It's not fair that when they merged with CenterState Bank that the reviews from CenterState Bank stayed on. This new bank is an absolute joke. Over the years I have closed many manufactured home loans with CenterState Bank. Never had an issue. Great service. South State is an absolute joke. They've delayed our closing multiple times even after they were the ones who gave us a closing date! Horrible communication! STAY AWAY until they get their act together! I do not write negative reviews often because I know it affects peoples businesses, but if you trust South State with your clients and your business, prepare to be embarrassed.

I wanted to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to JESSICA ! She is always super polite and greets me by name and knows what I’m there for before I even have to ask!!! She is an asset to your team at this branch and for Center State in general. Thank-you Jessica for being you!!

I was overdrawn on the 5th and they SENT ME A LETTER that I received on the 12. This bank is a dinosaur.

Went in to deposit money in my ten-year-old bank account and was told the Bank closed her account due to non usage in over a yearThey then explained that they've kept all of her money that we deposited over $100. I asked to speak to a manager and someone came over and said well you signed the contract when you open the account and we have the right to take your money I explained it is a Minor's birthday money and ask for a credit which was refused. The manager if that was a manager I'm not sure was very cold and Unapologetic we will not be returning and our neighbor have closed their account based on what had occurred. I could not believe the poor customer service and nasty attitude

Worse place ever, you call them tell them you want overdraft protection , they tell you it's on your account but ever time your account is over draft they charge you, and when you call again they tell you , you never had it....after the girl that answered the phone told you , you do have it.... Davenport office is the worse they need training on how to work their system.

The worst bank that I never seen, that manager on this branch is really horrible, I request for do not have any overdraft protection on my account, they just put something without authorization, They steal from my account 390 dollars in week and a half, they don't have any effective alert, they send letter to make more time, they are specialist stealing money, the worst bank that I never seen before , I will start a process on Better Business Bureau against this poor branch and the bank, the manager needs to get a customer service seminar to learn how to treat the customers
