    One of the worse “” management” companies. May I remind you Rushmore is NOT a Mortgage company!! They service mortgages for mortgage companies!! Once major mortgage companies sell your mortgage to them they manage. They are terrible!! Unprofessional! Greedy . Every time I send a payment in on my “” principle “” it comes up M.I.A . . Now I send this pay as a certified cashier check from a bank send it certified from USPS to sign for and they deliberately hold my check. To keep me from paying my principal down until you get a federal company involved!! Like the FTC or HUD or CFPB or BBB !! This Rushmore is the WORSE!!

    Absolutely horrible! They tell you what you want to hear and NEVER follow up as promised even when you are escalated to the Supervisor. My loan has a 4 year perfect history and all I need is a Subordination Agreement so I can complete the Refinance of my first mortgage which will save me $600 per month and I have been getting the run-a-round for a month! Many conversations and nothing but lies and excuses and misinformation! The decision makers HIDE behind an iron curtain that even the customer service Reps can not get through to them! 38 Years in the banking industry (Mortgage industry specifically - ironic!) and I have NEVER seen such a lack of service or accommodation or lack of regard for customer assistance!!!! It's disgraceful!! I'm now trying to get through to the Presidents office to file a Presidential complaint to try to motivate SOMEONE that can get me what I need! ****STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ****

    My mortgage was bought by rushmore from wells fargo 2 yrs ago. I have been trying to resolve an issue with hazard insurance charges on my escrow account placed by rushmore for over 1.5 years. My condo has a blanket policy in place; had faxed it, emailed it, certified mailed it to rushmore only to be told repeatedy it was never received and continued to be charged for their hazard insurance. Finally, over a year later, they confirmed receipt of the policy and claimed they credited, well first I was told the credit went towards the mortgage loan, then I was told it was credited to the escrow account, so not sure if there was a credit applied to either. The customer service reps were not able to show, verify with documentation, where the partial credit was applied. It is not visible in my online account docs/statements. I spent about 4 hours today working to settle this and still...no resolve. No "supervisor" , who apparently is the only one that can do something about this issue, is available because all of them are in a meeting...and no, I will not hold until they are out of their meeting. We are dealing with a huge investment, asset here. The time and energy I have spent in working to resolve this is unacceptable...for a "partial" credit bc apparently they did not receive the 2nd blanket condo policy doc...time to contact the BBB and move my mortgage to a competent and professional financial instituation. Any recomendations on that would be greatly appreciated!!! And thank you wells fargo for selling my mortgage to a financial anemic institution.

    This company, Rushmore recommended GoodMortgage for me to get a equity loan for a piece of equipment I wanted. I’ve been in the process of acquiring a VA loan since 2/2/22.. I have met all the test and inspections and the loan was supposed to be done in 30-45 days at a locked rate starting 2/2/22. It’s not going to get done by this GoodMortgage com. Thanks Rushmore for the bad advice of who you thought I should do Buisness with. Shame on me for not looking up the reviews on GoodMortgage. They are pretty bad. Most of the reviews say RUN AWAY from this company🥵

    My Mortgage has been bought out by this company and I have been trying to get my relationship manager on the phone for 6 months I have never received a call back from any associate at this company I've faxed them over 75 pages of documents they requested for my loan modification and again all I ever get is letter saying they have never received this information

    If you can avoid using them, do so at all costs!!! Although they are slightly better than Wells Fargo (who sold our load to RLMS) that is not much of a comparison. Called in to try to get a payoff amount and was told that customer service couldn't calculate that, that was the payoff department, "ok, fine transfer me to the payoff department then", I was told "Sorry sir, that department does not accept phone calls". What a weasel way to do business. They will email me a payoff in the next 48 hours. Let me get this straight, I am trying to satisfy a debt I owe you but this is how you handle it? Guess this is how they weasel more money out of people. Disappointing, glad we refinanced to a local hometown bank that doesn't sell their mortgages to outfits like this. Will be glad to get out from underneath them!!!

