Nancy a partner at Spina CPA has been preparing our tax returns for almost a decade, as a real estate investor, it is extremely crucial to have a CPA that has knowledge of real estate investment and development, Nancy is extremely knowledgeable and has not only prepared our filings, but has been an advisor with future projects and sales. She has also helped consult with us regarding 1031 exchanges, different tax breaks etc. She is always available for questions etc, and makes time for her clients. Real estate investors are possibly the worst client for a CPA lol, we have a tendency of not having our Quickbooks done in time or efficient , so we are definitely not the easiest of clients, Nancy has been an asset to us and we are thankful that she has us as a client.

The scummiest property manager and rental owner I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Ignores and maintenance requests and just completely unwilling to act like they are human. Avoid at all costs.

This past year was my first time using Spina & Company for personal tax return service and I couldn't have been more satisfied. My return was thorough, had a quick turnaround, and provided the largest refund BY FAR that I've ever received. I highly recommend them.

I took my taxes here to have them independently checked after I did them on my own and found out that I owed the government a decent amount of money. They met with me and walked through my situation. After working with them for several weeks they determined that what I owed was accurate. I paid them but determined that there was no need to go to a CPA for my tax situation, as I verified doing the taxes myself was accurate and not overly difficult. I imagine as taxes get more complicated that needing a CPA may be necessary. There was some period of time where my questions were going unanswered but they eventually got resolved, although slower than I had hoped for. A good local business!

Spina has been a great company to work with, very practical and willing to work with you in a way that helps both parties. Any time I have ever needed maintenance in the last two years, it has been taken care of quickly, often the next day and the maintenance workers are friendly and considerate. Of the three landlords/property management companies I’ve had since moving to Philadelphia, this is without a doubt the best!

My roommate and I have been renting from Spina (technically Joby Properties) since 2012, and have been very happy with them. They have been very responsive with service issues and have been flexible on the rare occasions that rent has been late. Rent increases have been minimal (our next lease renewal will bring a total increase of $100/mo over the course of 6 leases...can't complain about that), which shocked us considering we're in Point Breeze and our block is becoming really popular. They even allowed me to sign the lease when our former roommate moved out...despite the fact that my credit was less than stellar. (I was initially not on the lease, but my occupancy was written into the original lease.) Joe has been a great landlord and we've been happy to continue living here.

Great CPA For Real Estate Professionals I've used Spina and Company for a few years now for my personal and LLC tax returns. Having multiple businesses across 3 LLC's can get complicated but the accountants here make it easy to receive documents and file taxes in a timely manner. Nancy reached out to me and even helped me get a PPP loan which is forgivable and that is helping me to weather the financial storm from the Coronavirus. Thank you Joe, Nancy and Dan!

I don't normally write reviews online because, frankly, it is rare that I find a company, service or person that impresses me enough to do so. In the case of Spina and Bryan however I felt compelled to leave an excellent review because of the excellent service that Brian gave my wife and I when we were searching for a new place to live. He's honest, trustworthy and actually a really nice guy. I'm glad to say that I recommend him and his company 100%. If you need a place and you don't want to deal with the usual BS give Brian a call.

Joe is a great guy and a great accountant. He definitely exceeded my expectations and was much better than any accountant I've used in the past. His staff is very welcoming, professional and fast. I highly recommend Spina & Company.
