Sol's Jewelry & Loan N 16th St, Omaha

Downtown Sol's has a helpful staff that don't BS around. They are always able to work with you on the price of something and are easy to talk to. The downtown location has a ton of musical equipment, tools, jewelry, and firearms. Out of all their locations this one has the best quality stuff and most knowledgable staff by far. Note that there are two separate buildings on opposite sides of the street.

Most of the stuff they sell they're trying to get the same price as if it was brand new I've taken $1,000 diamond ring into sols and he would only let me borrow 50 bucks I know if I sold it to him that he would be asking $1,000 or close to it to sell it that's how sol's roles.

Not a bad place. Only thing is they value things way too high for some merchandise. Tools especially. You have a better chance getting them at home depot and lowes. I like how their ticket will say. 125 be marked at 79 knowing its msrp is actually 15 to 20 less and only probably giving 20 to 25 on the pawn or loan. But its a pawn shop what do you expect they have to make money and have alot of over head.

They are very kind and helping and very polite and with some other customers I noticed that they helped carry things out that was a somewhat heavy items and they were polite with people who were selling them things

Of all the Sol's locations this is by far the best. The customer service was amazing. I was looking for a camera for my daughter and they had a huge selection and the young lady who helped me went out of her way to bring out every model that was similar to what I was looking for and let me try them out. I've been to most of the other locations in town and i have to search out help to look at items and ask questions but not this location they're on top of things!!!!!

To be honest I'm right between a dislike and it's ok. It's a pawn shop yes I know, but it isn't hard to keep the place clean update the counters vacuum the entire store. Yes people bring things from homes mostly that have scents to them. Go buy some air purifiers have them all over the store that will help! Some of their procedures are different than what I'm used to compared to other places in the area.

Terrible service, went to sell an item. Went to the counter where around 4-5 employees were with no customers and no one greeted me or asked if I needed anything. After showing them my tablet they did not even look up what it was worth before offering me 15 dollars. I needed money to get a hotel for the night before I pick up a life insurance check tomorrow. Had they been nice and helped me, I would have returned today to pick my tablet back up and would have purchased some items as well as a way of showing my appreciation. But now instead I'm writing a bad review. Store is old, run down, dirty, and the people are rude. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

We love Sol's downtown. Especially when they run their sales. They love to work with you on their pricing. We try to stop in on a regular basis. You never know what you may find.

Great deals here for DVDs!! If you're looking for some movies they have a great selection at only $1 for the majority. Unless its a series or season collection. They also have a $15 random DVD grabbed. Want to get one but I'm worried I’ll get something dumb haha. Other than that its a normal pawn shop. They offer special interest rates for Active duty military personnel.

Huge selection, if it exists, you can find it here and at a decent price.

Two or three years ago, I had a 4 stroke roto-tiller taking up space in my garage. I went to Sol's and explained what I had and got a reasonable estimated price. I needed a truck to transport it and Sol's went to my home and carried it off for a small fee. Very satisfied how Sol's handled this transaction.

Get treated like a king in there...all the staff is friendly, courteous, attentive, and most importantly fair.....my hats off to all the employees here.....especially gary.....the guys tough....no nonsense.....but, again.....fair....in my opinion, that's all you can ask for in today day and age .... Sometimes too much to ask for it seems....but not here.....

My experience at sols was deplorable. I'm a guitarist, I walked in & noone greeted me. I walked back to the guitar section & sent a text & when I looked up there was a very large black man hovering over me seemingly upset that I was there. He proceeded to ask me what I was looking for (like a criminal would be asked). I told him 4 items I was looking for and he had no clue what I was referring to. Then he screamed across the bay area for "someone with a key come help this guy". When the other guy strolled over, he also had no idea what the items I was looking for were either (patch cable, capo & fx peddle). I found the cable and just wanted to leave. It took this guy about 15 minutes to ring up one item while he was on his phone the entire time. Customer service is atrocious, the knowledge level is non existant, the prices are beyond high & these people are supposed to be able to accurately appraise items for loans? Please,, get real and professional if you are dealing with someone else's money. They lost out on about $1000 I was willing to part with. I am putting aguitar setup together and that could have been very profitable had any of the employees had any knowledge or manners. And forget polite, I'm sure they have never heard of the word. If I could rate below 1 star I fn would. Shame on you unprofessional people.

Sol's offers alot of different products and usually at a very good discounted price. The few times I've sold them something I got a fair deal. They are a great place for tools if you're a contractor. If you pawn something make sure you keep your records.

I shop here often, every one is use to treating crack heads, so that additude gets passed on to everyone. I'm not sure how they could change it's just something you should be aware of. I've never been treated poorly, but you can tell it's different than like people who generally trust or like you.