    All of my experiences were very positive. Whenever i called customer service they were able to answer my questions immediately, and if they were not, they responded promptly once they researched the issue. Although I may have not always agreed with the answer I was confident that the rep was answering truthfully. I refinanced with an alternative lender because Rushmore was unable to eliminate my PMI on the FHA mortgage.

    I am well pleased with the customer service I received from David at Rushmore... he was very knowledgeable of the process & did great research to figure out what was going on with my loan. I am all about customer service. He was trained very well. Thank you David 💕

    Absolutely impossible to speak with someone at Rushmore. They obviously bought my mortgage and are never available to explain extra charges on my mortgage. Are they even legitimate or just loan sharks? Raised my mortgage without due process.

    If your loan gets assigned to this company ! Run ! They are the most unprofessional people I've ever met . I sent a insurance check overnite mail for their signature and they sent it back regular mail ! Needless to say its been almost two weeks and no check ! why would you do business with a company that doesn't care about their clients . I hope your doors close soon ! Ask Countrywide Mortgage if its not possible !

    I refinanced my home in October 14th of 2020, I have a refund coming back, to this date I still can't get my refund, this will be the 7th check to be mailed out, I was in California for business, went by there office, had to ring intercom, was told nobody at office building, they all were working remotely, as I sat in the parking lot, there were employees going and coming from the building and yes ( they were swiping badges ).

    they bought out my loan 6weeks ago, still not one contact from them or any mail or statements, but i did get a foreclosure notice a week after my other loan company said they were selling loan to rushmore, from Rushmore, they said sorry throw it away, and wouldnt let me make payment until now and want to say i owe more on loan than the company that sold loan, added fees that you cant resolve because they do not answer the phone or call back, they just bought out my loan, Nov 21 and finally jan 22 allowed to make payment but it is not correct amount or payoff. BBB i guess is the route to go.

    So yes my grandmothers house payment and she is past due and they wouldn’t let me make a payment and still won’t do now it’s like 6 months behind!!!!! Omg I’m livid!! 😡 and there’s no compassion!! I’ve explained her health and it’s like oh well we need $3500.00 like who the eff has that??

    Rushmore made it impossible to get my pay-off statement in under 5 business days and is most likely going to cause me to miss having this essential document in time for the closing of this property. I had to call several times and email to get anyone to even agree to try to expedite getting me the pay-off document. My primary loan on this property was through SPS and I was able to get the pay-off document instantly on their website by pushing a button. I will never do business with Rushmore...not intentionally any way.

    This company is the worst at service and The best at harassment. Only had my loan for a year before finding and getting a refi. They call constantly even tho your payment is set up online and not late, today they sent a gentleman to serve me a delinquency letter....my loan has been paid off since May. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED, unfortunately my loan was sold to them worst experience ever. They treat you like they own you. Never again!

    Customer service was professional and easy to deal with. Only concern was when they took my loan they never notified my insurance causing me to pay double insurance at a outrageous price. Thank the Lord it's all gonna be refunded I was told.

    so far, not impressed. This is my FIRST month of my loan and they illegally and arbitrarily added an escrow account for $700. I sent them proof I had paid my taxes and my home insurance. Then 3 days later, sent them a copy of my closing disclosure where it says NO ESCROW. They said they still don't have the paperwork, can't find the paperwork, will take 2 days to see my fax from today (other fax sent Friday, 3 days ago which they saw) and they won't remove the escrow account until whoever researches it. From what others say, the promise they will not charge me or send me to collections might be a lie. I'm not happy. In my letter I faxed, I told them they were not professional and it was not fostering a good relationship between them and me. Will see what pans out. Very frustrating.

    Rushmore has been a good company up until this point. During the pandemic they explained that I could delay my loan payments while things are so difficult financially. Just got a call in January that I owe for six months of payments and they are due in two months! This was not explained up front. How are you supposed to make up six months of deferred payments? Very poor explanation of the process by the customer service reps. What appeared to be a good thing has ended up being very difficult.

