S & S Recovery Reviews

Nobody likes to have to deal with debt collectors and it’s weird that I’m writing a five star review but I have to give credit where it is due. I have been working with a sweet lady named Debra and she’s always polite and understanding. Because of this I am able to take care of a student debt that has been lingering for some time pretty quickly and get the rest of my credits from said institution transferred in.

These folks are not professional. They are scammers . Everytime you make a payment there is always an issue. How can you dispute a transaction after it been months since it went through? Nick Moore is an absolute rudest person. I always deal with him or Jason who acts just as Nick rude and unprofessional but want your money? I don’t give my money to scammers! These universities need to stop using these folks 3rd party scammers. Nick and Jason aren’t worth you giving money to !

This will be the weirdest review which I have ever written. I have a lot of student debt — as most Americans do —. S&S Recovery were so professional, and understanding that I just called them to see if they would take over my other debt. I swear to the gods that it would have been better to pay them for all my debt than anyone else. The receptionist — whose name I do not know — is extremely kind. Ms. Rose is the best at customer service, and there was a gentleman — whose name I have forgotten, and to whom I apologize — with whom I worked a few times, and he was just as kind. They set up a monthly payment based on my job (I am a server), so it was easy to work with them. If tips were bad one month, they were understanding, and kept tabs on how tip-flow worked. A debt is never a great thing (please vote, people), and the whole monolith is tearing our economy down; however, if creditors, and debtors were even half as understanding as S&S Recovery is, then we would not have a horrid problem on our hands.

Abhorrent communication skills on behalf of the caller, not to mention they had the wrong person when calling us, but would not listen to us when we tried to tell them. Threatened to "sue us into next year" and that "not paying them would stay on our record for 7 years". "Mike" called from a 901 number, refused to let me say more than 3 words without interrupting and said we'd be "served soon". Still no idea who he was trying to reach!

I’m a paying customer for over a year now for a college debt. Everyone has been nice when they call EXCEPT Nick Moore. This gentleman is rude, has threatened me, and so unprofessional. This makes two separate times that I have had a problem with him. I don’t appreciate the way he talks to me. I am a customer who has been paying. Update: They’re still idiots! They lie, a lot! Then “lakeisha” or “lacqueriata” tries to get an attitude saying she she’s been calling—Nope! I hate these people!

I don’t even know how to handle this guy. Not sure of his name but he can’t even talk and sounds asleep every time he calls making it all seem like a scam. Would not give me a name of the collection agency the first time he called on my 21st birthday, the debt was from a high school concurrent course I payed through my high school so not sure who to blame there, but either way I was 16 when this class took place so it should be my moms bill and not mine (not that I would make her pay it but just noteworthy). The guy wouldn’t send me something in the mail the first time, wouldn’t give me a company name. I do NOT feel comfortable giving them my money. And he also called my mother to get my phone number and didn’t explain what he needed it for when my number had been changed 3 times since the 10th grade. My mother thought it was someone from my current school and gave it to them. I am curious every time they call, not because of the money, but bc of how shady and rude this man is.

I have been working with a gentleman name Nick to finish paying off student debt and he has been extremely professional and genuinely cares about me getting my debt taken care of and continuing my education. I am extremely appreciative to be working with him and if you are able to request someone to work with, he would be who I would recommend a million times over!

Uequivically the most unprofessional "business" I have ever encountered. After myself and my attorney providing them with the appropriate documentation that the debt is not owed on my behalf, they continue with their scamming and fraudulent tactics. We have every call and letter saved and documented, yet they do not practice the same record keeping. They are condescending, belittling, and juvenile at best. The ONLY thing they know how to do is hang up the phone when they cannot provide answers to any questions.

I clearly am not the only one who experienced poor customer service. I am ashamed that my university even hired such a bad company to represent them. I contacted them because my watch commander told me they called his phone asking for me which was 2 violations in one. I never authorized them to call my employer not even sure how they got the number and 2 they called a security head quarters phone not very good on their behalf. From the beginning the representative was short and rude she talked in circles majority of the conversation because she did mot want to tell me the type of businees they were. She also rushed me off the phone when i stated im military and my loans are being paid back by the army. I hope other universities realize this company foes not handle business wel and instead of finding something cheap find a company of quality.

Rude. If I could give them a -100 , I would. They said I owe an educational amount because financial aid did not pay for my school. Luckily, I don’t qualify for financial aid due to income and I have a Bachelors degree so their claim was false. Every degree I have was earned with student loans and they are being paid. Then she’s going to threaten me about finding me at my job: Lady, I haven’t been at work in 5 months due to a work related injury so please try to find me there. Rude ass people that have no formal training or education on how financial aid even works. It’s not my fault that she contacted extended family, had a wrong address, has never left a voicemail and says I have fiancial aid when I clearly don’t. I haven’t even attended this school in over two years so why now is she contacting my family? I hope they “try” to cease my assets like another poster because I have nothing for them to get anyways. They have already broken two laws by contacting family and threatening to find me at my job. Luckily, the internet is an amazing tool that states this agency is known for breaking many colemtion rules. This will be reported.
