Malibu had a recall a year ago January. Took it into Scranton Chevrolet on West Thames Street and left it for the whole day. Called three times to see if it was ready and was told it was not. When I finally went at the end of the day they informed me they never had the part so they did nothing to the car and it sat there all day. Well In March they finally got the part and again the car went in and this time fixed. Now I get a card from them telling me their technicians recommend suspension service and transmission service! Take this vehicle to our mechanic, who we have dealt with for the last 15 years, twice a year to be sure it is good condition as I don't know that much about cars. Had this car in November and was told the car was in good shape. The mechanic that worked on it commented on how good this 2013 Malibu with only 23,000 miles on it! Sounds like they want to do repair work on a car that is in good working condition. Scare tactics trying to make me feel this car needs work when I know darn well it does not!. They should have been more concerned with fixing that year old recall that could have been a serious problem and not trying to get me to do repairs that were not needed. Would never go there again and never buy a vehicle from someone that untrustworthy!

Called and was scheduled for a recall repair within a couple of days. Three separate repairs were done that day. Fast, professional, great service. Unlike Gengras in E.H. where I was told repairs could not be schedule until 3 weeks out. And no parts on hand, in house. Will be taking all my future business to Scranton Chevy. Unfortunately they have a very charming sales team. I purchased a 2018 Trax from them with roughly 20,000 miles. Within months I was already in their service department for an issue common with that year- yet it still took them two visits to fix it. Every time I went in for an oil change it was hours and I always went with kids. I felt as if something was constantly wrong and at one point even towed the car to the service department after it wouldn’t even start. It stayed there a week for them to tell me it was a loose pin holding the fuel pump and nothing was actually broken and I would have to pay for the $1000 in labor (when I’d been paying for warranties). The best they could do was offer to buy the car back way below KBB and a payment plan for the labor. After putting less than 30,000 miles on it I learned my lesson: their sales team is overbooked, they do not care about you just your money, and their cars are overpriced lemons waiting to fall apart.

Took my car due to a service check engine light and turns out my vehicle has other issues that were discovered when they took my car. They called to make sure everything was covered under warranty which thank goodness it was and they even got me a rental while my car as being serviced.

Not once but twice ed withheld the truth in lending from me , I noticed that there was no key fob and asked who was going to reimburse me for buying one and was immediately met with a rude response, I had to wait a almost week to take delivery, they didn't even show me how to start the on- star subscription . Appointment for service made easily on line. Arrived a little early, met by a smiling young lady who checked me in expediently. Waiting area was quiet and comfortable with complimentary coffee. Service was completed in a timely manner. Received a video summarizing the service, which was a first after 36 years as a Chevy owner. Was out the door with a completed service, wash, and interior vacuum. Found a new dealer to patronize when in the area for our summer getaway.

I am consistently let down by the service department. Three weeks ago I dropped my Silverado off for an oil change. When I called to see if it was done and ready to be picked up before closing they had not gotten to it. This caused me to be without a vehicle for two full days and was barely given an apology. They noticed a leaking oil cooler line and scheduled an appointment for this issue three weeks later. I dropped my vehicle off again for a 9:00 am appointment. I called at noon to get a status and was told that the truck had not been in the shop yet. I called back at two to see if there was any progress. Still nothing. I called at 4 and spoke to the service manager to be told that the parts for the truck were not even on site. They got the truck done the next day, again without a truck for two full days. This is the third time a simple service took more than one day and nothing was given in return besides an apology. Scranton NEEDS to get their service department in check

The dealership was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. I was there with a 5 year old and they were patient. Kamila was the sales person and was helpful. I negotiated the price and options and then went back the next evening to sign the paperwork. Everything was as promised. They gave me a good value on my trade-in and a fair deal on the purchase. The financing process was clean and easy and transparent. No gimmicks and no games. I also like the follow-up from their service department. Oil changes aren't 2x what they should be and everyone was friendly. If you go here with a clear idea of what you want and a reasonable price, they will treat you well and meet your expectations. I also really value being able to bring my new truck to the dealer for service and it is not a one and done interaction.