    Can I give them a 0 star? They have owed me money for nearly 30 days after drafting funds even though payments were not set up. They took this money after my mortgage was paid in full. Despite having a paid off mortgage, despite admitting that they mistakenly took the money, they refused to refund my money for 30 days. I had to place 4 phone calls a week and listened to helpless and powerless agents tell me that I would receive a call from a supervisor. They went as far as to say I would receive a call within 30 minutes. No call. I called the following week and am now told that a check was issued. Despite it being nearly 30 days old they sent it regular mail thus there is no way to track it. All this from a place that bought my mortgage from Bank of America.

    Be careful. This company pushes you over the cliff. Their primary intention is to foreclose on the property. We were able to pay them off, but they returned the funds to the escrow company. Our loan matured 9/1/2020,, but the started collecting default interest since 7/1/2020. Not only that, but they are charging a bogus force placed insurance. They never answer the phone, but when they do, it's just an answering service in India. Soo frustrated.

    I would leave 0 stars if I could. I switched loan companies and they still took out a payment after I switched. Then said they wouldn’t give me a full refund because my new loan didn’t pay escrow off correctly or something. Fine but then every time I called they told me my refund amount was different. The last time I called and told the guy that his response was “hate to say this but it’s been happening a lot” and that was it. Terrible company

    I'm extremely disappointed with Rushmore. They were supposed to pay my property tax on my behalf BUT they forgot, which was found out when I received a reminder from tax collector and the amount has gone up by 20%. When I talked to their tax agent, I was told to make the payment by myself and they would refund the late fee. Unfortunately, after I made the payment as I was told and submitted the refund request, they rejected my request and asked me to talk to tax collector. NOT responsible, NOT accountable, NOT credible!!! If I could post this without giving a star I would.

    Honestly, it is a combination of the way this company operates as compared to how First Bank operated. Rushmore has had my loan for about a year now, and I have never been more miserable. I sent in an escrow difference check to my prior loan management service to keep my escrow down. Apparently that was never transferred and my escrow increased. Not really their fault, but you would think that being a loan management company, they would know what the workings of my escrow, and S.C. tax rates. Unfortunately, neither were the case. My escrow was increased, and now is being increased again because they could not calculate correctly and now my payment is going from manageable to unmanageable. It would not be a big deal, but I was already charged the overage that I already paid, and they still could not get it right. When billing comes, it is always delayed. I usually do not receive my bill until there are 5 days often times less left in the month. When I send in my payment, it often takes the processing center 2 weeks sometimes more to cash my check. Just utter disappointment all around and I would not wish this company on anyone.

    At least I can talk to a person instead of a computer. I would never recommend Rushmore for anything. they have a hard time managing mortgages and the escrow it takes for a whole year. My payment started at 873.00 a month, now 6 years later I am at almost 1100.00 dollars a month. every time I call they say it's a shortage in your escrow. mind you I also did a new home owners insurance to a savings of 1200$. and Had to call them and tell them, as they were going to keep the extra. It's amazing how they are still in Business. But if nobody questions what they are doing they will just keep doing it. The only good thing about them you do get to talk to a person when you call.     During this pandemic I found myself as many other people unemployed. Rushmore let us pay our loan a few days late as my UIB benefits didn't fall where they needed to. Now mind you I'm not talking weeks or months but days. Then I see late charges and when I call to inquire they not only don't care, they won't reverse them. I explained I was told it would be for 4 months and they said nope only 2 and did not inform me otherwise. Just really sad during these hard times companies have to be so greedy and devoid of customer service. Rushmore is no exception!!!

    The worst services ever. I cannot believe how this company is functioning and providing services. We requested a payoff letter in advance to our closing date. It was confirmed numerous times that this would be fulfilled two days prior to our closing date. On the day that the letter was due, I was notified that the request was never actually made. No one took full responsibility for this and I have wasted hours and hours a day trying to reach a manager. None of the agents had any answer and I was just being circled back and forth. I would give zero star if I could. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.

