First I wasn't told about the rate increase for 2nd home mortgage even though the new regulation occurred 2 weeks before I signed the earnest money deposit so I was stuck paying 1% higher rate than I expected (had pre-approval letter but rate wasn't locked in) or else lose my earnest money. I also had a lot gray hair come on because since this company doesn't accept crypto, and all I did was sell $60k worth of stocks and put it in stablecoin for interest reasons. They wouldn't accept it saying they don't accept crypto money even though my bank statement show I got the money from stocks and was transferred in the same month to my crypto account.

Nick Onstad-Hawes was extremely transparent, diligent and helpful throughout the experience of closing my mortgage loan. I switched to Sammamish Mortgage late in the process and they were able to fully close my loan in under 2 weeks while saving me a bunch of money!

We have used Sammamish Mortgage many times and each experience has been phenomenal. Each loan application has started with Ryan Shane, one of the owners of the company. His communication with me is close to instant during the initial phase and then his staff keeps the same high standard throughout the entire loan process. It's been a few years since our last loan and I was thrilled at the ease of submitting documents and using docusign to fill our our loan paperwork, removing the annoying task of scanning paper documents and faxing or emailing. What used to be a very difficult process has now become quite easy. My brother recommended Sammamish Mortgage to me and I won't use anyone else now.

I narrowed down my choice to 2 lenders and ended up going with Sammamish because their rates and fees were transparent. Overall well executed with an excellent loan officer despite some challenges along the way. The loan processor, Karen, was challenging to work with - she was hard to reach and communicate with, didn't read or review documents or information given to her and even went as that as to be flat rude on one occasion. With that said, my loan officer, Trevor, was awesome. He was extremely easy to talk to and listened to concerns and addressed them in a timely manner. I sincerely believe that him going the extra mile - throughout the whole loan process - is what caused this loan to close. I would definitely highly recommend Sammamish mortgage and Trevor specifically.