I paid almost $500.00 dollars to get my car fixed a day after my car broke own, now I clearly told them at the dealership to find out the reason my card engine light was on also it was showing on my dashboard screen that ANTI THEFT was on meaning it was the computer system who was acting up because my key stater broke . If I go directly to a dealership trusting them with my car specially nowadays when financially it’s hard for everyone hoping to get my car fix with the little that I have I was expecting to get it fix not patched. I will never go back to the dealership or trust this company anymore it’s sad considering that I have been going there since I purchased the vehicle.

I’d been researching third row vehicles for nearly a year when I decided that my heart was set on a Honda Pilot. I came across one on Autotrader.com at Scranton Chevy, and decided to take it for a test drive. I really liked the car, so I put down a deposit to hold it and decided to go back a couple days later to apply for financing. Kamila was the sales woman I worked with, and she was absolutely fantastic! Although this is a Chevy dealership, it was clear that she took the time to learn about the Pilot so she could walk me through all the features and technology it had, which was extremely helpful as I was going from a base model Jeep with very few technological advancements to a top-of-the-line vehicle. She was very transparent and honest, and the finance manager Ed was equally so. He broke down all the numbers for me so that I understood every detail of the financing aspect, and got me an even lower payment than what I had initially aimed for. I also would like to recognize Mike from the service department for helping out with some questions I had along the way during the initial test drive. He even made it a point to see me as I was leaving the dealership in my new vehicle to congratulate me, and that he was available if I ever had any questions about the car once I took it home. It was instantly apparent that the employees at Scranton care about their customers, and they made the experience extremely pleasant. This was not my first rodeo with buying a vehicle from a dealership, and I was never blown away with the service I had received from other dealers in the past. I have found that some dealers are very pushy, and just trying to make a sale. However, Scranton Chevy sheds a whole new light on car dealerships, and it is obvious that their top priority is customer satisfaction. They TRULY provided a top-notch experience throughout the entire process. If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, I highly recommend them!

Bought a certified pre-owned Colorado that I absolutely love. This dealership is very orderly and inviting and I really enjoyed the whole experience. All the staff that I interacted with were very personalable and organized. They had numerous options already available for me to extend the warranty just as I wished. I came in for a oil change and tire rotation. The video I received from the tech said the oil change and rotation are complete. He said in the video that the valve cover was leaking which I suspect is left over oil from my last visit because I was told the tech dumped oil in the engine compartment, and they cleaned it as best they could. When I left the I noticed that the left rear tire was at 31 psi which was the same as it was when I went in. When I got home, I read the vehicle inspection and there is no mention of a valve cover leak and all the tires were set at 35, which was untrue because the left rear tire was and still is at 31. So, what cost $58 on all previous visits now costs $122 and your honesty and workmanship are suspect.
It seems like we missed the mark for you on this service dbulkey. Either through communication or action we are looking to do better for you next time around. We hope you provide us the opportunity. The Scranton Family

Bill Buswell was a good salesman. He didn't pressure my husband or I into anything we didn't want. He was flexible when plans kept changing. He made sure our truck was gassed up and detailed. He answered our questions as honestly and quickly as possible. He hounded the shop fixing the truck constantly for updates with and without our request. We liked our finance manager as well. He was honest and upfront and negotiated a great apr on the fly for us. He made us feel comfortable with the purchase we were making. From a point of view of owning 2 cars, at this chevy dealership I did not receive the upmost care when it comes to vehicle service compared to other companies. I did not receive a detailed report for my tread depth, brake life or any information of current tire alignment as part of the multipoint inspection. So this does affect my point of view in a continuous negative trend. Have a 2020 chevy bolt, still no new battery, and sever reduced range in winter, only 120mi usable. Very disappointed in chevy and GM paid 42,000 for a car and only get that range. Could of stayed with my trade and I was getting 500 miles to 600 miles per tank fill up.