    I can't imagine a more horrible experience than using Rushmore Loan Management Services. My HELOC was transferred to them, I subsequently used my HELOC balance through Rushmore, and then started paying off in sizeable amounts. One month's payment was late by several weeks, due to my not knowing payment wasn't scheduled in their system. Because of the lateness, they suspended my ability to use the account for A YEAR! They said they sent me a letter, but I don't recall ever seeing. I went to use the funds again recently to transfer money to my primary bank and the check bounced due to the account suspension, with my primary bank threatening to close my account over the bounced check. The check had already cleared my bank and I moved some funds around, which created the need to move funds from elsewhere before I was in a major jam. Their website is horrible, they have no ability to transfer funds through their online portal (only by check), and they overdrew on my payments and had to refund me a significant amount. DO NOT USE THIS INSTITUTION!

    Rushmore Loan Management doesn't care about their customers at all. We're all going through a pandemic and the best option they could provide on our mortgage payments was that we didn't need to pay the mortgage for three months... except after the 3 months were over, we would have to pay the ENTIRE 3 months of mortgage and the interest on top of that. They're not even pausing on the interest accrual. If a family is having difficulty covering one month of mortgage payments, what makes you think they're going to magically come up with three months worth of mortgage payments and pay it all off after that? Apparently it's the "best that they can do." It's tone-deaf, insensitive, and downright patronizing that they don't offer to work with their clients more. You would think there would be some leeway considering many people are having an extremely difficult time covering bills. Will definitely be refinancing after this. DO NOT sign up your mortgage with this company. There's a lot of one star reviews on this company for a reason.

    Leaving one star because leaving zero wasn't an option. First, their website doesn't work, ever. Once you click on documents that should be available to download, all you'll get is "We're sorry, but an unexpected system error has occurred. We are unable to process your request." The website didn't work when I first signed in when my loan was transferred in May of 2018, and I still was not able to access any documents when I began closing in August 2018. So, I called to get a copy of the letter faxed instead. They'll apologize to you for their website not working, and suggest you should try again in 24 hours. Laughable. Their website never works. They tell me they'll fax the letter. The following afternoon, my lawyer informs me the letter was never faxed. I called back, and at this point was informed by a customer service agent named Chris that "the letter had been generated, but it will take 24-48 hours to send the fax." WHO TAKES 24-48 HOURS TO SEND A FAX? Why wouldn't you inform customers this is your policy when they call, rather than let them sit around and wait for something that has even been sent? Chris even suggested that I push my closing date. I don't think that's an appropriate solution for a customer service agent to offer a customer, and an outright rude response. Chris was able to expedite the letter and send it to a supervisor, the only one on duty 9/7/18, who was unable to fax it immediately or move me to the front of the queue, despite the fact a title company, realtors, two parties and their lawyers were waiting for the document to complete a home closing. Worthless company and horrible customer service. Glad I don't have to deal with them anymore!

    I wish I could give 0 stars. Worst ever! I went online to cancel my automatic payment because my paycheck was going to be a few days late due to the holiday in January. Online allowed me to cancel the automatic draft so I though everything was okay. I went online to make a 1-time payment a few days later. They charged me twice. Of course I didn't have enough in my back for 2 mortgage payments so I was charged an overdraft fee. When I called they told me that you can't cancel automatic payments online, you have to fax in a letter (why do they even have the option!) I faxed in a letter and received a letter a few weeks later confirming the cancellation. Well, on February's statement they charged me a $25 fee. They have a new feature where you can chat online. However, any question that you ask they tell you to call customer service. Why offer a service that does nothing? When I called them about it they said it was because I had insufficient funds from January when I had 2 payments. I tried to explain that it was their fault for not cancelling my automatic withdrawal, but they wouldn't take off the fee. I'm cancelling with them as soon as I can get a refinance somewhere else.

    Don't bother with auto payments, they'll just sell your loan off within two months. I missed a payment because of Rushmore transferring me and sending notification after the payment was due. This company is not interested in its customers and we have no say in whether we get transferred to or from Rushmore.

    We were not happy at all with Rushmore. My mortgage was made on auto pay. I was never late with a payment. Included in our payment was our home owner insurance and taxes. We sold our house a few weeks ago only to find out Rushmore had not paid our summer tax bill. Now we paid them in escrow to pay the taxes. So where did the money go?? I have called them I have emailed them and no response. So now I had to pay the taxes again so I could close on our house. I have never had a mortgage company treat their clients this bad. I WILL NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!

