Schmitt Title, LLC E Main St, Wautoma

My realtor choose this title company. I will not let that happen again. I'm sure most of their services and title work goes straight forward and boiler plate. However My deal was more complicated and I had some issues and I needed more customer service than the average person would. They would not work with me they were straight forward in telling me I was wrong and that I couldn't be helped. Turns out all I had to do was talk to the right person and push the title company into doing what I needed done. Title companies can insure over judgments and I guarantee you this place will not. When I walked through their office door and face-to-face asked for help. The man looked at me and said out loud to everyone. "don't worry about it I'll handle him" I knew I was going to dislike this place. Whenever somebody tells you they're going to "handle you" you might as well just turn around and walk out and save your breath. I worked with a lawyer and my contact at the bank, and they got done what I needed. I moved forward in life and I will not say that was because of Schmitt Title. Right up to the last stroke of the pen, schmitt title was resistant and a pain to work with. It's too bad they don't remember what it's like to work for someone and help, rather than just slide everything across their desk the same old way. I think they are just to big of a company to care.

Nice people. Had paperwork ready and walked me through the process. Took a week to get the check but other than that it was a good experience.

Our closing was a desaster! Bunny, our realtor from First Weber, did not convey all terms of Buyers contract to Linda at Peoples Mortgage in Oshgosh. So when sat down AFTER seller had signed her paperwork we were told that the numbers were short & we needed another $3000 +! Both myself & my husband had made multiple calls over three weeks questioning everyone involved regarding the numbers we were receiving. Less than 24 hrs before closing Linda from the mortgage company had called with final number to bring to closing! Needless to say 8 hours later we finally closed after they decided how to handle it! And we agreed to the change, being required at the closing table to resign an amendment to "buyers" contract!
