Santander Bank Branch Berlin Tpke, Newington

Tried to open a checking account, I already have another account with them. I just moved to Connecticut so my address wasn’t updated on my license. Not the lady who was trying to help me but her manager or coworker or something was INCREDIBLY rude and snippy towards me, acting as though I was trying to commit a crime or something just because my address wasn’t updated. She looked at me like I was stupid for even trying. I don’t know if she was discriminating against me because of my age, how I was dressed, because it was late in the day, I don’t know. But it was absolutely unacceptable. On top of this I was literally able to open an account by myself online so I don’t understand what the issue was. I will never be going to this branch again because of how they treated me and I recommend you don’t go either if you have any respect for yourself.

Did a quick deposit ..in and out no waiting in long lines like other banks

First time there to cash a check drawn by an account holder who I sold a car to. l walked up to a gentleman teller who was very cordial and helpful. He suggested the checking account promotion while checking my ID etc for the check cashing and I took the information with me to review at home. Here's the turnoff, I was informed of a six dollar charge by the 2nd teller , a miss Ruiz for the cashing service .The gentleman teller suggested teller number two, wave the charge, that was received with obvious negative atidute and body language by miss Ruiz that showed how anoyed she was. I will not do any business with a bank that has atidute issue employees or charges you to give you money owed to you by their account holders.

This is the best bank I have ever dealt with. I had issues with Liberty Bank, Peoples Bank, and another bank that closed last year. The 3 of them treated me like a criminal when a customer of mine bounced a check to us. Santander Bank always treats me and my business, like royalty. If a problem arises, they work with you to fix it, rather than boot you out the door, like most others, so long as you are a responsible person. If you are a criminal, no bank should work with you.

I've been to this Bank twice already and they cant cash a check that was written to me after i showed them my id. I dont have an account so they make it more difficult. I drove 45 minutes to get to this bank. Dissapointed and horrible customer service. Now i know why i woudnt put any of my money in this bank.