    I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I never had any problems with the other mortgage companies that owned my loan taking a payment. I had trouble from the very first payment. They refused my money and even tried taking my house. I wouldn't stand for that and I got help from lawyers and other agencies to force them to take my money. Now they are selling it to another mortgage company, thank God!

    Hate that this company took over managing my loan. Payments keep getting applied to principle instead of towards monthly bils and caused me to be be in default twice this year yet covered every single minimum payment due. SMH. Now i will loose another hour or 3 of my life wasted having to call in, argue with care only to then have someone else that knows what the hell they are talking about step in to fix my account again.

    I was on hold for 15-20 mins then a guy came on who was rude and disrespectful. Hangs up the phone on me. I called back spoke to a lady who was nice and courteous and answered all my question. I believe her name is either Shavonne or Shavonna her time and patient was very appreciated. Because of her I was able to figured some stuff out. She is the only person I spoke with so far with good Public Relations.

    They either didn't pay my school tax bill at all or sent it to the wrong address and I wasn't made aware of this until I got a delinquent tax notice from a tax collector 7 months later. I then spent 3 months trying to get Rushmore to pay the tax bill out of my escrow.

    My account was switch from the old lender to this company by the end of November and when I try to pay the month of December they don't accept me payment because the paper works was not ready. Today when I contact the automatic system said , I have a delay on my payment. When I talk with the rep. about the issue I lost my time because they not solve me about my delay, and this what happen, until today 12/27/2021 I'm not received any bill or any documentation from this company. They want me pay the month without any bill or any documentation. The service is one the worst that I experienced. I'm not recommended for nothing

Only discovered this when payment was not withdrawn from my bank and then had to ask who the heck they sold the mortgage to because we were not contacted by that new company. Very unprofessional situation. Would never use them again.

    I would have given them no stars if possible. There is not enough I can say about this company that would make it worthy of what kind of awful customer service I have had with them over the past year. It has taken me 8 months to get my taxes adjusted and they still cant get it correct. The county has called them two times, provided them with two stamped and signed letters and they still cant get it right. Every time they mess it up they have to do another "study" which ends up taking them 10 business days. Do not bank with Rushmore, do not give them your money, there is literally nothing you can do when they are at fault.

    When my loan was transferred to them I was really worried because of all the bad reviews. I have had no problems with them. Anytime I have called they have been helpful. The website is easy to use and understand. I can see all my payments , escrow statements , it did take a while for my loan to show in the system but once it did I haven’t had any issues.

OR, how about you don't pay anything and we modify, sure it will jack up your credit, etc etc.... Their options for getting a customer on track are not in the best interest of the customer. THEY SOLD MY LOAN to a company that has no record of my previous payments and I am still on hold to which the call was escalated after 48 minutes because even that customer service representative apologetically explained that the entire account is in disarray, they just bought my loan 3 weeks ago. Pros: There are some good apples in the company which gave me some relief. Mobile and online account is easy to navigate.

    This place has to be the WORST mortgage service group on the planet. You can never reach anyone. They never return phone calls. My mortgage was just transferred to these clowns. There should be standards for mortgage service companies. They need to be held accountable for their actions. Update: I was given two different sets of critical information on two different days by two different people. I can’t wait to be rid of this company. When you can reach them you are not given correct information. It’s appalling. This company needs to be investigated for their business practices.

    I have been dealing with Rushmore Mortgage company and have seen an improvement in their service the last few months. I had a large hurricane insurance claim and the company they had this service contracted through gave me a lot of issues. The Rushmore Rep Nathan Daman has been there anytime I reached out to try and help. Today we have reached a point where it seems things will run smoothly. Rushmore is working to fix all issues for the customer.

    Rushmore made it impossible to get my pay-off statement in under 5 business days and is most likely going to cause me to miss having this essential document in time for the closing of this property. I had to call several times and email to get anyone to even agree to try to expedite getting me the pay-off document. My primary loan on this property was through SPS and I was able to get the pay-off document instantly on their website by pushing a button. I will never do business with Rushmore...not intentionally any way.

