I was considering multiple local lenders per the advice of my real estate agent, but I had a good experience working with SELFi in the past on a re-finance so I reached out to them a little late in the home buying process. I was already pre-approved with other lenders and I was going to need to close fast. Joseph at SELFi quickly responded and to my surprise even though he was starting out a lot later than the other lenders I was working with, he thought it shouldn't be a problem and he came in with a lower cost loan at a better rate. I'm glad I reached out as we were able to secure the loan and complete all needed steps well before the deadline. Just as a point of reference to how fast SELFi moved, I had also reached out to BETTER.com a week prior to reaching out to SELFI, but BETTER.com had no way to meet the deadline that I was working towards.

With mortgage rates dropping so low in the past couple of years, I have used SELFi twice now to refinance. Both experiences were painless, transparent, and surprisingly quick. Joseph and Kevin are passionate and will go to bat for you in the process. They also provide really impressive rates, and when comparing with others, i found SELFi often had better lender credits at no additional cost compared to the same interest rates at other companies. Of course, these other companies will tell you that they'll match better offers, but I'd prefer to skip that nonsense and work with someone who gives me a great price without making me negotiate.

Your one stop shop for all your refinance needs. Joseph was professional, organized, and patient in explaining everything to me. This is definitely one of my most pleasant refinance experience (I've done a few others before). The online portal for document submission was very convenient and everything went by very fast. I got the absolutely best rate on the market. SELFi is the best.

I have owned several homes and have refinanced loans multiple times over the past 20 years. My recent refi with SELFi was the most seamless and affordable refi experience I have had. Joseph, as CEO, was very responsive via text, email and voicemail. Joseph was knowledgeable and accurate as he prepared me for the expected phases during the process. The entire refi took just under 30 days and that was during a pandemic as well as record volumes of refi activity due to high values and low interest rates. I have and will continue to recommend anyone to use SELFi for their refinancing needs.

Was really happy with my experience with Joseph @ SELFI..First off he was sending correspondence with me up until 11pm so I could lock the rate that I wanted within the 12am deadline. My loan was a little more complicated since I had a 2nd home but Joseph explained exactly what was needed, worked with the underwriters and kept the communication going to I was able to close on my loan (with a great rate:). Joseph provided awesome service made my refinance as smooth as possible. Joseph responds very quickly even I never talked to him over the phone or met him personally. He was very professional. He helps me to finished the refinance mortgage loans at the best rate. One of the best refinancing places I happened to deal with. Happened to get my refinance via SELFi and Joseph was very responsive for the questions I had. Finally he got locked at a much lower rate and ZERO closing costs. All went very smoothly until we had to sign in front of notary. Unfortunately the same day California placed a Shelter at home and despite notary had the appointment scheduled it was cancelled. But Joseph worked his magic and the same week notary came home and got papers signed and the loan was closed. Mind you despite the Fed lowering interest rate, mortgage rates were climbing. I just closed and completed a refi on a personal property with SELFI. This was without a doubt the fastest and most efficient mortgage (standard or refi) I've ever completed (done in less than 14 days). Joseph and Jake were absolute professionals! The communications (all by email, using their easy-to-use platform, and not one phone call necessary!) was incredibly efficient, quick, and to-the-point. They were always available. Every question was answered and any concern I had was dealt quickly and respectfully. The lesson I'd leave with any consumer when it comes to navigating with mortgage lenders and applying for a mortgage (especially a refi) is this -- get your paperwork in order, be responsive to every request they make for more data, and you'll help make the process and closing as smooth as possible. What made it work well for all is that SELFI has learned the art of streamlining a process that's usually a muddy mess, slow as molasses, and still stuck in the 1990s. Great job SELFI for helping my wife and me meet our refi goal quickly and fairly. Kudos!

Joseph was great the whole way through. I thought communication was going to be primarily email based, but he called me as soon as I submitted the application. He continued to take my calls and questions and kept me updated as to our progress. He helped me understand the options available to ensure I was making the best decision for my family. Even after the deal closed I reached out to him with an issue receiving my disbursement check. It was not his responsibility, and there was nothing he could really do about it. That said, he reached out to his contact at Rocket and helped me get a new check issued and in the mail that same day. He's a nice guy and makes the process as stress free and efficient as possible. I could not be more pleased.

Joseph was a pleasure to work with on my refinance and got me the best rate after I checked several other lenders such as better.com. He made the process clear and straightforward and was always quick to respond to a couple of questions I had by email. Almost entire process was done remotely except for 10 minutes to sign required documents with notary safely with masks on my front porch. Almost all documents were able to be e-signed. Joseph also covered the cost of extending the rate lock for an additional week after there were some unavoidable delays due to my work HR department and homeowners association being out over the holidays. Joseph helped save me a lot of money and I highly recommend!

I found SELFi after searching for an online refinance option with low cost of entry so to speak. I liked the idea of showing transparent rates and allowing customers to directly search for loans based on their needs (without having to necessarily talk to anyone). But if your not sure like I was, I just talked to Joseph directly because with his experience he narrowed down my loan needs very quickly. I was able to get a no fee refinance and lowered my monthly payment by about $200 at the same time, which met my needs well. The refinancing experience was very fast and smooth. Joseph was very professional and responsive making sure my questions were answered thoroughly (by email and phone) before proceeding with next steps. I appreciated the ease of uploading all the documents straight through the Selfi app portal, really made things easier. He also walked me through the process with Quicken loans so that we could make sure we closed on time. Over all the whole process took about 2 weeks start to finish. I am so glad I found SELFi and I will definitely keep them in mind next time I purchase not refinance

We did refi with SELFi twice. Both times, the whole process was easy, smooth and efficient. Joseph was responsive and extremely helpful - he jumped on the call with us and explained everything after we emailed him a bunch of questions. SELFi's platform is also easy and intuitive to use, it makes the whole refi process so straightforward and simple. Also worth mentioning - SELFi's website provides so much transparency for the refi process and its blog was such incredible resources for us. We're very happy with SELFi and definitely recommend it to everyone.

Just close my refinance few days back. Was looking to refinance my home loan. I was shopping around. Got estimate from other companies and initially went with better.com as they were giving me better rate and credit. I gave deposit to better.com; but even after 2 weeks they did not do appraisal. In the mean time, Joseph contacted me and offered me lower rate and higher credit. I accepted that offer and moved to Selfi. The offer was compensating my deposit with better.com and giving me lower rate. The very next day, appraisal for my property was done. It took 3 weeks to close, after I accepted the offer (better.com did not do my appraisal even after 2 weeks). Throughout the process, Joseph was so responsive and made it smooth. He is honest and will not hide anything from you. The best part during this refinance process was, everything was done right from our house. The closing agent came to our house and took our signatures :). I would highly recommend Selfi to anyone looking to refinance their loan. For those, who are thinking twice about online refinancing, I would suggest them to do refinance online. It will not only save your time, but also you will get better rate.
