This is the place to go! It's one of the few locally owned pawn shops in Anchorage and Dan is the man! He makes it a point to never deal with criminals, and makes that very obvious from the sign on the door and the gun strapped to his chest. You never know what you'll find here, but the tool selection is pretty amazing. Good music stuff and outdoor gear. No credit card (boo!)... But he has an ATM.

I have known Dan for many years. I have purchased many, many tools from him, and always felt comfortable that he was providing me a quality product at a very fair price. I no longer live in Alaska; however, Dan & I still correspond fairly regularly and plan to stay in touch as friends. I have recommended his shop to numerous friends & co-workers and they too have rated their experiences with him as positive.

What a horrible experience. The owner makes you very uncomfortable by talking about other more important customers and taps his gun in his holster and smokes a cigarette to intimidate while doing business. After he rips you off he then tells you how great he is. I would avoid going there again and I warn you who read this as well.

Really nice customer service and rock bottom prices for their items. I really like the friendly service they have and the cool items you cant find anywhere else but only at their pawn shop. I always go to the small room and just look at the cool things he's collected. I hope that Kicker amp doesn't get bought immediately. I want it! Dan the man, please save it for me!

I like Dan. He is always fair with his prices and free with his wit. If you have some time and want to check out an old fashion pawn/trade and loan business go meet Dan. As far as selling stuff to a pawn broker, please remember that any shop needs to make a profit, sometimes stuff sits for years before it sells. The cash gained from the sale of any item can be used immediately. If you want to hold on and try to sell something there is always classifieds. But, if you want cash now, use a pawn shop.

The reason I politely passed on Spikes bike is because I believed it was STOLEN! It was not the same speed he told me the day before and other information did not add up. So there you have it! I refuse to take property I think is stolen! Been in Business 30 years as of May 2017 and I have hundreds of steady regular customers. Some of them for way over 20 years. Overpriced and grouchy old man that will let you know he’s watching you over an intercom in the other buildings. Like he’s cutting you down before you can even think of stealing. Wasn’t our plan we needed a tool to work on a car. My father comes back once every few years just to see and always comes back dissatisfied. We’ve also seen the tap on the gun thing and the boasting. Look at his replies “been in business 30 years” “since 1980s” just because you’re around doesn’t mean you’re as good as all that. We are advid pawn shoppers and he’s our worse experience

I have no idea who TTwo is or why he/she posted such a disturbing lie? I have been in business since May of 1987. I have NEVER "tapped my gun or smoked a cigarette to intimidate" anyone!