    These people, who I have NEVER heard of, called and said I owe them a debt from 2017. I tried to tell this guy that it was some kind of mistake. He tried to push me into making a payment to settle this fake account. I told him I need info on how to dispute this claim because it is not on my credit report. At that point, he said “ so you refuse” and hung up. SCAM ALERT!

    This is the worst company ever! They illegally deferred my mortgage, without me asking or authorizing. They reported it to the credit reporting agencies, which has lowered my credit scores, causing my interest rates to increase on my other loans. I’ve been calling, emailing and messaging them for months in an attempt to get this corrected. I finally got them to start showing the correct information on their website, but still can not get them to report it correctly. They have the worst system. I call their number and they tell me to write an email asking them to fix the problem, which they then respond weeks later with a letter stating everything is correct.     Customer service is terrible. You are on hold hours on end, and even if you do request a call back, you never get one. I've even tried sending emails which also go unanswered. Not my choice for a mortgage company, but my lender sold my mortgage to them to manage.

    Mortgage went up 125% in 3 years under them. They can't count and screwed up my escrow... so naturally I should pay more because they can't do their jo . It was only for 12 months... 3 months later, it never went down. In fact it went up again. 6 years with embrace and no change. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SELL OR REFINANCE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!

They talk to you like you’re trash. I have never seen anything like this company. I just sold my house because of them. 2 months after I went to settlement they put Foreclosure on my credit report.     The moment my loan was taken over by these jokers they started to lie to me. Via payment method. Then how I wasn’t going to be delinquent as per federal law for the first 60 days of the transfer because they couldn’t except my payments… So immediately they started sending threatening letters I love how if I didn’t pay up right away they were going to foreclose on my house. I don’t trust him. Can’t wait for my creditor to find a more suitable company. I also assume part of their income has to do with the amount of paperwork they send after they lie to a customer. I have more than a ream of paper from them just to tell me a lie. On top of that, for the COVID-19 assistance it all has to be paid back the moment the states open back up according to the website. How is that helping people?

    No stars for this company. It is the worst mortgage company ever! We had our loan sold to them during the time of our house fire. The customer service tells lies and does not know what they are talking about. They are not courteous. They do not work with you; even though you bend over backward for them to send them paperwork. Yet they send letters in the mail saying that we failed to work with them and could not get a hold of us; yet there were no messages on the phone. I would never recommend this company to anyone. After my home is finally repaired I am getting another mortgage company. There is way too much red tape with this company. THE WORST MORTGAGE COMPANY I EVER HAD!!!

    Paid off 2 loans with Rushmore Aug 3, 2018. Took 5 phone calls and almost 60 days to receive escrow money returned which was over $1300. Was told would not take more than 30 days. Every time I called was told would look into and get back with us. No one ever did. Fifth time I called got cut off after 25 min on hold looking into. I finally got someone that stated that there was no indication on why they were not dispersing our money to us. Said would request to have check dispersed immediately. She said their were no notes in my account stating that anyone previous to her has looked into. We will see if I get without having to call again. Customer service is horrible!!! No follow up on their side.

    They make it so difficult to manage your loan. Requiring you to change a password every 6 months. Now they have changed the website. It looks exactly the same. Saying I need another user name and password. I have tried calling 3 times this week. They are always closed. They are a collection agency. So they probably want obstacles so people will mess up and they can collect all sorts of late fees and penalties. I had no choice but to take out my old WaMu checks and snail mail a payment. Also with a 2 year old payment coupon because they haven’t sent any. I keep hoping they will sell my loan but probably won’t.

    My loan was purchased by this company. Was told I would receive details of how to make payments in a welcome packet but never received one. There is no way to email or message them after hours so I had to take time off of work just to get the information I needed to be able to pay them. Poor customer service and I will be refinancing soon because of it. Update July 24th: Company continues to be hard to communicate with, and has overall been nothing but a headache from day 1. Theyve only owned my loan for 3 months and I have a an issue each month I have been there that requires me to call in and send in more and more paperwork. If you are like me and had your loan bought by this company, I strongly recommend you refinance asap before this place can ruin you.

