Frank, my Mortgage Banker, was patient and easy to work with from the first phone call. Every interaction with him was great, but one stood out the most. I had told Frank I was looking at a different bank due to finding a lower interest rate. Frank did what he could to make everything work, however, the numbers from the competitor were still favorable and I decided to move things forward with that bank. Frank, graciously understood. As I started working with the other bank, I found they were not as responsive nor did they give the insight that Frank did. Frank thoughtfully called back, just to check in, and I came running back to him at Sandy Spring Bank (even though the interest rate was higher). I could not imagine working with the other lender. I'm so grateful that my first home buying experience was with Frank as he made everything easy to understand, which in turn made me comfortable. I truly felt he was looking out for my best interest.

My name christina green and I’m am Mr Larry McMillian client let me start off by saying I’m glad to have McMillian working with me with my purchase a home process. He is very professional and nice in what he do. It don’t matter if it morning or night I can always depend on mr McMillian to answer any concern I may have or help me out through the process. He been there through every step and also he always kept me inform and updates with the process of purchasing a home and loan. He is a awesome guy who know his work no questions ask. Larry McMillan was very professional, well educated on the loan process. He was there night or day to help me along the way with my loan process. Closing was a piece of cake. Thanks Larry for your hard work and dedication.

Having Larry McMillan as my loan officer was one of the worst decisions I could of made. His lack of professionalism and ability to do important things in a timely manner frustrated me the most. It was several times I would call ,text and email without a response. I never could get a straight answer I was basically in the dark about the progress of my loan. Another incident that topped it off is two days before closing I called him while doing a walk through to see if everything was a go and he informed me no.Keep in mind I was in contact since June 28,2021 and my closing date was supposed to be August 20,2021. I literally had to reach out to him to find out I wouldn’t be closing.Larry had ample amount of time to get this deal done but dragged it out unnecessarily. I had to go over top of him in order to get this deal done thanks to Malcolm Hollensteiner. Time after time Larry showed that he didn’t really care and also made the most disrespectful statement claiming we from the same place. I guess because we are both African American and grew up in New York I should give him a break. I have never been more offended that someone with the same ethnicity would pull the race card on me. I’m truly disgusted with my experience with Larry as a first time home buyer and would never recommend him to anyone.

Had a very bad experience with Larry McMillan. He was evasive and not responsive as closing approached. He was not upfront about my interest rate, appraisal and then did not make getting my loan transferred to a better lender a priority. Highly disappointed, I would never use this bank for any reason.

Larry McMillan and his team at Sandy Spring Bank were thoroughly professional, knowledgeable and available throughout our entire experience. If We had to do it all again, we would request the same team of players. They were a true team!!! My husband and I are grateful to have partnered with Larry McMillan.

One of the few Banks left that still charges Overdraft Fees. ($37). Does not send regular statements- just surprise overdraft letters and fee deductions. . Not user friendly for personal accounts. Avoid at all costs. Unhelpful over the phone. Closing all accounts and banking elsewhere. Would give the zero stars if the system allows.

Mr. McMillan is the right move. This gentleman is most patient, informative, professional easy going Banker to work with. I highly recommend! You are definitely in the right hands with Mr. Larry. He will definitely make your entire process smooth and stress free, and he always responds promptly. I'm very grateful to have been able to work with Mr. Larry, thank you!
