Southern Heritage Bank E Oak St, Jena

Much heftier monthly account fee than all of the other surrounding banks. Tellers are usually polite, but everyone who works on the inside is just plain terrible to have to deal with. Also, the Presidents wife came in the hair salon screaming and raising hell one day bc people were parked in front of a storage people they have. Run by purely distasteful people. Others have said you need good credit to open an account here. I've always bank with Homeland, but wow, just one other reason to avoid this bank.

I recently tried just opening a regular checking account here, im confused as to why your credit score has anything to do with opening an account you are putting YOUR money in and not asking for credit?!?! My employer banks with them and it would be alot easier to bank this way but unfortunately I was turned away with no real explanation other than this is just how we do things. I went back to work and told the guys at work about it and they said thats odd because we just took money right in and opened an account in the past. I called back again to understand better on what my credit score has to do with depositing money in a bank and was told the same exact thing "THAT'S JUST HOW WE DO THINGS". Well I won't be doing business here for sure!!!!

I have been banking with Southern Heritage Bank for over 40 years and they have always been there for me.

I've done lots of banking business in my life, but never have I ever done business with a bank that has treated me with respect & kindness like this bank. All due to Ms Gayla Warren, the most professional & respectful person in the banking business. Unbelieveable what this lady can do in serving anyone's banking needs. She restores the lost golden banking term "Your Friendly Banker" to the banking profession. I would like to nominate Ms Gayla for employee of the year. She has brought honor to the banking profession. Thank you Gayla for your great help. A job professionally & rapidly well done. Thank you.

I have used this bank for years. Through my lean years to my green years, this bank has been there for me. Everyone is and always has been so helpful and friendly. This is why I would never bank anywhere else.

Love my Bank! Got all the same conveniences as a big bank.