They incorrectly applied my payments making it look like I didn't make a payment that month, the app and online system is a joke, never working properly. And trying to resolve these issues takes an hour on hold, to finally get through to someone who barely speaks english. Terrible customer service. Avoid this company if you can.

    This company is trying to use the pandemic to take peoples' houses. I asked for a forbearance after losing all three jobs to the pandemic and was granted one, but I felt in my gut that I shouldn't trust them, so as soon as my stimulus check came in I payed up completely. Two weeks later, they are sending me a delinquency letter despite no prior later payments. Even though it is within their posted office hours they won't pick up their customer service line. Extremely shady.

    I feel compelled to add an addendum to my review below - I had NOT one call back - not one - for five weeks, and maybe six, from Rushmore. Though I had been assured by "Nicholas" that he would call me back with the answers to my questions, AND he promised me that his supervisor would call me. It was during this time, that because of such HORRIFIC customer service, I decided to take my mortgage elsewhere - not because of the interest rate, but because of the dreadfully poor customer service. It was also then that I posted the below review. Well low and behold hold, the VERY NEXT DAY - five weeks later- ONLY AFTER I posted the review, I got a telephone call from "Nicholas" to ask if I had any questions. Seriously, you HAVE TO WORK HARD to provide such poor service - look at their many, many reviews, and look at their score. Service this bad takes effort, and Rushmore has given it all they've got! And this halfwit , Nicholas, sealed the deal for my leaving! The absolute worst customer service possible. Ill informed and rude staff. Horrifying that they are in business. Beware! After two billing cycles, I have taken my mortgage from this company and gone elsewhere. Multiple phone calls for clarification on several points and each phone call yielded contradictory answers - never the same story twice. No follow thru, no answers and their customer service staff should not be allowed to interact with clients. Requested a supervisor, and got "Nicholas" - clearly a blowhard with a chip on his shoulder, and with very, very little working knowledge about this company. Asked that his supervisor call me - and never did that call come. I found lower rates and knowledgeable, friendly people with another company. who have shown that they value my business. Rushmore, to me, is an absolute joke. A very bad joke.

    This company is terrible and unethical. Do not use them for your loan and if they buy out an existing loan, refinance as soon as you can to get away from them. We have had two incidents of this company failing to send us the information we needed. 1. When we tried to remove our PMI, they lied and told us we couldn't, even though under state law we could. When they were called out on this, they claimed they sent us the information we requested but they never did. We had to call them multiple times, and what should have taken less than a month took 3 months. During those 3 months, we continued having to pay the PMI, which resulted in close to $900 additional that we lost as a result of them moving slowly and not wanting to remove it. 2. We are currently trying to refinance our loan and go with another loan company. Rushmore has been asked multiple times to send over the payoff amount so they can process the new loan -- by our broker, by the escrow company and by us at least twice. They claim to have faxed it or sent it, but it hasn't arrived. It's been over a month. The loan was supposed to close on April 13th, but because they have failed to get the payoff amount to the escrow company our broker has had to file 2 extensions (the second one we have to pay for). Each time we ask about it, they tell us that they sent the information. They have a letter in the file, but it's never actually being sent. That's the same trick they used when they wanted to stall us on the PMI. I am so fed up with this company. We are trying to refinance and get away from them and we can't even do that because they will not send the payoff amount. DO NOT EVER GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NEGLIGENT AND DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL.

    I had my loan with another banking institution and my loan was transferred to Rushmore. I didn’t know that. I was behind on my notes. I called Rushmore Loan Management up and spoke to an account representative who was very gracious and friendly and polite and gave me all the information I needed to get my past due loan caught up. I did what he told me to do and he kept in touch with me via phone and email to make sure everything was good to go. I had other questions and I have spoken with other people there and they were just as friendly polite gracious as the first person that I talked to the very first day I called. I would recommend Rushmore Loan Management to anyone who want to do business with them. I my opinion they are good people to do business with. They worked with me and do believe they would with you. I think they are a business with Character. Character is to a person of what motor oil is to a car or what you are in the dark when no one is looking.