Spoke with an associate named Brennan who was very rude. He referred to me as homie and spoke to me in a very condescending manner. I asked if I would be able to get my lug nuts replaced and he made a comment about his workers not doing it for free when I mentioned several times I would be paying for it. I also did not understand why he assumed I would not be paying for the service. He proceeded to tell me that if I wanted the lug nuts replaced I would also have to purchase tires from the dealership which to my knowledge is not true. I did not appreciate the service I received from Brennan. I am not his “homie” and found it to be offensive that he assumed I wanted free service. I appreciate that Tammy assisted me with my service after my awful encounter with Brennan.

Staff is friendly and dealership is pretty clean. Thank goodness for the kids waiting area. Stayed for an oil change, tire rotation and light bulb change. After over an hour and a half later, they hadn’t started the bulb change and advised me it was going to be a lengthy process so I opted out of it at that point since my toddler was over being there. Come to find out, after being there for almost 2 hours for just the oil change and tire rotation, the tech didn’t bother to adjust the tire pressure sensors so they’re all mislabeled. They are habitually slow there for services rendered; not the most convenient.

Tried screwing me on an alignment. Paid for it, get it home and look at it, alignment bolts were still factory paint line matched. Bring it back and immediately got attitude from Tammy at the desk. Explained the situation and said all I want is an alignment or my money back. Spoke to a manager, made a new appointment. Get it back in, now they can't due an alignment due to a bent control arm they said. And to top it off I was told my steering rack bolts needed a software upgrade... seriously! So I leave, take my car to a different gm dealership and in and out perfect alignment with no bent control arm and steering rack bolts taken care of per tsb. I get home and email owner stating what happened and he was polite in returning my email and getting my money back promptly. He himself id give 5 stars to. The dealership 1 only because I have to. Other bad experiences buying, and more servicing which I had to call regional gm rep about, which is a story for another day. I buy 2 vehicles every 3 years, and have since switched dealerships for service and purchasing and no issues further to date.

Was an interesting experience. My husband and I really appreciate the length Dominick went to to make us happy customers...we weren't the easiest. Ron was our salesman, and quite possibly one of the nicest and most patient people I've ever met in customer service. We loved him. And, the car is exceptionally clean and very well priced. I bought my Corvette 2012 Z06 from Scranton Chevrolet in early March. The car was pristine with only 2,330 original miles on it. Yesterday I went back for an oil change and to have a Corsa Xtreme axle back exhaust system installed. Mark is great to deal with and the quality of the installation was superb. The exhaust tips are perfectly aligned, look fantastic, and the system has a deeper, throatier, and louder growl than the stock exhaust. I couldn't be happier.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Scranton and was extremely satisfied with their staff. They are completely straight forward with you and what you see is what you get. Some people may not like that approach, but I can definitely appreciate it. They didn't waste my time, and the sale was simple. I will say however, don't expect much when it comes to the extras. You will get what you pay for and they are fair. It certainly makes for a quick and easy sale if that's what you are interested in and I imagine if you visit a car dealer, then you are. If you're not, you should be... It's refreshing!

I don't know if anyone reads this because I've said so many things and it has never been questioned. The final incident this time is my tailgate was fixed and the wrong insignia was put on (LT. I have an RST). Someone was suppose to get back to me when a new insignia was ordered. No one did. I tried to order one from Parts myself. They stated they didn't sell it. I would have to order one on line. I did. Weeks later I made an appointment and brought it in to get the one I bought installed. One got installed. It was from the dealership. They never told me they got one for me. I just happen to come in for an appointment I made for the one I purchased. Again, no communication from the dealership. More money I unnecessarily spent. I will be going to a different Chevy dealer and probably will by a Ford after this. Thirteen Chevy vehicles and 30 years down the drain.

We were headed to Florida from Connecticut and the check engine light came on. It was late Saturday so I went on line and made the first available appointment for Tuesday. The people at Scranton Motors especially Tammy stepped up and got the problem fixed. In these times of part shortages around the globe she was able to find the parts we needed and got us back on journey before the end of the week. Things couldn't have work out better for us.

I have visited for routine maintenance since purchasing my 2015 Chevy Impala and have been very pleased with every aspect of those visits. My only disappointment is that Chevy has discontinued making Impalas.
