, STEM activities and Summer Camp. Also, there is a weekly Girls Group for 4th and 5th grade girls hosted by the school counselor to address self-esteem, anti-bullying and personal issues which are critical at that age. The school community is very welcoming and we have made life-long friends with many families at St. Aloysius. I'm so grateful we found this school.

St. Aloysius is a wonderful place for children. I have had kids there for the past 8 years. They love their school. One of my children has a learning disabilty and they have been incredibly supportive. She is happy and thriving in her academics.
