Security Bank & Trust Co. 1st St, Winsted

Don't accept checks or money orders drawn on these banks. Our businesses will not. We received a money order from one of their customers, issued by Security Bank, for payment for materials we sell. Having had problems in the past the customer got a money order, I called Sharon at the Winsted location, she checked with others and confirmed that there would be no fee and no issues cashing the money order at any of their locations. However when I stopped by their Chaska location Alex Hoese she said there would be a $20 charge, even after I showed her my notes from my conversation with Sharon. After waiting 20 minutes Alex agreed to cash the money order but said that Security Bank would no longer honor checks or money orders we get, drawn on their bank.

I have had nothing but great service from Security Bank & Trust in Winsted. I have a savings account, a business loan and a business checking account. Everyone I've dealt with has been extremely friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this bank. Terri Birrenkott

We have an account at this Bank only for depositing rent money for our landlord to withdraw monthly. This Bank does not accept transfers from any other banks, and there are no free services such as money orders. The latest they close is on Friday at 4:30 p.m., otherwise it is 3:30 p.m., which makes it very difficult to utilize this bank if you work a Monday through Friday job.

My debit card was not working while I was on vacation. I called seriously 7 times as I had no access to cash. Each time was I was advised try again it was reset no it did not work. Was told after time 6 they would call debit card company. Now 7 days later on Friday night still no access to cash. I have been with this bank 28 years they have zero customer service. I just had a 9 day vacation with no cash. Will moving saving ASAP to have access to cash.

Had one issue with them when I first moved to town they did not want to let us open up a joint bank acc with me and my gf and roomate. Said they couldn't do that cause our lic. Didnt match on the adress which shouldnt matter it's an acc with 3 people adress or that dosnt matter had to show them the lease to the house with all our names on it to open an acc which was bizzar but no other issues decent bank I guess

This bank was the most disrespectful bank. They do not say thank you, they never smile and If you dont have an account, they just turn you away, but they aren't very quick to offer one. I was thinking about getting an account with them but screw that. DO NOT GO TO THIS BANK Bad bad customer service
