I have popped into Silver Lining on several occasions and have always had a pleasant experience. The item selections are carefully hand picked and in great working condition, and the staff are all pleasant and very knowledgeable. I am partial to the jewelry and they have a beautiful selection and also do quality repair. I came in recently for a totally random request, and called ahead of time and spoke to Josh. I have injured my hand, and I had to have my bangle bracelets removed so the doctor could splint my hand/arm. He told me to come on in, and he was amazing. He did bangle surgery for me! 😄 They are special bracelets, varying in types of metals, requiring a different tool to cut, as I wanted to try and salvage for repair. There was a gal there, too, who was delightful and helpful through the process. I'm sorry I don't know her name but she has long dark hair and we were talking about amazing jewelry while Josh was looking for the right tools. He took such good care of me and would Not accept any compensation, and had me in and out of there in no time. Thank You So Much Josh and Silver Lining! I'm so grateful! I'll be back with my broken bangles!

The fast service provided was incredible! The atmosphere of this place is so welcoming! The two people that I had my conversations with gave me the best experience selling my old engagement rings. I highly highly highly recommend this place to pawn or sell the things that aren’t needed in your life anymore!

I love pawn shops but this was my first time selling and it was super easy! These guys are friendly and easy going. I’ll definitely be coming here again to buy some stuff and sell. They have a great assortment of guitars and power tools as well as guns and knives. I know some pawn shops can be sketchy and uninviting but this one isn’t one of those. If you like used or old stuff come here! They also do loans, so that’s pretty rad.

First time taking out a loan like this. Josh helped me set it up, he was very respectful and communicated all the details quite clearly. They seem like nice folks and keep a clean shop. Hope to come back as a buyer soon.

So I was just recently in the store and mind you this wasn't the first time I've been there but I was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything moved firing this Christmas rush. The people who work there are insanely awesome and so welcoming. I would suggest that if you're purchasing something for a loved one as a gift or even for yourself I would look here first. They have the best prices and they only put the best of merchandise on their shelves. You're not going to walk out with a faulty computer or television. I love that they're always willing to work with you on pricing and you don't have to feel like you're being taken advantage of. The one last thing I want to add is that this is the only place in Portland I feel comfortable pawning/loaning my stuff at. I know that if I decide to come back it's going to be just as I left it.

Spencer was very helpful with selling some old jewelry I had no use for. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to sell old jewelry.

Over the many years that I have been going to this business I've never had a negative experience! Highly recommend the Jewelry department, where I have always been assisted by Kay or sometimes another salesperson. In the time I have been using Silver Lining's loan and pawn I have always, without fail, been satisfied with their level of service. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and know the business. I have never felt uncomfortable with any of the offers I ended up contracting for, and are better than the offers from their competitors without fail. They also have a very nice inventory with excellent prices, that are negotiable. I just purchased a tool that I have been wanting for some time, and there it was at $65.00, I couldn't resist, had to have it. Silver Lining Jewelry & Loan has earned my trust over and over again! I started doing business with them about 15 years ago and once again just a week or so ago. They're very helpful and generous when you need money and patient if you need a little extra time to pay it back or renew your loan. Their jewellery department knows their trade, offers reasonable prices and provides world class customer service! Recently, I entrusted them with the task of repairing a family heirloom (my dad's 67 year old wedding ring.) It turned out beautiful and the cost was very affordable. Thank you so much! The selection is wonderful, but most importantly there staff is top notch. There was an issue that happened with something purchased there explained what happened and they fixed the it and made it better than it was. They have a customer for life. I really have to say thank you to both the lovely ladies whom made it possible to have my daughters bracelet done at last minute and it was Christmas. I’m so great full for the lady who has the long hair and works back in jewelry repair area (?). She was truly my savior and my daughter was and is so extremely happy with the choice. There have been many times in my life that I've had to turn to personal loans against various items, the most recent being during and after the pandemic. I've never dealt with a more professional, fair, and transparent pawn shop in my life. Seriously, the majority of shops out there have almost predatory rates and offer no services like loan extensions and txt reminders of due dates. If you need to take out a loan on jewelry, instruments, etc., this is the place. They've also got a well-curated selection of stuff to buy. This store is nothing but quality.

This was my 1st visit to any pawn shop, so I really didn't know what to expect. I had some gold and silver jewelry to sell. The whole experience was much easier than I imagined it would be. The staff was so great to work with! I had scrap gold to sell, and they were so professional and efficient. They gave me a very fair price and I was in and out quickly and on to the rest of my day. I appreciated that they took proper precautions to keep their customers safe and asked in coming customers to use hand sanitizer and stay masked. Would definitely do business with them again!

Great experience at Silver Lining. They were professional, patient and friendly. Went to a number of shops today and by far this place was the cleanest with the best selection. Came back twice and we were helped by Kay who was calm and not pushy at all. She even put something on hold for us without a deposit for two days. Would definitely recommend especially if looking for nice and well priced jewelry. Also great selection of electronics and guitars (just wish I played!)

Silver lining is a wonderful place with excellent jewelry and fantastic customer service. I have been coming here for years and everything I have purchased has been exactly as represented and the prices are phenomenal !! I have referred many people here and they have also all become longtime customers. The store is clean and the array of jewelry nothing short of amazing. And they have jewelry in all price ranges and can also do custom pieces. So glad I found them and would recommend them without reservation.

Me and my husband have purchased several items from Silver Lining but today was exceptional. My husband wanted to trade up on his earring and while he was doing that I saw a wedding set that I desperately wanted! Needless to say they made us a very good deal and we walked out with exactly what we wanted. If your ever in the need of jewelry, this is the place to go. They were very nice and friendly and I truly loved the service that they gave us.

Having done business with these folks for several years for purchases, repairs, loans ect. I must say it has always been a pleasant experience. Josh is great, inparticular but I think really highly of all the staff. Not long ago, I came in with a very sensative and intricate issue, not to mention it was minutes before closing. Josh found a way to take care of me and it really saved the day. Kay, Josh, all of them are good folks, in my opinion and, I appreciate them so much!

My husband stopped by to pick up an item for our son that had been pawned and ended up talking with Kay. My hubby asked about a ring for me. Kay is very knowledgeable regarding precious stones and showed him a beautiful ring which we ended up purchasing. What a great experience it was working through the process with Kay! Then a couple months later I took an old setting into her and had a new ring made with a beautiful garnet. What great service. Thank you Kay! We will be back!
